Reviews for Grand Isle Resort & Spa
We are about over half of our trip. It has been the best stay! We are in love with Exuma! The ground and property are gorgeous! The people have been great and I can’t say better thing about them. Especially Paul, he was a great help taking us to get beer and walking us through our villa. For people coming to Exuma bring food or have it delivered from the local place. Rent a car and explore what Exuma has to offer! It is a great island. We will for sure be back again!

We just returned from a week long stay at Grand Isle Resort. We had an amazing time in Exuma and highly recommend this resort. It is the best place to stay on the island. The accommodations are extremely nice and the vibe is very relaxed. Although there were a few things to improve upon this resort makes for a great vacation. Pros: -The accommodations are very nice and luxurious. We stayed in a 2 bedroom oceanfront penthouse (5302). It couldn’t have been any nicer. It was very spacious and clean. The multiple balconies (covered and uncovered) were perfect for morning and night. The kitchen is very well stocked. Housekeeping is prompt and does a really good job. -The grounds are beautiful and very well cared for. The entire property is very clean. -The Staff (front desk, gift shop, groundskeepers, front gate and restaurant) are all very friendly and provide excellent service. -Golf Cart!!! This is a must! The golf cart was a great and fun way to get around the resort. Although it isn’t necessary (the resort is not very big) it is a lot of fun and a great change of pace. The kids will love it! -The pool is clean and maintained the perfect temperature for day and evening swimming. The food and drinks service around the pool was average - not bad and not great. Just adequate. Cons: -The beach. This was a HUGE disappointment. Although it is a beautiful beach, the water is rough and not swimmable. The waves are pretty big and there is a lot of debris that washes in. We prefer a calm swimmable beach. This was anything but that. The beach sits on the open ocean so I suspect what we experienced was typical. We recommend driving to the various beaches in Exuma for a better experience. Coco Palm, Jolly Hall and Tropic of Cancer are not very far away. -Palapa Grill. The restaurant has a limited menu and doesn’t change. We enjoyed all of the salads, soups and seafood dishes however the meat dishes are below average. The burgers and steaks are cooked poorly and seem to be very low quality. Choose salads or seafood and you should be fine. -Junkanoo Night (Thursday). This is a joke!!!! Live Junkanoo music for 10 minutes followed by 75 minutes of a video of 12/26 projected on an 8’ by 10’ screen poolside. The audio and video is laughable. A complete waste of time. The bonfire is also a major disappointment. They advertised marshmallow toasting for the kids but that never happened. Truly an embarrassing night for a resort of this caliber.

First time at bahamas and We stayed for 1 week in this resort. At first we wanted to book another resort but were thrilled to get what we have in the end. The rooms were really surprisingly huge for 2. We’ve got a really great kitchen with almost anything you can think of, nice living room with good view and a great bathroom. Be sure to rent a car if you stay more than 3 days for more food choices around the island. Great housekeeping and service when we reached and leave the resort! Everyone is so friendly here! Except for minor hiccups like our washing machine which failed us but was replaced immediately.

They have a super staff: all of them super nice and willing to take care of you. Kevika, Dia and Margaret (the taxi driver that the hotel arrange for us) were ALL AMAZING and Super nice! The vilas are great, like mini houses with all you need and super comfortable, clean... The views and facilities are also very good: gym is has all the main machines, the pool is nice and in front of a beach. Food could be a bit better since the price is a bit expensive but I would come back anyway. It’s a fantastic place and we enjoyed it so much! Great place for quiet holidays both couples and families.

Spent 4 days in paradise at the Grand Isle resort and could not ask for a better stay! The staff is beyond amazing. They are so very kind and make the guests feel very much at home. The manager is on site visiting with the guests day and night and making sure every attention to detail is completely covered. Lovely pool and sunning area with the restaurant and bar adjacent to the pool. Both very good and lots of fun! Gorgeous beach and golf course as well as a spa and gym on site that really make the stay special. Our villa was beyond exceptional. Looked like a Ritz Carlton both inside and out. Most of the fabrics in our villa were Cowan and Tout and the attention to detail on things like pillow trims and draperies was really well done. Very large kitchen fully stocked with everything you would need. Large living room with 2 large patios made this great for entertaining. really very well done all around!
