We have thankfully just left after spending 2 nights here. Our choices prior to visiting Scotland were Gleneagles or here. We had read the reviews but thought that it could not possibly be that bad!! Sad to say that most of the 1/2 star reviews on here get it spot on. Our room was not cleaned properly?? Our room was not ready at 3 pm?? 2 hours for a basic room service order?? Why did we have to wait in a line for 32 minutes for breakfast?? All in all it falls so far short of a 5 star hotel but charges 5 star prices

Excellent location on the Loch Lomond. The people at the hotel were very kind and friendly. The rooms we got were spacious and comfortable. Many activities for all ages. I wish there was regular transportation to the neighboring villages.

We have stayed here twice and have enjoyed both visits. The bar is a lovely, relaxed setting with nice drinks. Our rooms have always faced out to the front so had a nice view of the loch. We haven't had dinner here but breakfast has been excellent. On our recent stay we went along to the spa at the Carrick, the hotel have a free shuttle that runs which was good and we enjoyed it. The only thing we could pick at was that it was quite difficult to find our room and we ended up wandering up and down long corridors getting lost and got stuck in a stairwell at one point. Other than this would recommend.

We arrive here today and our first view in the room were dirty black socks on the floor and not our hairs on the bed. I was trying to complain to duty Menago but it was hopeless:( he only said I wad offered you cleaning service but you declined. Yes I did. I expect only apologies and kind promise to clean up my room the next day:) You think twice before you choose this hotel because you can be really disappointed by the service!! Sylwia

A quick stoppover for us on a recent trip to the west coast allowed us to spend a night at the Cameron house. It was an absolutely fabulous experience. The hotel, food, staff were all first class. The stay could simply not have been better. We will definitely visit again.
