Grand Isle is a beautiful resort on a beautiful beach. It also must have the best staff in all of the Bahamas because we were treated so well by every person that worked there. In particular, Robert, was awesome. He always had a big smile and a friendly word and always made sure we had everything we could possibly need. We couldn't have asked for a better person to watch over us. We miss you Robert! The bartenders make excellent drinks, the food is delicious and the service is exceptional. There was always someone on the beach asking if we needed anything. We were in a 2 bedroom 2 1/2 bath townhouse which was extremely spacious and always cleaned as soon as we left in the morning. We rented a car the last two days so we could explore a bit. The first day we drove down to the government docks and "Sugar Daddy" took us over to Chat N' Chill on the water taxi. The food was good and we saw two sharks and 4 stingrays in the water. I actually got to touch one stingray. We had two (strong but good) Goombay Smashes made by a lovely young lady named Bernice. Even the cats there were extremely friendly. The next day we drove down to Santannas Grill Pit and had a delicious lunch. From there we drove to the Tropic of Cancer beach which is NOT to be missed. It's a long drive down from Grand Isle but definitely worth the visit. Absolutely beautiful. I would most definitely recommend the Grand Isle Resort for anyone looking for a beautiful and peaceful vacation.

We stayed over Thanksgiving 2017 with 2 other families for the week and had a wonderful time. From the moment Michael greeted us at the gate to Brendi in reception, they took care of all of our needs. The staff was excellent and helpful and very courteous. Each family had their own villa and each was beautifully decorated and well equipped. The views were spectacular! The grounds were manicured and the golf carts, although not necessary, were fun and made it easy to get around. The food at the Palapa was delicious, although a bit pricey. However, so are cab rides. So if you plan an extended stay...maybe just venture off property just a night or two. There is always something new on the menu each day so you won’t be bored. The water sports staff was great and friendly and there were always kayaks, SUP and pool toys available. The water at the beach at the resort was simply spectacular. It is as clear as can be and the most beautiful turquoise. The color is similar to St Johns or Turks and Caicos. There is a very long and wide beach that you can walk and enjoy it just relax. We truly felt like there were very few guests here, although they were booked. It was great to feel like we had it all to ourselves. Additionally, we ordered groceries to be delivered through a service the hotel recommends...totally worth it. The selection was perfect and you can order items not on the list and they are happy to get it for you. I only had one spa treatment and it was awesome. Well worth it! I recommend this resort and we are looking forward to returning! If you need a sure to have the hotel book Patrick for you.

In general, the resort is nice but a number of problems with unit from a door that won't open to a refrigerator that needed service. Contents of unit are getting old and while not bad, just not what one would expect for the price.

I surprised my husband with a 3 night getaway for his birthday to Grand Isle Resort. And this resort did not disappoint! And every single member of the staff was unbelievable! They must have the best of the best here as everyone genuinely was so polite and helpful! Also, every meal at the Palapa Grille was fantastic! We also both had a facial at the resort spa that was one of the best I ever had. I just can’t say enough about this incredible resort!!! I highly recommend!

My boyfriend and I just returned from Exuma and we are still in the clouds. It exceeded all expectations. The gorgeous Grand Isle Resort was exquisite with great amenities and a super customer-friendly accommodating staff. We were greeted by Paul, the porter, who was awesome. Our beautiful spacious two bedroom villa was equipped with everything you could possibly want. oh, and we loved having our own golf cart to get around on the property. The spa divine. The restaurant had different themes each evening and sometimes with live music. We took advantage of the beach and the fitness center. Our island tour by boat was simply marvelous. We enjoyed the local restaurants and fell in love with the warm people. It was a wonderful vacation and we plan to go again...only next time we plan to stay longer. Five GOLD stars.
