Cameron House on Loch Lomond

A young lady who works at the Italian restaurant was incredibly rude to us, refusing to serve us without any justification. Over a thousand pounds spent for four of us to stay here for two nights. Deeply disappointed. Management did nothing to compensate. We will never return to this hotel, which is now a shadow of its former self.

We were absolutely delighted with our Loch View Suite (Room 230), which was beautiful, spacious, and extremely comfortable. During our previous stay we were in the Auld Suite, so it was a real pleasure to experience a different suite this time. It felt like a special treat and a lovely change. The balcony was a fantastic added bonus, providing a wonderful private space to relax and take in the surroundings, and it truly enhanced our overall experience. The thoughtful little touches throughout the room made the stay feel extra special — from the pillow mist to the turndown service with lavender bath salts. Those details really do make a difference and are so appreciated. The food throughout our stay was fantastic, and the live music in the tavern was a great addition to the atmosphere. Room service breakfast was delicious and arrived exactly on time, which was much appreciated and made for the perfect start to the day. We have been staying at Cameron House for around 14 years (aside from the period when it was closed for renovations), and it has always been our first choice for celebrating special occasions. The consistently high standards, attention to detail, and warm hospitality are exactly why we continue to return time and time again. Thank you to the entire team for making our stay so memorable. We very much look forward to returning later this year.

From the moment we arrived, we were made to feel truly special. We were greeted with the warmest welcome, our bags were whisked away, and our car parked effortlessly for us. Check-in was smooth and friendly, and we were personally escorted to our room. The room itself was absolutely breathtaking — every detail thoughtfully considered, right down to a delicate pillow mist that felt like the perfect finishing touch. Pure luxury. Dinner in the Grill was outstanding; the food was exceptional and the service faultless. Later, cocktails in the Great Scottish Bar were just as impressive, with a fantastic atmosphere and genuinely friendly, attentive staff. Returning to our room to find the bed beautifully turned down made us feel like VIPs. Every moment felt special. Thank you to the entire team for an unforgettable stay — without doubt, one of the best nights away we’ve ever had.

Disappointed with the leisure centre. Membership options are unclear and staff were frankly unhelpful when trying to get more information. I wouldn’t recommend.

DO NOT LISTEN TO NAYSAYERS. This beautiful hotel is spectacular. Anyone giving a poor review, in my opinion, can't be made happy in any circumstance. It's lovely, accommodating, comfortable, clean, convenient for local restaurants and attractions, and the staff, like Davy, bellhop/concierge are so very helpful. The view from room 172 on the 5th floor cannot be beat!
