A well kept and nice resort Service was good and there were several pools to choose from The best part was the salt water lagoon Nice room and good service in the outside facilities The only problem was the extremely slow service in the coffee shop

This is not a beach resort. The lagoon is extremely small and the kayaks and paddle boards for rent are allowed only in a tiny lagoon - suitable for younger children not teens. The hours for various things are very odd - the tennis pro shops closes at 5pm. The concierge opens at 11am - plan your day the night before! The snack shop at the Marina closes at 2:30pm and you can't even buy bread at the convenience store - you can buy a lot of beer and wine, but not much else! The villa we stayed in was so small and not very clean - old rug and old couch. Overall,

One night ended up costing us $740 by the time all their charges had been added. The price you book at will end up being about 1/3 more. The place was overrun, for the price we expected it to be exclusive. It was about as exclusive as Grand Central Station. We won't be going here again and suggest you don't either.

We visited as a family of 4 with two kids aged 5 months and 5. The hotel is beautifully located and the resort itself is fantastic, lots to do for kids, we were there the week before Easter and whilst busy it never felt over crowded. Some of the rooms are a little tired, the first room we were shown had the loudest air conditioning unit I have heard, the hotel were very quick to change the room but I would not like to have stayed there with no option to move. Ocean is a fantastic place to have breakfast, not as great for evening meals as many have commented it really lacks any atmosphere although the food was good. Meals round the pool were poor and you are much better off visiting some of the amazing local places to eat. The resort is expensive especially at the moment as a Brit with the current exchange rates. Overall a beautiful location and good hotel that we will visit again

I've never took to the time to write any review for anything, but I had such an amazing fishing excursion, that I thought it was high time. I'm a 50 something year old mom, who took her 13 year old son to the Keys to swim with the dolphins and also experience some great fishing. We were both novices when it came to fishing. I booked a 1/2 day charter through Hawks Cay Resorts - where we were staying, on "I'm Hooked" fishing charter with captain Judd Jackson. On the morning of the trip, it was raining and the forecast wasn't good. Captain Jackson was amendable either way on taking us out or not. I decided "yes, let's do it," because we were leaving for home the next day and I would have been very disappointed to miss this. On my first cast out, within 10 min, I caught a 100 lb. Tarpon. What a thrill. My son later caught a Barracuda, Black Tipped Shark and a huge Sting Ray. Captain Jackson really made sure we got the most of our trip. The fact that it rained on and off the whole time didn't bother him at all, in fact it was probably why the fish were biting so much. I wanted to have a real fishing experience that's why the smaller boat size appealed to me. I would definitely recommend Captain Judd Jackson - "I'm Hooked" fishing charter next time you're in the keys.
