The highlight of our stay was the breakfast waiter "Wyanne". Wyanne greeted us with a friendly smile and outstanding attention to detail. No surprise that he seemed embarrassed about no bagels or croissants two mornings in a row. I definitely wouldn't call the resort upscale. While the pools and lagoon were beautiful, the rooms were rather plain. We found a clogged sink drain, broken coffee maker, a broken patio door handle and slow room service. This was a special occasion vacation, and we paid premium for full lagoon and ocean views and to be close to my sisters' room within the same building. They ended up staying at the other end of the hotel, overlooking a roof top to the left and some glimpses of the lagoon to the right. Expect to pay extra for everything, like the plain "paper" cup of coffee in the lobby for $6 (remember, our coffee maker in the room wasn't working properly). We were happy to have our last dinner at a great restaurant outside the resort, as both Salt & Ash and Angler & Ale were nothing to brag about. Overall, all four of us felt that Hawks Cay Resort is utterly overrated and not worth the money!

This year was our first visit to the Keys and therefore first time to stay at Hawks Cay. People, please listen, this is a great place to vacation! The service is impeccable and the staff was not just helpful, but truly friendly and wonderful to interact with. We didn't catch names very well, but the lady responsible for our room was lovely in heart and soul as well as the tram driver. Great, great place. And for me, the food the entire week was awesome, top-notch, delicious and I'll certainly come back.

This resort is magnificent. We stayed here for mini-lobster season and it was phenomenal. The room was so big and the bed was very comfy! The staff were so nice to us and it was very easy to launch our boat. Can't wait for the upcoming mini season! We'll definitely be staying here again!
