Reviews for Cameron House on Loch Lomond
Unfortunately, Cameron House did not meet our expectations which was very disappointing. When booking our 2 night stay at the hotel we requested to be booked in to the spa for treatments. When we arrived at the spa there was no booking made, although we produced the confirmation email, however they managed to ‘squeeze’ us in the second day. We were also very disappointed with the service at breakfast time because we were left waiting & I had to walk over to a waitress to order coffee. Apart from the steak restaurant, all the other menu’s for dining in the hotel are quite similar so I found food choices limited. Cameron House is a 5* but in comparison to other 5* hotels I’ve stayed, for example Gleneagles, there is no comparison and definitely does not have that 5* standard. It was such a shame because the room was lovely with a great view of the Loch but overall it was such a let down.

Everything at Cameron House was perfect from the minute we arrived. Our room was eligible for an upgrade and we successfully bid for it. The separate seating area was excellent with views across Loch Lomond. The decor and furnishings were worthy of the reputation Cameron House has. The management treated us with a bottle of Prosecco and chocolates to celebrate our birthdays (the reason for the trip). Every member of staff was courteous and best of all, unpretentious. Everyone was treated as if they were the only person there. Thanks to Craig Paton and his fantastic staff for a wonderful break. We’ll be back for our next special occasion.

In a warm atmosphere, the Cameron house is a very nice hotel to stay in near the Loch Lomond with great accomodations. The decor is all about Scotland and makes the journey very unique. The rooms are very comfortable, fitness and spa center well designed and enjoyable to relax, restaurants offer a wide choice of cuisine.
We stayed i a lodge as part of a wedding party. Views are outstanding and the lodges were beautiful :) as part of a bridal party we were very busy and didnt get to explore more of the surroundings but would definitely go back for a relaxing break.
I wanted to give this stay 5 stars, but too many aspects of our stay stopped me from doing that. Yes, the location, the establishment, the relaxed approach and the, certain, discreet operation of the hotel are all 6 stars! What let it down was the attention to detail in the bedroom - facilities must be checked daily as well as a second to none approach to cleanliness! The restaurant serves first class choice though our service, and waiting time were too long - even in a relaxed temperament that was on offer! Please ensure that customer needs are listened to, especially when asked on 2 occasions, and still missed! We should be back, but for the joy of the bill at the end of the stay, I would expect complete customer satisfation.
