The Seagate Hotel & Spa in Delray Beach, Florida

Face the sea and you might catch a breeze from Grand Bahama, just 85 miles offshore. Island ease is a way of life at The Seagate Hotel & Spa, sandwiched between a private beach and the boutique- and gallery-lined main street of what USA Today named America's Most Fun Small Town. Delray Beach – and Seagate's PGA-caliber country club down the road – may be a temptation, but indulging in the resort's understated luxury holds equal pull. Guests who choose to wander can do so with a complimentary chauffeur to destinations up to three miles away.

Greet the morning with a stroll by the ocean, accessed through the British Colonial façade of Seagate's private beach club. Continue to unwind in a cabana by the beachside pool, watermelon daiquiri in hand. Rekindle your afternoon energy with a private tennis lesson, then get ready for an al fresco dinner in the company of sharks (and Garibaldi damselfish – the property's reef-sized tropical fish tanks are award-winning). The night is young, and Atlantic Avenue's nightclubs await. That cabana is waiting for you tomorrow.

Loved this hotel. Probably the most happy and helpful staff I have ever had the pleasure of meeting. They were more than happy to help us navigate, shopping and dining. The rooms are large and very comfortable. We loved the beach club and would certainly return

Recently returned from 4 nights at the Seagate. We return to this hotel for the 3rd time because of the service and amenities provided. This trip we have mixed feelings about the service. Bell services and Valet have always been a high point of service for us. Kevin and Christope were great this trip but some of the new staff were not as great and did not make as much of an effort. Like being taken in the house car and dropped a block away from the restaurant and the driver simply stating... you know where it is right? We just did not feel the same level of service from all of those staff. Housekeeping left little to be desired this trip. They left trash in our room, threw away items we had on the table that were not trash and were just purchased macaroons from the spot down the street. Disappointed in this. Service at the Beach Club was great. Drinks on the sand and lunch at the restaurant were good and service prompt. Great amenity and the reason we stay at the Seagate. Service at the pool bar was 50/50 with Matt being fantastic and the gentleman on the last day could learn a thing or two from Matt about service. Service at the Cafe downstairs was just awful. I recommend going to the Over the Bridge Cafe just well over the bridge for breakfast because the staff and service at the cafe is just not worth it. It should not take 15m to get a toasted bagel and coffee. The staff never had any drive to quickly sort orders and were annoyed when asked how long it would take. I would not bother with getting anything to order here.

Bad customer service front desk girl rude, GM is a joke and doesn't get anything done. They offered a free room I checked out fast. My favorite was when a bug crawled out of my bed.... that was it I left

The Seagate never disappoints. This is our third year going and even brought a new born this trip. The staff is top notch and the beach club is incredible. Tomato/avocado salad with salmon is perfect at the pool. My son crushed pancakes every morning and countless orders of chicken fingers.

The hotel goes the distance with its staff! They are incredible, and accommodating. Great restaurant recommendations and when due to a storm in the northeast u.s they offered us a choice from leaving early and crediting a nights stay or extending our stay. To be fair, I give the good with the needs improvement. While the rooms and hallways are acceptable beige boxes. They are sadly outdated looking and feeling - the bed is too soft as well - though the sheets and comforter are comfortable. The thick dark wood moldings feel very outdated. If they were going truly for the guest experience- why stop with your staff- change your art - make the room feel dynamic like you really care. I swear I’d come back rather than try another place out. Super fish tank by the way and really good hotel gym! Beach was heaven (and I live in LA)
