We were all so excited to visit and stay at Hawks Cay and talked about it for months in anticipation. I was treating the entire family and we were celebrating three milestone birthdays and so I splurged and rented one of the overpriced villas because Hawks Cay was on the bucket list for all of us…………………Boy, were we disappointed. The villa was filthy. It was obvious that the owners did not care about the decor and cleanliness. I was sooooo embarrassed to post pictures when the slider door tract was exposed. It has not been cleaned in years!!!!! I have numerous pictures. The back porch had used, dirty paper towel under the cushions and the table and the chairs still had food particles on them. It has not been cleaned at all. The kitchen was poorly stocked and had not had a deep clean in many many months. The outdated coffee pot brewed lukewarm coffee. There are old dusty fake plants on the counters. Gross. There were zero kitchen towels and we had to use bath towels in the kitchen. The garbage disposal was so stinky and didnt work, so after a careful inspection, the source of the not working issue was a dirty small juice glass that was inside the disposal. It did work after we removed the glass but the odor coming from the disposal was intolerable. Smelled like garbage. Had not been cleaned in a very long time. The traffic sounds from the road were also a major distraction when trying to relax on the porch. The caulk between the tiles also had not had a good scrubbing in a very long time. The top of the refrigerator was caked with a dirty film. The little “bedroom” looked like it was a mudroom at one time and was absolutely unacceptable that they sold this as a THIRD bedroom. It was horrible that anyone would have to sleep in that tiny room that did not have a dresser and the tiny closet was full of vacuum cleaner, etc. and the mattress was a joke. Absolutely unacceptable. Walking on the unmopped floor was disgusting as well. Our feet and socks were black from the floor. The second bedroom upstairs also did not have a dresser and the TV on the wall, had multiple cords just hanging down which was a safety hazard on so many levels. We found a used dirty starbucks cup under one of the beds. The dryer vent was completely full and not the filter screen, it was the actual vent to the outside was so full that it rendered the dryer unusable. Another FIRE HAZARD just as the dangling wires from the TV. Just unacceptable. We went to Angler and Ale and once again we were so excited and ended up not only disappointed but DISGUSTED. The wait staff was horrible. The menus were sticky and stunk so bad like dirty mop water that I used wet wipes from my bag to wipe them down because it was horrible enough that we almost left. Then the waiter was horrible. The food was awful and the entire experience was awful. We will NOT be back and I am going to not only leave a review everywhere I can, I am going to notify the Hawks Cay management and am going to provide pictures.

Jacob was an excellent bartender. We have enjoyed his hospitality and friendliness. The pools are beautiful and clean, would absolutely recommend if you’re looking to unwind and enjoy all of the amenities on site.

Jacob is the best bartender I think I’ve ever had! This man deserves employee of the month time and time again!

This year was our first visit to the Keys and therefore first time to stay at Hawks Cay. People, please listen, this is a great place to vacation! The service is impeccable and the staff was not just helpful, but truly friendly and wonderful to interact with. We didn't catch names very well, but the lady responsible for our room was lovely in heart and soul as well as the tram driver. Great, great place. And for me, the food the entire week was awesome, top-notch, delicious and I'll certainly come back.

This resort is magnificent. We stayed here for mini-lobster season and it was phenomenal. The room was so big and the bed was very comfy! The staff were so nice to us and it was very easy to launch our boat. Can't wait for the upcoming mini season! We'll definitely be staying here again!
