I am sorry to report, that after a very expensive (over-priced) stay over the Christmas period, we were certainly underwhelmed by the lack of attention to detail (room service) and personal touch one would usually expect from a 5 star establishment. Furthermore we unfortunately left some clothing in draws of our room (result of the safe being broken and all the hassle of getting luggage out of the room to coordinate with the valet parking as the car moved off site) and despite several calls and emails to the customer complaint email address about property left in the draws no one has ever bothered to return my calls or email. This is simply astonishing and totally unacceptable from a large hotel group with resources which should be able to cope with the size of the hotel. Needless to say I wont recommend the hotel, or stay here again, we are now down some considerable funds on the contents of our lost items in the draws. Thank you Cameron House!

I love this place I love every bit of it I have been coming to Cameron house for 20 plus years I really cannot begin to tell you how this place has been such a part of our family lives ! But a visit over the new year period turned into putting a very bitter taste in my mouth ! The restaurants are not holding stock of a lot of items no oysters no mussels no caviar ! Ok they are not to everyone’s taste but they are to me and mine ! Got a sharing rib in Steak in the Cameron grill very poor and flavourless then the prawn cocktails looked like they where out of a 1970s film very poorly displayed and again flavourless BUT THE ABSOLUTE WORST THING I HAVE SERN ON NEW YEARS EVER IN THE GREAT SCOTS BAR 2WHOLE TABLES HAD RESERVED ON THEM SLL NIGHT LONG PEOPLE WHERE NOT HAPPY AND HIW ANYONE CAN RESERVE A TABLE IN THIS BAR ON NEW YEARS EVE I AM DISGUSTED SEEING AS NO ONE RVEN COME TO SIT ON THEM TILL 2AM !! The hotels still beautiful but you have to e list your sense of customer care I am disgusted by this honestly

I stayed at the Cameron House Hotel from 29th December to 1st January. I had a basic double room and was pleasantly surprised at how spacious it was. The hotel and room were immaculately clean and the rooms were sound proofed which was really helpful as I was travelling with my dog and she is terrified of fireworks. The grounds of the hotel are extensive and adjacent to Loch Lomond. There was plenty of parking (with EV charging thankfully) and a lovely woodland walk that my dog thoroughly enjoyed. However, it was the staff at the hotel that made my (unexpectedly) solo experience one that I will remember. They were so welcoming, kind and helpful from the time of my arrival and made the trip (with dog and luggage) so much easier than I had anticipated. A special thanks to Sophie on reception for arranging last minute dinner bookings, Leigh, Sam and Thomas (Taverners) for their attentive service (to myself and my dog), Jack (Hotel Manager) for his help and support throughout my trip and Tony for his kindness and taking time out on a very busy New Year's Eve to chat when he noticed I was sitting in the bar alone. Having never travelled purely with my lovely dog Mabel previously, I am now hoping to revisit and would highly recommend this hotel for anyone who loves great service and beautiful scenery on their doorstep!

Despite this hotel being in an exceptional place and with good accommodation facilities, my experience at the hotel was frankly dreadful. I am coeliac which essentially means that if I ingest gluten, there is every possibility I will be very sick. We attended this hotel as part of a wedding party, and at the evening reception, after first asking for clarification that my starter was gluten free (salmon on bread) was assured that this was the case. After two mouthfuls I became very suspicious but this was too late. 30 minutes later I had to retire to my room where I was very sick and spent the night in a fairly dreadful state. After telling the staff what had happened, my wife was informed that staff would get in touch to see how I was (which they did not do). Futhermore, when leaving the hotel, again I was told they would be in touch to see if they could help. There was no contact. Essentially, the staff at Cameron House Hotel do not seem to be trained properly about food allergies, and the management show little sign of caring at all. All in all, a very bad experience and if you are coeliac I would stay anywhere else you can if going to Loch Lomond.
