The Essex Resort & Spa

The Essex is a nice hotel but over the past year things have gone downhill. Last year the suite was filled with families breaking rules to which the front desk replied “there’s nothing we can do”. But that isn’t really on the staff: This year we were able to stay in the main building, but there were still some issues. First of all, housekeeping had not visited our room, which being Easter I can understand but the problem was that we didn’t have towels. We asked twice in a day and the next day when we asked for towels the front desk attendant told us she “didn’t remember us asking” and said that it was housekeeping’s responsibility. We had to use pool towels. Other than the experience with customer service it’s a nice hotel. The hot tub is very nice, the pool is heated, and everything is very clean. No awful smells or anything of that nature. They offer complementary tea, hot chocolate, and cookies every day. In terms of the rooms themselves some of the outlets our loose, our spigot in the shower was broken, but everything else was very nice. This was a really nice hotel a few years ago I think they just need to improve some parts of it.

Mahagani was attentive, reliable, and personable. She made our experience wonderful!

Had experienced a few years ago and it wasn’t what we were used to. We decided to give it another try-and were pleased with everything. Staff, room, cleanliness, restaurants and special touches made everything perfect. So glad we went back.

Mason was and he helped me with my takeout order and was super kind and respectful. The service way very efficient and the food was delicious!

Absolutely Amazing! Already planning to return in the near future. The food at Junction was outstanding! Wish we had more pictures but we started eating before we thought about it. The ribeye for 2 was just what we needed to balance all the maple syrup tasting during the day 🥰
