To the Management of Cameron House Hotel. Please can you answer me the following questions. We have just left your "hotel" after what was advertised as a" 5 star luxury getaway"! 1, Why was our room dirty when we arrived? 2, Why (when we called to tell you our room was dirty) were we not offered a different room or somebody sent to clean it? 3, Why were the coffee cups in our room stained? 4, Why did our TV not work? 5, Why did we have to wait 25 minutes for somebody to serve us in the Bar? 6, Why did we have to stand in line for 22 minutes to wait for breakfast? 7, Why were we over charged when we checked out? 8, Who is responsible for "running" this hotel??!!

Twenty mins to check in and again to check out. Forget the dinner option at £35/head. Menu is £49/head!! Food not worth the cost. Service poor. Staff tried their best but seemed short of training. No obvious supervisors to talk to or indeed supervise staff. A great location let down by poor management. Geared up for functions?

SPA was excellent , but had to wait ages for the room (good view) and robes and slippers missing + no shower cap and lights not working properly. Dinner was good but breakfast poor. Excellent location overlooking the loch

Have visited a few times over last few years. Beautiful setting and location. This trip was mothers/Father's Day present from our young children paid from their part time jobs. Lovely person at reception welcomed us to hotel. We then settled in and went to Boat House to watch cup final. We had a couple of drinks then had a nice meal. Had a walk around the lovely grounds. We went for breakfast although my wife said she wasn't feeling well. She then had to leave the table to be sick in the nearest ladies toilets. She then returned to he table to go off again with sickness and diahrea. We returned to the restraunt and reported it to the restraunt manager. She asked us to complete a form with re what/where we ate etc. We were told we could have an extra hour to check out and then came to room with two large bottles of water. My wife slept for almost two hours and then wanted to go home as felt terrible. On check out was asked if enjoyed stay. I just explained that our leisurely planned day at the hotel had been ruined especially on a beautiful sunny day. On return we had no information from the hotel. I phoned after a few days to highlight my disappointment in their follow up. They said it takes 14 days but coincidentally a letter arrived the following day which had obviously been posted on day of my call. 16 days later we received a letter stating they had investigated and no issues with their restraunt. We had breakfast that morning and only difference was my wife had salmon! The letter we received had the wrong name, no apology, no offer of anything for her troubles. I phoned to inform them of this but said was to looking for compensation and said I would not be returning.I was asked for email as if changed mind would be looked after. Not anything 5 star about this stay. Definitely issue with the food eaten by my wife that day in Boathouse.

We have just checked out following a 2 night stay. I just felt I had to feedback on our stay. Can I start by saying the concierge guys were excellent. -on checking in reception did not give us directions to our room or information regards breakfast etc -the room for the cost was on the small side no bigger than a standard hotel room in any good premier inn - we had no hairdryer in our room, although one was brought after a call to reception - after being out for the day we returned to our cleaned room to find the bed very badly made, no fresh water, dirty cups and hot drinks tray nit replenished. Not the standard I expect from 5 star - the shower drain was blocked resulting in it leaking all over the bathroom and toilet area - the drain in toilet area smelt and we had to cover with a towel We ate in the boathouse and grill and both were lovely. The Boathouse being the credit of the hotel. However we ate in the bar one evening. After paying £16 for 2 burgers I had high expectations. No garnish, 6 raw chips and the burger did not live up to those expectations. When I made the waiter aware he apologised but didn't offer to change. I stupidly paid. Also the drinks are a ridiculous cost. We had to ask for drinks when needed despite plenty of staff chatting at the bar. We visited the spa (complimentary due to the hotel payment being taken twice, resulting in much embarrassment and leaving a full trolley in Sainsbury's. Not to mention the waste of my time). The spa was not to standard, maybe I have been spoilt visiting Ribby Hall but as that is not 5 star I didn't think so. The receptionist handed us a towel and robe. And told us the door code. No other information, we wandered and found a sign to the spa experience. No one in attendance. As we were leaving I was sure there were pictures of a roof pool, we did eventually find this and I'm glad we did as it was the only worthy thing in the spa. We did enjoy our stay however after spending a total of £1000 with yourselves I am left a little underwhelmed. Sent from my iPhone
