Unit 313 is great for 2 couples sharing as they have 2 king-sized bed ensuite and are approx. 1300 sq ft with 26' ceilings. Great open and spacious feel to the condo. Beautifully furnished. This unit has unobstructed views of longs peak from lower and upper levels.

Just got back from our stay at the Stanley, we booked the night ghost tour and decided last minute to stay overnight. The tour was great and informative. The price I paid for the room I least expected some cleanliness. The bathroom was filthy and the chair in our room was covered in stains! I understand this is a very old hotel and they like to keep it as such, but the very least have clean furniture for guests to relax on! The carpet throughout the hallways was dirty and ripped! I had no idea there was no air conditioning which made for quite a restless night. I wish I would have spent the money on a nicer and cleaner hotel!

My room was on the forth floor of this 100 room historic hotel. There is one elevator, or there are stairs. Note: these rooms are NOT air conditioned. My room was warm and stuffy. The ancient window(s) does open which is better than nothing. But, you now hear every noise all night long. Plus, if you want the air from the window, you cannot close the curtain making privacy limited. There is a ceiling fan, and the way my room was situated, I needed to lay backwards on the bed to feel any air movement. One night was particularly breezy. As the wind would blow, the 100 year old door would rattle. This was annoying. Closing he window was not an option so I took a wash cloth and closed the door with the cloth in the jamb to silence the door. In addition to that noise, the 100 year old floors were squeaky. I was still on east coast time, so bed time was about 8-9pm. I had a hard time sleeping due to people walking in the hall. I also felt bad for the folks sleeping below my room as I was up at 4am, walking, and the floor was noisy. The shower was a little odd. The lever rotated completely around. Off was both at 12 o'clock and 6 o'clock. Luke warm was in the middle. The tub is a Jacuzzi though. The bed was not the worst, but it was not as comfortable as one in an HI Express I had recently stayed in. If you want character, stay here. The $250 per night cost was not worth the ambiance. It would be nice if they had a maintenance department that would do some much needed repairs and refurbishing of this historic lodge.

Bartender and wait service were exceptional! Hotel was interesting and our room was beautiful. Although the bar focuses on whiskies, they have a good selection of local craft beer and some house beers too! My favorite was Redrum. Also, the proximity to Rocky Mountain State Park makes for awesome day trips.
