We arrived to check in but our room wasn't ready and we were given a free drink in the bar while we waited. Looked like a common problem. Also some items were missing from our room, e.g. robes, which were brought to the room when we asked but it was hardly service with a smile. Looked like there wasn't enough staff on duty. This made us a bit nervous about eating in the restaurant, but the food and service couldn't be faulted and we enjoyed our meal.

My wife and I visited to celebrate our wedding Anniversary, We had a great room with outstanding views of Loch Lomond, Great meals, Great walks, Great Spa and great golf, The porters who operate the valet parking and run the shuttle bus to and from the spa could not be more helpful, I asked for the Hotel to arrange flowers for our room as a gift for my wife, They provided exactly what I requested and at a very reasonable price, The Grill restaurant was very good, Martin Wisharts restaurant in the Hotel was excellent Michelin star dining. Although at the top end of the market it is well worth a visit just for the views alone, Will we be returning, Definatley.

The hotel it's self was lovely and the location was beautiful. Staff were friendly and welcoming. The only issue I had was with the room doors when people shut them they seemed to make an awful bang and it can be rather tiring when you get woken up suddenly at least 3 to 4 times a night in the wee early hours of the morning. I know the room doors are all fire doors but they are rather louder than most hotels I have been in or perhaps I just had load neighbours .

Fabulous over -night stay for a wedding -We had a special rate for the wedding so didn't get a view but that didn't matter at all as it wasn't about that. Great new bar, lovely food, very attentive staff -wish we had stayed longer !! Will definitely be back
