Hotel is beautiful, the grounds and view are excellent. Just don't eat at any of the restaurants if you want good service from the managers or hostess. Servers very nice, managers if you need something or if there is a mistake don't expect any help. Go off site to eat.

Gorgeous property right on top of the ocean! Our welcome service was amazing but I had to say I was a little disappointed in the condition of our room. Marked up walls, spots on the carpet and the furniture looked worn... you could hear the guests next door and in the hallway which again surprised me. We had a beautiful view, dinner at Raya and our spa services were amazing! The only real downer was the service was extremely slow and not friendly at the marketplace. We will definitely go back and hopefully the areas that were concerning are addressed.

I've been all across the United States staying in Ritz Carltons and other 5 star hotels for several years. This was one of the best locations that I've been to, the view is truly incredible, the food was pretty good, and the location is very close to Pacific Coast HWY and if you needed you could go south towards San Diego or north towards West L.A. and Santa Monica rather easily (as long as you're prepared to deal with the immense amount of traffic, but that's just how California is when you're taking the 405). I'm a videographer out of Pennsylvania, this hotel provided some really nice footage for the videos that I shoot. I was treated very will (as always) and shown respect (kind of talked up to which was cool considering my age [15]). All in all I will be back shortly as I was there last April of 2017 and it's already late May of 2017. P.S. if you're traveling to California for the first time, DO NOT hype yourself up over In-N-Out burger, it's not as good as you expect it would be.

We stayed at this beautiful resort for a conference and it was an amazing experience. The location of the hotel is right above the beach and a short walk down from the hotel. They also have golf cart shuttles to help people go down or come up from the beach. The hotel has umbrellas and chairs down by the beach for guests to use. The main hotel itself is nicely appointed and decorated with fresh flowers daily. The restaurant and bar serves delicious high end fare and really good seafood. There is also a quick serve coffee and counter service eatery that has great coffee and delicious scones. Our room was also immaculate and had turn down service each night. There are two pool areas in the complex and our room was near the larger main pool. The pool side bar made great drinks and also had some light fare to eat. We also enjoyed the large outdoor hot tubs at night after a long day. Dana point is a nice location because of the accesibility to the Catalina islands and the area is fairly upscale. It is a bit removed from los angeles. We liked the ability to go for a day to LA or drive down to San Diego. It felt like a good midway point to launch our adventures. If we are back in the area, we would definitely stay there again.
