It is before mid night, we are hungry and there is no place, not even a gift/snack shop to purchase anything. When I called for assistance was advised "Pappa Johns delivers until midnight". Really??? Very disappointed in this "resort" and their lack of even the basics of customer service. Going to bed hungry.

Hawks Cay is a wonderful place. Beautiful grounds. Lots to see and do. The magic of Scott Xavier was a great surprise. The guy is amazing! If you want your stress level to go from 100+ to 0 ... This is your place!

We booked a room with bunkbed and king for our family for two nights. We did book it last minute so understand the lack of view. Hawks Cay was perfect...multiple pools, bars, a pirate ship for kids, pottery class, putt putt. We when arrived families were watching Back to the Future on an outdoor screen and swimming in the pool while parents were enjoying beer and wine by the fire place. Unfortunately, the wind was too strong to take a boat out but there were more than enough activities to keep us busy. So far our favorite place in the Keys

We rented a two bedroom townhouse for 7 days. Upon arrival with our two teens and toddler we were not greeted and had to track down where to check in. We were not offered water or really welcomed at all. Our room was not ready although I had requested an early check in so we waited in the lobby with nothing really to do, as you couldn't go anywhere with out the guest bracelets that you don't get until you check in. When our room was ready we were handed keys, rubber bracelets, and a map. There was no one to help with our bags or even show us to the villa. We were however reminded twice to tip everyone every time, from the gentleman that open the lobby doors to the shuttle drivers etc. We were finally off to settle in. I had requested a pack and play for the toddler to sleep in that was not there when we arrived. I called housekeeping and one was delivered within the hour. I had an extra pack and play sheet from home thank goodness as the pack and play was not padded, clean, and did not come with linens. The townhouse was a bit rundown and the bedrooms were not as pictured. The bedrooms and closets were super tiny. All that aside, the views were pretty and we were determined to have a great time. There is absolutely nothing provided in these town homes. We went in to Marathon for dinner and to the local grocery store and bought staples salt and pepper, coffee, coffee filters, tea, hand soap, etc. Yes hand soap. because the tiny bars provided were gross and left a film on your hands. That first night we were all ready for bed after a long day of travel. The beds were... well, they were awful! the mattresses had to be from the 90's, the linens were scratchy, the pillows were very thin and I think possibly older than my teenagers. Basically, there was air conditioning, most lights worked, the views were great. The next day the older two and myself went to the lagoon for some sun while my husband set off to find toddler friendly areas. The daily activities are numerous and we noticed there was a toddler playtime in the rec center. Upon arrival we found there was a $10 charge to play with your own toddler per hour. Not surprisingly there weren't a lot of parents and toddlers playing. Paying to play with your own kid still baffles me. Why not just say we will let your kid rent a few toys for an hour? We found the resort to be really overpriced even for an island and the service was pretty awful. In all fairness it was spring break and they were staffed with college kids who weren't from the area or had much experience. We really enjoyed the different Keys, We spent a day fishing which was the highlight. We will be back to Duck Key. We wont stay here again though. .

Our recent stay was such a let down. None of the employees seemed to know anything as far as activities, and/ or generally were not helpful. The activities were extremely disorganized.. if they happened at all. Some of the small kids activities even cost money.. they don't tell you this until you get there. The food was horrible, we were served old fish (you could smell the foul scent before it even hit the table, and the fish was grey). No one cared or was helpful. No sign of a manager. $100 meal not consumed by anyone. We thought for the price of the room there would be some decent food, and there wasn't. I would suggest bringing in your own sandwiches or something. The kids enjoyed the pirate ship pool, and playing miniature golf. Was just hoping for a better situation for the price.
