Our two night stay was marred by a few observations/complaints. Firstly the distance from reception to the room allocated. Had to take 2 lifts and in the morning for breakfast 3 lifts. My husband has a mobility issue. I approached reception for milk in the morning only to be told I needed to the restaurant for it. No offer of I’ll have it sent to your room or wait I’ll get someone to bring milk to you? Not 5star treatment in my opinion. Visited The Tavern and what a disappointment. Ordered 2 glasses of rose wine. Came back and said only had enough for one glass? Pizza was well fired which we commented on no pizza cutter only sharp knife supplied and we had difficulty cutting it. Waste of £20. On arrival home on checking my c/c noticed a retainer of £202 was pending and when phoned for an explanation was told this was a new introduction that had been introduced. Surely this should have been mentioned on arrival? Have stayed twice before and been delighted with everything but not so this time. I can only give praise to the concierge staff and staff in the breakfast room who were 5 star. It’s just a pity our 2 night break wasn’t.

We were given a voucher for afternoon tea when I retired. It took 5 attempts to finally get a booking confirmed. On arrival at the Great Scots Bar we were welcomed and shown a table. When our food eventually arrived the sandwiches had started to dry out, as though they had been prepared an hour earlier. The 2 cups of coffee I had, one was great but the other was dishwater. Overall not the 5-star experience I was expecting from such a ‘supposedly’ premier hotel.

We have stayed at Cameron House on several occasions, including our wedding. Felt I had to leave a review as this place never fails to amaze. We stayed valentines weekend as it’s also our anniversary. From the minute we arrived we felt at ease, some of the amazing staff remembered us from our small wedding. Wonderfully helpful and knowledgeable front of house. Helping with checking in. Our room was a Loch view room, absolutely beautiful room inside and the view!! Arrived later the first night so we had a lovely drink in the Tavern bar. The pool and spa are a must. Our anniversary meal in the Cameron grill took our breath away. Can’t rate this place highly enough. Well worth a visit
