The resort leaves a lot to be desired. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted by unfriendly staff—unfortunately, this set the tone for the entire stay. “Service with a smile” clearly isn’t part of the culture here. The only pleasant interactions we had were with the bartenders; the rest of the staff came across as consistently rude and indifferent. On our first evening, we checked into a villa that initially appeared nicely appointed. However, when we went to shower, there was no hot water. Maintenance came and showed us how to manually turn on the water heater—something we then had to do every time we wanted hot water, which is unacceptable at a resort of this level. That same night, my daughter discovered her bed had not been changed. It was filled with debris, including red chips, fingernail clippings, and sick on the pillow. As it was late, she ended up sleeping on the sofa. The next morning, when I reported this to staff, there was no apology—just a dismissive “I’ll let housekeeping know.” Food service is extremely slow. Breakfast and lunch routinely took over an hour to receive our food after ordering for very basic items like avocado toast or a burger. If you needed condiments after your food arrived, expect an additional 20-minute wait. The overall condition of the property is old. The pool area and furniture are outdated, and the patio is uneven and sunken in places, creating warm puddles that you walk through by the end of the day. They consistently run out of towels at the pool. Operational issues were frequent. The internet was down for three of the six days we stayed, and was still not working when we left. One morning, there was no running water at all—again, with no apology, just a matter-of-fact acknowledgment from staff. Housekeeping was unreliable, often replacing used towels with dirty ones. Requests for clean towels went unfulfilled. The gym was in particularly unacceptable condition—the area beneath the elliptical was covered in debris, including dead skin and other grime. Overall, the lack of cleanliness, poor maintenance, and consistently unprofessional service made for a very disappointing experience.

Our family just got back from a week long stay at Grand Isle. This was our first time to Grand Isle and Exuma, and we will for sure be back. The resort was perfect for us. The grounds were beautiful. We stayed in a 3 bedroom villa and it was very spacious and had everything we needed. Our kids loved the pool and the beach. The beach is beautiful! Staff was very attentive and kind, and a shout out to Paul for how well he connects and cares for the guests. We have no complaints and look forward to our trip back!

This was or first of many trips here. Everything was perfect and the staff was amazing. We loved our room and the proximity to the pool/beach/gym and Palapa.

The beach is beautiful and very close to boat tour dock. It is right by a beautiful remote beach Cocoplum Beach. Staff was outstanding, however, I would ask about accommodations. Our Villa needed a lot of maintenance from broken safe to towel bars, clogging toilet, etc. Ask specifically about the villa you are staying in. Restaurants were good with one nicer restaurant having excellent food and service. Bedding was stained in one room. I think it was clean but it made us feel like it wasn't. It is remote, so having a car is a must.

My wife and I had a great time at the SeaStar Spa. The Just the 2 of Us massage and facial was the best. Kevica and her partner were excellent.
