Stayed here a week prior to Christmas to visit friends in the OC. This resort is in a beautiful location with incredible views a short drive from Laguna town center. We had a garden level ocean view room with a fireplace, couldn't have asked for a nicer view. Rooms are so/so - but the surroundings and all of the other areas of the resort make this place an almost perfect 10. The bars/restaurants onsite were really nice......and the Spa was a very nice facility

We visited the Ritz-Carlton Laguna Niguel for a vacation. This hotel has stunning views of the ocean and is a great location for easy beach access. The hotel has many amenities that we took advantage of including the all of the restaurants (Raya, enoSteak, Bar Raya, The Market Place, and 180 Blue), the Spa, Fitness Center, and business center. The restaurants at the hotel are fantastic. Have to visit 180Blue at least once to take in the views and enjoy meal/cocktails. Would also recommend Raya or the Market Place for great breakfast options (The Market place has a good breakfast menu if looking for something more affordable and quick). The fitness center is a must-do to enjoy breathtaking views with windows from floor to ceiling while getting a workout in. If looking for a great business center this is not the hotel. They have little cubby hole type offices with enough room for one computer and a printer. Not bad if trying to print something real quick but don’t plan on using it for anything more than that (printer was out of ink so can’t really count on that either). If needing to print something I would just go to the concierge desk as they are much more responsive. Definitely avoid the spa if looking for premium service and experience (which you should expect at this price point). The men’s amenities only have two showers and can get crowded fast minimizing the overall experience. The staff responsiveness to requests is also poor. Overall not the best Ritz hotel we have stayed at. Guest rooms are older (can have a dense old smell to them) and the beds are uncomfortable. The ocean views are spectacular which makes up for some of the negatives.

Hi all, We arrived last Friday evening and were amazed to find out that there was ocean front availability and that staff had upgraded our room to Ocean Front and stated it was because we paid via the Ritz card. The view was amazing-- full ocean front view outside of the window. We ate at Raya that evening and the dinner was delicious. Wait-staff went out of their way to accommodate our Vegetarian diet--- creating off-menu pasta for us. The next morning we took a walk down the the beach and tide pools-- to find them filled with crabs! What an awesome experience. Will be back!

If you want to have a special weekend go to the Ritz CARLTON Laguna Niguel and upgrade to the club lounge. It's totally worth it. Pennie and Diana and the ladies on the lounge really make it worth your while.
