In summary, a friendly, relaxed and up-market resort hotel in the fabulous surroundings of Loch Lomond. My wife and I took her parents here to celebrate a special birthday for 2 nights/3 days in April 2017. The hotel is set in extensive grounds on the western shore of Loch Lomond, just 30 minutes or so to the north west of Glasgow. Arriving at the entrance to the hotel, the porters immediately offered help with bags, and to take our car to the car park. A great start and an introduction to a level of helpful and professional service that was displayed by every member of staff we interacted with throughout our stay. We dined in the Cameron Grill on both evenings and every meal was delicious, with service from the waiting staff making it a delightful experience. The breakfast buffet is also served here - there's also a selection of made-to-order items like smoked salmon and scrambled eggs, or eggs Benedict for those who aren't tempted by the buffet. All the usual continental breakfast items are available too. Our rooms had views overlooking Loch Lomond and it was lovely to sit admiring the view from our windows. The wee Loch Lomond Sea Plane was nipping in and out too on the Sunday of our stay - great to watch it taking off and landing on the Loch. We also sampled the Great Scot bar and the Boat House for a drink too. They both serve meals and snacks, but we only had drinks. Both offer lovely surroundings and good service. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and left wondering why we had left it so long to discover this gem just on our doorstep!

Lovely stay here, nice room, helpful staff, good setting. Not pretentious, very clearly a nicely established Hotel with a good clientele. We ate in the Cameron Grill, were looked after, one of the best fillet steaks I've had, surprised to find Malaysian Prawns being served in such a fine looking restaurant but there you go. Room was a little dusty in places, under the bed edges, window sill was dirty inside the room, small factors that did not reduce our enjoyable stay. Recommended to all but be advised to drop your bags off to one of the front of house staff prior to parking as there is a little bit of a walk involved.

Check in wasn't available until an hour after the stated time of 3pm which was a major let down as we had traveled up and had spa appointment booked. I felt the receptionist was very unhelpful and that the check in process was very disorganised! Hotel was lovely! Spa was outstanding. Meal at the boat house was lovely!
