Reviews for The Ritz-Carlton, Dubai
Have visited Dubai before , but never experienced such excellent service. This hotel has everything you could need on a holiday. Club Lounge a great spot to spend time with good food presentations throughout the day . Great private beach area where the staff cannot do enough for you. Thanks to everyone. We will be back !!!

its 5 star throughout, but best features are the location, pool /gardens, good restaurants and service. Best of all are the staff, incredibly friendly and professional. We had a great family break, the first for our 1yr old grandson, it won't get better than this hotel. My wife and I will definitely return because the adult pool and facilities also looked great, and the location is perfect.

Stayed in the Hotel in February for 5 nights. Helpful and friendly staff, good restaurants exept Italian, my son was sick that night..very clean, big rooms. Noise prove until you open the balcony.Convenient location, nice pools and beach area. The only downside was 2 building sites on both sides of the hotel, so it’s noise and dusty probably for another 12 months. Can’t seat by the pool, the only a bit of escape is by the beach. But there you have little plane with skydivers taking off every 5 min.. And another disappointing fact was .. some money were stolen from the wallet in the room and my jewellery from the suitcase. So please lock in all your valuables in the safe. Staff was apologetic, but nothing else. Never expected it to happen in Ritz Carlton and in Dubai.. Otherwise, enjoy your stay

LOCATION/GROUNDS/POOLS. We prefer to stay around the Jumeirah Beach resorts rather than the Palm (too remote). The RC is ideally located for the beach and for shopping/dining at the Marina. The hotel complex is spacious but not too big. The grounds are immaculate. There are plenty comfy sunbeds/parasols around the beach and the various pools (include a paddling pool; activity pool with slides; adult pool with jacuzzi & swim up bar). The adults only pool area was too small and cramped for the demand during our stay - prime beds here (and on the front row on the beach) were ‘reserved’ well before 0830. All the pools are heated and manned by multiple lifeguards. Pool/beach attendants provide ample towels and an ice-box with bottled water, plus complimentary snacks (ice lollies, fruit kebabs, popcorn). The main ‘con’ at this hotel is the noise from both the Sky-dive planes taking off from the runway between the hotel and the Palm and from the building work on a new apartment block next door (this will go on for many months), which makes an afternoon siesta impossible. ROOMS. We opted for a Club Room for the higher floor and full ocean view (be aware that some Club Rooms look out to the sea over the La Baie toilet block/lounge!). Unfortunately, the Club Rooms, along with all the other rooms in the Shorooq Wing, are directly below and overlooked by the adjacent building work. Although somewhat quieter by night, the heavily illuminated building site is still very intrusive when sitting out on the balcony. The noise picks up again soon after 0600 and was loud enough to awaken us (to be fair we are light sleepers). The bathrooms are excellent with separate shower (option of rain shower or side jets) and double vanity unit. The king bedded room with sofa feels spacious, but the room with two queen beds is very cramped. Very clean with comfy beds and good air-con. The rooms would benefit from a proper dressing table. Whilst we did have to report several issues with our rooms (incorrect bed configuration; electric curtains wouldn’t close; unable to access room due to flat battery on key mechanism) these were all resolved quickly. On most on-line booking sites, you can reserve either a ‘double’ or a ‘twin’ room but it is not clear that the hotel considers bed configuration to be ‘on request subject to availability at check-in’. Despite our booking confirmation for a double room, which we followed up via several emails to the hotel well in advance of our arrival, we were not allocated the required configuration. Luckily, we were able to change rooms the next day. Other reviews suggest this is a regular issue and this will probably deter us from returning. DINING. Our Club Room gave us access to the Club Lounge which offers continuous and varied light hot and cold food from 0700-1100 and 1200-2200. The selection and quality of the club food offerings are typical of the RC. If you are a light eater and don’t expect Michelin standard fayre, you need not eat elsewhere. We opted for half board to mix things up a little. There is a good selection of restaurants with various cuisines on offer (Italian, Arabic, Asian, grill) and only the Palm Grill is excluded from half-board although some menu items at other restaurants carry a supplement. We really enjoyed our experiences at Splendido, Blue Jade and La Baie but were disappointed by Amaseena (see separate reviews). There is a high staff to guest ratio and the customer service was outstanding. Whilst EVERY single member of staff was friendly, professional, attentive and helpful, we would particularly like to mention Mika, Albert, Kisuule, Indrajit, Silvester, Rosa & Annatta who made every lounge experience an absolute pleasure, welcoming us by name and always remembering our breakfast preferences and favourite tipples (sorry if we missed anyone out). The farewell gift, personally handed over, was a really lovely gesture which was much appreciated. Juveni worked exceptionally hard and tirelessly to ensure that all guests were welcomed and comfortable by the pool. In Spendido, Maria and Giovanni provided us with one of our best ever dining experiences. I would definitely recommend this hotel provided that bed configuration is not a ‘must have’ and you are not overly concerned with some construction noise.

The hotel had excellent staff and atmosphere. Pool area big, safe & good for kids and clean own hotel beach. Much better for families than tower hotels. Food and breakfast very tasty. A bunch of good restarants in the hotel area. Service is much more than 5 star. Location is excellent. Silent and good rooms. Hotel gym way better than average. Special thanks goes to excellent and customer oriented staff: Om Prasad, Anwar, Sanjay, housekeeping, lifeguards, hotel drivers and Giovanni/Splendido for perfect Italian food experience. We will meet again!
