The staff were very friendly and helpful. Gorgeous views out over the sea. The water park can be crowded, but is still a lot of fun. Water taxi to the private island is a plus. Numerous on-site shops. I don't golf, but the golf course looked pretty challenging with the hilly terrain. One thing they could use are stairs from the ground level (water park, marina, shops, etc.) to the lower level of the main building. One of the two funicular lines was out of service while we were there, and even with the shuttle bus, the wait time when the water park closed and water taxi returned were rather long.

El Conquistador has a lot of great attributes and a few drawbacks. Overall, it was the staff who made this vacation so amazing. Stacey, Yomarie, Cesar, and Arianna remembered us each morning at Las Brisas and even tried to help with our Spanish. Julio aided our experience of Puerto Rican food at Cafe Caribe. Jessica in concierge and Marisol at the front desk answered our questions tirelessly the seven days we were there. Our two children loved the experience of going to the island and learning to snorkel from Tony at Aqua Adventures. We are so grateful to all of the staff.

Front desk staff were very kind & serviceable. Welcomed my girls & I with complimentary drinks at the bar, gave us a better room upgrade without having to ask, with a porch. The room and estate was extremely clean. I liked that they had a little bodega in the lobby floor, the drinks and food impeccable.. Not to mention how breathtaking the pool area is.
