The Seagate Hotel & Spa

Where should I start.... The hotel itself is incredible.  Very upscale, clean, looks practically brand new. Rooms are very good size - we had 2 queen beds with balcony facing the back of the hotel. Very quiet. The bathroom is really nice. Shower pressure is amazing. Location, Beach club are all top notches.  Now.... If you read other latest reviews, you would notice that there is something wrong is going on. Hotel was acquired few weeks back by Marriott and transition period is quite rocky at best. Check in was a disaster. The hotel wasn't even half full, but rooms weren't available until 4 PM, when they magically became available. The reception lady wasn't even trying to be nice. Upon checking periodically with her if the room is available, she didn't even ask for the room number to verify. Her answer was the same - Guarantee check in is 4PM. So, at 3:55PM our room wasn't ready, but at 4 PM we were handed keys, and when we went to the room, cleaning crew wasn't even around on the floor, so obviously, our room was ready for quite some time. Why did they not allow people to check in early, no one knows.. And it wasn't just us. Many people were screaming and yelling in the lobby. It was a complete disaster. Reception wasn't even trying to be nice. And btw, we did not expect the room when we arrived, but we were told that our room would be cleaned at the first priority.. Why telling us if that wasn't true?  The rest of the staff were hit and miss. At the beach club, when we first arrived, we asked if there was a water to drink, we were told by the older gentlemen who were working at the bar that we had to buy a bottle of water. Fuji water $11.. 5 minutes later we see they are handing out free water to everyone in the beach club... In the room key card there was a note that everyone gets $20 room credit for any food or beverage purposes, but when we tried to charge it to the room, we were told that system is not set up yet.. For two days were weren't charge anything to the room. I had to mention that during check out to get the credit. Also, there was a note that all Gold and above Marriott Bonvoy members will get free pastries daily. When we asked the manager what is it, he had no idea.. He said that he will find out, but he never did, and we got nothing. Again, we did not ask for it, they offered it us, but never delivered. Also, we never got welcome gift when we checked it - something that every Gold and above Marriott member is entitled.. Housekeeping was a disaster. We asked our room to be cleaned by 1PM daily, out of 4 night it only happened once...The housekeeper told us that front deck never informed them that our room needs to be cleaned earlier.. Again, back to front desk incompetence...  Will we stay again? I don't know.. I like the hotel a lot, but if Marriott attempts to ruin it to the ground with horrible service, then obviously not. I will be checking their reviews periodically to see what direction management takes.

Absolutely love the Seagates! The hotel is clean. And everyone was very friendly! Paulo and Maria at the pool are some shining stars! And let’s not forget Sophia and Daniel at the beach club! We couldn’t have asked for a better experience! Thank you to all!

Visiting family at the Seagate hotel and Beach Club, I found it to be an awesome experience. We met amazing people, and had a great time. It's a beautiful facilities. Thank you to Juan at the pool. Helpful and friendly. Definitelywill be back.

Had the most amazing time at the Seagate we stay here, especially for the beach club. Juan at the beach club honestly went over the top on service level and very attentive. There was never a moment in time that they didn’t make sure everything was up to the perfect standard. Hands down the best hotel and unique place to stay in Delray Beach.

Beautiful hotel con staff, especially Glenn the bell captain who helped me and was kind to help me find my Uber. Also the concierge I forgot his name dark skin Afro hair very very helpful accommodating. I was disappointed that I couldn’t check in early but that’s American Express. They do say 4 o’clock But early if available I’ve always gotten in early in every hotel but this time I had to wait until almost 4 o’clock. They have a great beach club service at the bar is great. The room is clean perfect hotel.
