Hawks Cay Resort

We had the pleasure of meeting Bob during our stay, and what started as a simple question turned into one of the most entertaining conversations of the trip. Not only did he answer our question immediately, but he also launched into a series of stories about the Florida Keys that had us completely hooked. At one point I found myself wondering… are these stories actually real? Either way, we didn’t care — they were hilarious, interesting, and made the experience that much better. Bob was friendly, welcoming, and clearly passionate about what he does. He took the time to talk with us, share recommendations, and made us feel like we’d known him for years. It’s rare to meet someone who can turn a quick interaction into a memorable part of your vacation, but Bob did exactly that. Thanks to Bob, our stay was even more enjoyable. We’ll definitely be back — and we might come prepared with more questions just to hear more stories.

It was a pleasure meeting Bob LaCasse during our recent stay. He was extremely friendly and welcoming, and took the time to personally tell us all about the resort and all about the key . He also shared details about a Python Challenge, very interesting guy. Bob’s approachable personality and hands-on management style really stood out. You can tell he genuinely cares about guests having a great time. Thanks to his hospitality, our visit was even more enjoyable. We had a fantastic stay and will definitely be returning.

Had an amazing time, the lagoon was awesome also shout out to Donnie who helped the kiddos with kayaks and paddle boards he was awesome! Overall great time!

The lagoon is a nice change from the chaos of the pool. It’s safe for little kids, and provides a sandy beach for them to play without the ocean waves. Mr. Donnie handles the kayak and paddle boards, he is very kind and courteous to all the families. He remembered us everyday we were out there and went out of his way to make sure my 5yr old son had fun on a kayak. Thanks Donnie for making our vacation extra special.

Positives: We rented a 2 bedroom premium villa. It was on a bay with a little beach and had amazing sunsets. The resort property is beautiful and has amazing water views. My kids loved the lagoon, and the adult only pool was not crowded and a great escape from chaos of family pool. Negatives: Villa was not ready at 4pm check in time, which was a problem because we had groceries in our car. Was told “check in starts at 4…” Once we got into our villa we found sand and hair all over the floor, dirty carpeted stairs with fingernails on them, and no hand soap in any bathrooms. Took me contacting front desk and texting housekeeping number multiple times to finally get the soap delivered 24 hrs later. No one ever came to clean the floors despite my requests-my husband finally cleaned it with a bath towel. After the lack of responsiveness regarding our housekeeping issues I requested to speak to a manager. No one ever contacted me. Overall we still had a nice family vacation but resort definitely has areas for improvement
