The Sanctuary was a very comfortable and spacious home to spend time with the family. For the most part, it was clean and presentable. My only recommendation is for the cleaning staff to mop the floors. It didn't take much for your feet to get dirty if walking barefoot. Private backyard and close proximity to hotel amenities (restaurants, pool and beach) was a plus.

We stayed here for eight days and had a terrific time. We had one of the lanai rooms and looked out over the Tranquility pool - it was well named! Very quiet and calm with a great pool and lovely view across the bay. There are other pools and family friendly entertainments as well but you couldn't hear them where we were so it was very well organised and laid out! We tried the different restaurants in the hotel - all were ok but we enjoyed the breakfasts in Ocean very much. Lots to do in and around the hotel - I used the fitness centre a few times and it was ok but a lot of the equipment didn't really work well and the tv screens had very few channels on them which was a pain (it's very boring on a treadmill when there's nothing to watch!) Room was huge and clean, big comfy bed and good wifi. We like playing tennis and there were lots of courts (although some weren't in great condition) but it was too hot to play for too long (even in the evenings!) Would definitely recommend as a place to go and relax! Not a lot to do in the immediate vicinity but we didn't go to travel around a lot but Key West and other places in easy reach!

We moved here from the Postcard Inn and the difference was huge - the Villas are very well equipped and maintained to a very high standard. We had a sunset villa and it was excellent - near a lovely quiet pool, sitting on the deck watching the sunset with a G&T in hand was a highlight. Not many Iguanas wandering around England so we really enjoyed seeing them in the grounds. The main resort had lots to do, every staff member we encountered was friendly and helpful, S'mores on the beach was a big hit with the children and we experienced American hospitality and customer service at its best. I have no hesitation in recommending it as a destination in the Keys.

My review comes a little late seeing as we are approaching our one year anniversary! I haven't been registered with tripadvisor all that long. But a good review is better late than never! We chose to go to The Keys for our honeymoon, and Hawks Cay was our resort of choice to stay and we couldn't have been happier with that decision. The resort is stunning. The views are spectacular. The room (we were in the main resort) was comfortable and inviting and every inch of that property was immaculate. The staff was helpful and kind always. We had planned to venture off Duck Key to explore other areas while in town but you could go to Hawks Cay and never leave the property at all. There are great restaurants, water sports, a museum, a spa, tennis courts, multiple pools and a lagoon.. and they offer a shuttle that will take you all around the property. I found this resort to be no less impressive than ones I have stayed at in the Caribbean. You will surely still feel you are on that tropical vacation here. We absolutely plan to stay again. Hopefully many times our marriage!

I have stayed here several times and they never disappoints, the rooms are good if you stay in the townhouses they are very good as well as we did this particular time. One freshwater pool and one more beach like saltwater pool is very nice. Food in general is always good, we had a meeting so we used the conference facility and service was top notch. This place is highly recommended and if you like fishing you can book top captain George Campell fishing out of the onsite marina.
