My family and I had a superb stay at the hotel last week. The staff was awesome. We enjoyed all the amenities including the fantastic spa services. We will most certainly return to experience this slice of heaven.

I stayed in Diani Reef for two nights in November and I have to say, these guys understand what attention to detail means. They had incredible main course and dessert buffet options and all their staff were very friendly and on hand every time to make sure our cups were filled and our meals were catered to swiftly. Their Teppanyaki dinner meal was, to say the least, outstanding. The chef had some pretty sweet skills with the utensils and served us a great array of meats and veggies, all the while, explaining to us the dishes and their history. It was an interesting culinary journey. I would definitely recommend this. The beach is quite clean and I had to force myself not spending the entire day. It was quite calm. You can also enjoy some camel rides at the beach. There were one or two beach boys but these ones are quite respectful and don't get in your space at all. They were pretty respectful and only engage you when you engage them, not like in Mombasa and other parts of Diani. My girlfriend really really enjoyed the spa and she can't stop talking about it! We also played some tennis, enjoyed the pool bar and the daily entertainment was quite captivating. All in all, I would highly recommend Diani Reef for friends, family, a romantic getaway, you name it!

I spent 6 days (5 nights) at the Diani Reef Beach Resort while working in nearby Likoni. The staff could not have been friendlier or more attentive. The hotel has lovely grounds right on the beach and they have a buffet breakfast and buffet dinner every night. The bathroom was a bit tired but that is a minor point in an otherwise very pleasant stay.

My friend had a birthday weekend getaway and we settled on Diani Reef Resort. After a traffic filled journey from the SGR train station, we were very tired. Upon reaching the resort, there was no "welcoming committee" so that threw us a bit. We made our way to the reception and as we were checking in, we were given a cool welcoming drink but unfortunately we had to ask for some freshening up towels. The towels were damp and left a smell on our hands. Common practice at the Coast is that you are given towels upon arrival. They compensated this by giving us a room with the most scenic view, overlooking the beach and the pool. One thing they can change is their bathroom. The whole showering inside a bathtub is so 1918, they should revamp it into shower cubicles. The resort is beautiful to say the least and so quiet, it was absolutely amazing. The decor is modern, the staff are polite and helpful, the rooms are spacious, the proximity to the beach is super! The food can do with more variety especially the breakfast menu. There are definitely things they can improve on, but overall, I totally enjoyed the resort. It is calming, it is beautiful, it is relaxing. Can everyone just try it already!

Thank God i booked and did not hear the exaggerated news on Kenyan politics. It could not have been more peaceful. The beach at this resort wins heads up. From the crystal clear warm sea water at your doorstep to the soft white sand - the longest flat stretch, to seduce every step you take. The resort is huge with so much space that you will not feel cramped. The bedrooms are cosy, comfortable, air conditioned and perfect for the night ; most of the time you will be on the beach beds. Fresh towels, linen , daily night bed turnovers , mosquito nets , soft pillows and a nice mattress, welcome you to snooze away. The pool is inviting too and cools you down ; a bar serving cocktails as you sit on the water stools. The food is a winner as each night you will taste different soups with tasty freshly baked rolls. The salads are simply delicious. The fruits are colourful and the tropical freshness pops in your mouth. The main courses have something for every taste. Fine Indian cuisine to Italian to local Swahili dishes. The chefs are open to your requests and will make you feel at home. The afternoon tea, cakes and pancakes are yummy. The gardens of the resort are beautiful with frangipani of unique colours all over. Coconut Palm Trees and the sea breeze whisper beautiful melodies of calmness. A truly heavenly Devine ambience. The staff are very friendly and Hakuna Matata policy applies. There is vibrant entertainment from the in-house animation team too. The wi fi works everywhere and in the bedroom too. Whether on honeymoon, or family vacation or solo, you will be have a great time. I certainly had the vacation i wanted and value for my money. You will not want to leave the hotel grounds but if need be , tuk tuk rides are cheap to the local supermarket. The beach boys do try to sell you coconuts , curios or boat rides; they are generally safe but if you feel you need your privacy, just say a polite asante sana and they will move on. The hotel security is good and only hotel residents / guests are permitted on the grounds. This review is based on my experience and my wonderful stay. Do not think twice if you love the sun sand and sea and want to find heaven on earth, then this is the beach vacation and resort to visit.... absolutely loved my 12 days! Coming back again!
