The Seagate Hotel & Spa in Delray Beach, Florida

Face the sea and you might catch a breeze from Grand Bahama, just 85 miles offshore. Island ease is a way of life at The Seagate Hotel & Spa, sandwiched between a private beach and the boutique- and gallery-lined main street of what USA Today named America's Most Fun Small Town. Delray Beach – and Seagate's PGA-caliber country club down the road – may be a temptation, but indulging in the resort's understated luxury holds equal pull. Guests who choose to wander can do so with a complimentary chauffeur to destinations up to three miles away.

Greet the morning with a stroll by the ocean, accessed through the British Colonial fašade of Seagate's private beach club. Continue to unwind in a cabana by the beachside pool, watermelon daiquiri in hand. Rekindle your afternoon energy with a private tennis lesson, then get ready for an al fresco dinner in the company of sharks (and Garibaldi damselfish – the property's reef-sized tropical fish tanks are award-winning). The night is young, and Atlantic Avenue's nightclubs await. That cabana is waiting for you tomorrow.

And the leaky iron. And the broken nightstand light. And the view of a wall. And the crappy lumpy bed. I would have preferred to stay at a large brand hotel where they are dedicated to real service. The lobby is super average with ugly flowers.

This hotel is one of my favorites ! The front desk staff is always very helpful ( especially when you leave your key in the room three times - sorry) and ready to assist in suggestions for restaurants, hair salons and shopping! They have a wonderful shuttle service that will take you to their Beach Club for meals (which are gastronomic delights) or a day at the beach. I had a very relaxing massage from Joanie that made me feel as though I was walking on a cloud. I also was able to really indulge myself with a facial by Jimena. Pure decadence and absolutely worth it. Thanks to all who made this visit so much fun and delightful!

We visited the Seagate hotel in Delray Beach for an evening of dancing to blues and jazz music. What a great evening, lovely atmosphere and the band were so talented. Only downside was the price of the drinks, 49 bucks for a round of 4 drinks was a little bit pricey however we didn't let that spoil our fun.

We stayed here for 2 weeks. It was terrific. Our room (on the 4th floor with a little balcony) was clean - could have used some more shelves - quiet. The staff was first class. We visited the Beach Club - excellent food - and the Golf club where we were treated like old members! BTW, location is just 2 blocks from the Atlantic and it is one of the best beaches around. The equally well located for all the great places to eat on Altantic Ave.

Stayed at this hotel for one night on my Boyfriend's birthday. We had a lovely time. It's located very close to all the action on Atlantic Avenue. And the hotel has a driver to take you to the beach or to the happening places on the strip. The room was very nice. It's pricey, but at least you feel like you are getting some quality for the money. I am only giving it 4 stars because we had extra charges on our bill that did not belong to us. And even though they were removed upon dispute at checkout, the person at the front desk was not very friendly during the transaction. Other than that, the rest of the staff were great and we enjoyed ourselves very much.
