Reviews for Las Casitas Village

Great for families …beautiful facilities.

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 3 weeks ago

Lovely villas, accommodating helpful staff, many options for children. La Casitas Village quieter, beautiful infinity pool and all main hotel restaurants and activities a 5 minute golf cart ride, always available. Beautiful beach on their island, accessible with boat reservations. Only disappointment, long waits at most of the restaurants and food not remarkable.

Excellent stay with a beautiful view.

We stayed at Las Casitas in Fajardo for spring break in 2024. This is a beautiful resort with a lot to explore and do. Having all the facilities available from El Conquistador was great and kept our family busy. I didn't get to play the course on-site but it looked amazing. 4 stars for the resort as they weren't fully up on customer service. Some of the staff were just ok. You could tell they didn't have seasoned group and were lacking a few people to take care of all the guest. However, they did their best and we were overall satisfied with the stay. Our room had an ocean view and it was beautiful. The water park was enough to keep our kids busy. We enjoyed walking/exploring around the resort to all the different areas but they will also pick you up with golf carts to get you where you need to go as there is a lot of elevation. Overall, I definitely recommend Las Casitas and wouldn't hesitate to go back. With some improvement to service this place would be outstanding.

Lovely Casitas

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 1 month ago

Las Casitas Village is a cluster of privately owned homes adjacent to the El Conquistador (EC). If you rent a casita through EC you have full access to the EC resort. Our 2-bedroom casita was lovely...full kitchen, patio overlooking the water, well maintained and well suited for our friend trip (or equally, families). The Village itself is quiet -- it has three pools including two beautiful infinity pools and one small restaurant opened limited hours. Getting to the EC is about a 15 walk...they offer golf cart rides - but we found it was faster to walk rather than wait for a pickup. Regarding the El Conquistador Resort itself...not specifically the casitas...we had fun but it's so big it's like walking around a cruise ship. We had to factor in a lot of travel time to get one one place to the other. One of the funiculars down to the marina (location of the water park and boat to their island) was broken creating long waits at certain times. Food was mediocre.

Amazing!

The 3-bedroom casita we stayed in (South side) was absolutely stunning. Open floor plan, amazing views of the ocean. The master bedroom was heavenly. Each bedroom had a bathroom attached. It was perfect for traveling with family. The friendly staff refreshed and cleaned the rooms daily. The infinite pools at the casita village were beautiful. We rented a golf cart which made our trips to the El Conquistador resort fun and convenient. We enjoyed the pools and restaurants at the resort; we went everyday. We highly recommend staying at the Las Casitas Village and will be coming back! If you’re looking for a family friendly resort in Puerto Rico, definitely consider staying in the casita village and you’ll have all the amenities at the resort too!

El Con and Las Casitas Villas pre holiday trip

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 4 months ago

My wife and I toured El Conquistador when we were dating in 2009 and always said we would come back. We finally did, but this time married with two children (11 and 9). I’ve kept up with the property over the last 14 years and have seen multiple ownership changes, the hurricane of 2017, and Covid. My fear was that the resort we visited would be drastically different now. And it is. Only half of the resort rooms are open and they are in the middle of a massive renovation. But don’t let the negative reviews fool you, this resort is still majestic. The grounds are incredible, the people are super friendly, the service was spot on and the food was delicious. We were there Dec 16-20, and other than a local volleyball tournament they were hosting, the place was fairly quiet. I think that will change this week as they open another tower with 100 renovated rooms on Friday. We stayed at Las Casitas villas because of the kids and wanting a full kitchen with separate bedrooms. Las casitas is also in the midst of renovations. But our villa was nicely appointed and we had a balcony overlooking the ocean. We pre ordered groceries and our kitchen was stocked upon arrival. The butlers are amazing and very attentive. We considered renting a golf cart so we could get back and forth to the main resort, but it was unnecessary as the butlers took us everywhere we needed and when we needed it. Most we waited was 5 mins. The Infiniti pool at las casitas might be the most beautiful pool I have ever been in. I can’t overstate how amazing the ocean views are from the resort. They never got old. We spent the first day at the water park and it is a kids dream. Any kid 13 and under will be in heaven and my wife and I enjoyed as well. We spent the whole day there and didn’t get bored. The kids rode the slides repeatedly and had a ball. The second and third full days were spent at Palomino Island. What a treat. Fun boat ride over, beautiful beach with food and drink service. The food was really good, a pleasant surprise. The water is crystal clear, bring your snorkel goggles. And my wife and daughter found a “secret” beach full of seashells and conch shells that were amazing. We ate at the three restaurants and as previous reviews state, Bono is special. Amazing Italian cuisine. We loved eating next to the water at Ballyhoo as well. Brissas had some negative reviews, but I think I know why. It’s a traditional Puerto Rican cuisine. If you don’t like pork, rice, plantains, or fried food, you probably won’t like the restaurant. My wife had a steak and rice dish at Brissas that was the best thing I ate all week, fwiw. I spoke with employees there and confirmed that remodel is expected to be finished by 2025. There is a contract in place for Hyatt to take over the property then. If you want to experience it before it goes back to 750 rooms and corporate ownership, the window is closing. I’m thankful that I trusted my eyes and instincts vs the negative reviews and my family agrees. We will be back for sure.
