The Ritz-Carlton, Dubai

We absolutely love this hotel!! The service and the staff, they call them Ladies and Gentlemen are exceptional! We had a beautiful ocean view suite with Club Lounge access. The room was clean, luxurious, spacious and comfortable. Housekeeping (Vijay, Dino & Santa) were so helpful to my needs, I loved the bed decorations and towel animals that they created. The Half Board Dine Around is a great scheme which we like, meaning you can eat at a large choice of restaurants. The Ritz has several beautiful restaurants which we have enjoyed, plus you can also go to other nearby Marriott properties for dinner. The good thing about the Ritz is that you are in the hub-bub of JBR and the marina, but the Ritz has the largest section of private beach on JBR (400m I believe). So, it has never felt crowded and busy to me, but if you walk 30 mins up to The Address Hotel, oh dear, it is awfully crowded up there. And the Ritz Security keeps an eye on the Ritz section. One of the best things about the hotel is the Club Lounge, we have visited the hotel previously and we love seeing many of the same staff, warmly welcoming us back. We adore Albert, Sylvester, Darwin and Mamta. The food is delicious in the Lounge and the chefs are helpful if you have any special requests. It is also one of the best Club Lounges we have been to in Dubai. Brian, the Assistant Club Lounge Manager is amazing, he couldn’t do enough to assist us. The Concierge desk is also great, Mil gives great advice, info and helps with our restaurant bookings and Dine Around Vouchers. I love it that you often find one of the management team available in the Reception area, they make you feel so welcome and have time for their guests, Robert and Jeroen are brilliant and really made our holiday special. We very much hope to return.

I recently stayed at The Ritz-Carlton in JBR, and while the property is beautiful, the experience was far from quiet or relaxing. If you’re looking for a peaceful getaway, this is not the right place. Throughout the day, the constant sound of the Skydive Dubai planes/ engines was very disturbing. It’s not just occasional noise, it’s frequent from morning until sunset. Mixed with the loud music from the FIVE Hotel’s ongoing parties carrying across the area, it becomes difficult to truly relax and enjoy the resort. The hotel itself is lovely, and the staff are great, but the restaurants can definitely be better. If you’re bothered by engine noise or loud party music throughout the day, then this hotel is not advisable.

Our stay in the Ritz Carlton in Dubai was in a Club Room which was spotless and the staff provided a faultless service. The hotel had a superb choice of top quality restaurants and the food was fantastic with Blue Jade being one of our favourites ! The Club Lounge facility itself was homely and relaxing, the service from all the members of staff there was first class with a special mention to Club manager Brian who also sorted out a late checkout for us and bar manager Sylvester and his excellent team. We will certainly return here for another holiday.

Excellent hotel with great service and facilities. Staff extremely helpful. Food is at a very high standard and plenty of choice.
