The Fitzwilliam Hotel Dublin

It's rare that I write a view after a hotel stay, but I felt compelled to after staying in the Fitzwilliam Hotel. My partner and I were here for an overnight for her 30th Birthday and the experience was nothing short of amazing. We regularly visit the Shelbourne as it is also on the green, however this time I chose to try the Fitzwilliam as I had wanted to for a long time. I emailed ahead notifying staff about my partners birthday and Elena kindly accommodated us. When we checked in, reception knew all about my partners birthday and invited us to the lounge where we were treated to a complimentary drink. The lounge is such a lovely place to sit with beautiful decor and friendly staff. When our room was ready, we were given our keys and instructed where it was. To our surprise the hotel had upgraded us to a park view (the view was amazing, especially with the seating beside it to people watch out the window!), superior King room. The room was immaculate, beautiful, comfortable and smelt otherworldly (I'm not sure what the scent was but I want it in my house!). We couldn't get over the fact that breakfast ran till 12 on a Sunday. It meant we could sleep in (in their amazingly comfortable beds) and then have breakfast a little bit later than normal. The food was of really high quality (the white pudding was insane!) and again, the staff were so friendly, asking us how are stay was, what our plans for the day were etc. The service from the staff is probably one of the best I've had in a hotel. In other hotels we've stayed in the area, you are some times made felt not important, or not as important as others. Plus, we've mentioned birthdays etc. to other hotels before and they've done nothing to make the stay special. The Fitzwilliam and the team there made my partner's birthday truly memorable and I am very appreciative for that! Thank you again, we will be back soon! :)

Can't say enough about the room comfort (newly-renovated, great A/C during a heat wave), the service (concierge, check-in, bar), and the location (walkable, tram line, St Stephen's Green)! We'd stay here every time - felt very personalized, homey and despite it's central location...QUIET. Thanks to all the staff for creating such a special experience!

We stayed one weekend. The hotels tops are that it is situated just off Grafton Street just in walking distance to where you want to go, its car park with complimentary parking, a well sorted breakfast and nice, clean rooming. However our rooms air conditioning was not to be switched off. It was turning itself on and off all night, making sounds off water dripping as well as ventilation noise. The reception promised mechanics to come but there were none whilst we were waiting and no explanation why is wasn‘t repaired. Or the offer to change rooms which we would have done happily. To us this was a major draw back regarding the price of the hotel.

Beautiful hotel with incredibly friendly staff in a tremendous location. Would highly recommend,and would go back to stay there myself. The breakfast is a real highlight.

Fantastic experience. Friendly and knowledgeable staff. Extremely helpful. VERY CLEAN and I am very particular. Everything we needed was accommodated. I believe it was the general manager - was always there and always available and took care of a couple of issues for me that were not related to the hotel - helped me cancel some restaurant reservations we had made previously, helped with luggage and transportation.
