DisappointingI suppose I put too much stock in the Seagate's reputation as an outstanding, high-end establishment. For the most part, it was indeed quite nice. Had I paid full price however, I would have been horrified at the dirty stained carpeting in our rooms. Also, upon check in, I notified the front desk that the foyer light in my room was out. No one ever came to check it out or change a bulb. Not a big deal, but considering the hotel, disappointing that they would not pay attention to a small detail like that.
Also, surprised that wifi was not free in the rooms. Really? We already have to pay for mandatory valet parking. Why not through in wifi?

Everything well designed at the Seagate! The hotel location was right in the midst of all the shops, galleries and restaurants in town. Everything at this hotel location was in walking distance. Although the hotel is not on the ocean, there is the awesome Seagate Beach Club a few blocks away. When the hotel is busy, they have a trolley to transport guests back and forth. Otherwise, they transport guests in a white Mercedes Benz SUV which is what was used during our stay. It's also available to take you to shops and restaurants in town - so handy, but everything is really within walking distance. The property has two pools - one at the hotel and one at the Beach Club. Lots of beach chairs and umbrellas provided at the beach. There is also access to the Seagate Country Club and a lovely spa. Good service provided by all staff members.
Reminiscent of the seaside towns of yesteryear, Delray Beach is a South Florida jewel. Part of its charm is The Seagate Hotel & Spa, an engaging boutique resort situated a sandal-toss from the beach. With a prominent corner location, striped blue awning accents and jutting balconies, The Seagate, a member of Preferred Hotels & Resorts, part of the established Preferred Hotel Group, exudes barefoot elegance. Guestrooms are light and airy with contrasting features - dark woods versus cream linens, cool marble complimenting warm textiles. Transparent glass doors lead to chic balconies where occasional trade winds create a breezy affect. Spa-like amenities are found in each bath and include jetted tubs, a stash of luxury lotions, and thick cotton robes.
The Seagate's premier restaurant, The Atlantic Grille, serves a selection of fresh seafood and succulent steaks. Bold flavors, artful presentations, and savory ingredients add to the overall culinary experience. On weekends, a fine brunch makes for a wonderful mid-morning meal. At convenient Etc. Café, you will find grab and go items when time is of the essence. The Seagate Beach Club, just a short walk or shuttle ride away, offers two venues - a casual eatery and a fine dining restaurant. It is also your gateway to the ocean with aquatic equipment and private cabanas. Drift off momentarily while enjoying a massage at the hotel's full-service spa or take a swim in the pool. Challenge yourself to a vigorous workout at the fitness center. Nearby Atlantic Avenue is filled with shops and lounges. Pop in to an art gallery opening or sit at a sidewalk table for two inhaling the world around you.
