The Seagate Hotel & Spa in Delray Beach, Florida

Face the sea and you might catch a breeze from Grand Bahama, just 85 miles offshore. Island ease is a way of life at The Seagate Hotel & Spa, sandwiched between a private beach and the boutique- and gallery-lined main street of what USA Today named America's Most Fun Small Town. Delray Beach – and Seagate's PGA-caliber country club down the road – may be a temptation, but indulging in the resort's understated luxury holds equal pull. Guests who choose to wander can do so with a complimentary chauffeur to destinations up to three miles away.

Greet the morning with a stroll by the ocean, accessed through the British Colonial façade of Seagate's private beach club. Continue to unwind in a cabana by the beachside pool, watermelon daiquiri in hand. Rekindle your afternoon energy with a private tennis lesson, then get ready for an al fresco dinner in the company of sharks (and Garibaldi damselfish – the property's reef-sized tropical fish tanks are award-winning). The night is young, and Atlantic Avenue's nightclubs await. That cabana is waiting for you tomorrow.

After a long red-eye flight that landed at 5 am, I was very tired and eager to rest my head. I knew check in wasn’t until 3pm but I ended up calling the Seagate Hotel at around 7 am. The front desk staff were so gracious and told us to come to the hotel and they would try and accommodate an early check-in. Right when we arrived we were greeted by the most friendly bell-hop and he took our bags from us and escorted us to the front desk. They ended up finding a room for us and we were able to check in at 7:30am! Now that is service. We instantly knew we were in for a good stay. Our room was a deluxe King and was probably the most spacious hotel room I have ever stayed in. The décor was very sophisticated yet subtle luxury. The bed and pillows were very comfortable and I slept so well each night. Inside the room were a mini bar that was fully stocked, snacks for purchase, and a complimentary Keurig with a variety of coffee flavors. Such a nice touch! One of my favorite things about this hotel was the beach club. The Seagate beach club is about a mile away, right on the ocean. You can either walk to it or the hotel has a few really nice Cadillac Escalades that will drive you to it. All you have to do is go to the lobby and request a ride and usually they are ready to take you within minutes! The first day we got to the beach club we ate lunch right on the patio overlooking the ocean. The food was tasty and the service was top notch. We then walked out to the ocean but it was a little chilly so we ended up just hanging at the hotel the first day. The next day was warmer weather so we hit up the beach club first thing and ended up spending the day lounging at the beach, and the pool that is also at the beach club. They give you four complimentary towels and there are PLENTY of beach chairs. There are also rent-able non-motorized water sports at the beach too. AND they offer pool and beach side food and drink service. Back at the hotel, they do have an onsite pool and Jacuzzi. Which is really nice if you want somewhere to lounge without having to walk or take a ride to the beach club. They also offer poolside food and drink service. Along with the pool, there is a gym and spa located on-site. I ended up getting a facial and it was excellent. The spa is very warm and relaxing. Again, the staff is so friendly and genuine. They offer you a robe and really nice sandals to wear around the spa. There is a steam room, showers, and couches to lounge in. Another plus to this hotel is the location. It is really close to so many different shops and restaurants that are all within walking distance. If you don’t want to walk around, or can’t walk too far, the hotel offers complimentary driving service in the Escalade within a 3-mile radius. The hotel is right on Atlantic Ave which is a very lively street with TONS of restaurants and shops. The nice thing about the hotel is that it is towards the end of all the action so it doesn’t get too loud. Overall, the Seagate is a wonderful luxury boutique hotel with AMAZING staff, lots of activities to enjoy, great food, and an excellent choice for relaxation. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone who wants to recharge and enjoy a nice vacation in Delray Beach!

We stayed 5 nights in Nov on our Florida road trip. First impressions of Delray itself is that it’s a friendly, welcoming , well kept town. The hotel was really easy to find and well located, as within walking distance to all bars and pubs and restaurants. Reasonably new with large rooms, well equipped with everything you would expect from a top class hotel. The pool is very shaded but we prefer the beach and included in the resort fee was access to their own beach club. We got the courtesy car there and back every day and only had to wait max 5 mins. We also caught a lift to the restaurants on 1st street a couple of times in the evening. There are lots of restaurants and bars that do happy hours somewhere between 3 and 7pm. The town is lively but the hotel is well enough away from any noise. Staff all helpful. One downside was that the gym in the hotel wasn’t in use due to work needed post hurricane. We could have used the gym at their country club but this was too far away really for us to be bothered . About 4 miles. Would recommend both the hotel and the resort.

Originally booked to spend 5 nights in the Keys as part of our trip around Florida but due to the hurt damage we re booked the Seagate in Delray Beach This is a really nice modern hotel with friendly attentive staff We stayed in a Superior balcony room which was enormous and gave us a view off to the sea a few blocks away The hotel runs transport to there beach club a few minutes away which was great with sun beds and a pool and a nice restaurant They will also drive you into downtown to all the bars and restaurants Only shame for us was the fitness room being out of action due to some hurricane damage but this did not detract from what was a truly memorable 5 nights in Delray Beach

Even though I live in not far away...a group of friends came together at the Seagate to celebrate a birthday. Its a lovely resort and it was fully booked with many large groups, wedding, celebrations. My room was not ready until the very end of the day and the hotel seemed to be a bit chaotic. The staff - very nice! from valet, bell, front desk! Great location - walking distance to dinner, bars and shopping.

It is not often I post but I just had to tell you about our recent stay at the Seagate Hotel and Spa. This was our first time there. We were immediately greeted by Cory, the bell hop, with a smile and a sincere greeting. It was very welcoming. The room was beautiful; one of the nicest we ever stayed in. We had an issue with the room but Darren Green, Hotel Room Manager, responded very quickly and professionally. All staff were friendly and personable. Thanks! The aquariums were stunning. Entertainment top notch, afternoon and evening. Car service to and from restaurants in town was an added plus. Lobby was decked out for Halloween. What a display! Heard it is even more beautiful at Christmas time. We felt very epecial staying here. My only suggestion would be Purrel stations throughout the lobby.
