Recently moved to Ponte Vedra Beach from NJ and have heard many of my neighbors talking about Amelia Island. I was in need of a quick getaway to mentally reset and chose this hotel. As a Bonvoy member I did get an upgrade from a coastal view to ocean view on a high floor which was a nice surprise. I arrived early and received a phone call when my room was ready. The minute I walked in the smell overwhelmed me. It smelled like a wet dog - just really gross. I flagged down a housekeeper and asked for some air freshener, which they said they didn't have. So, I went to the front desk and asked for some air freshener because the room smelled terrible. They apologized and said they would send someone up right away. Nobody ever came. So - I decided to try to clean at least the hard surface flooring myself with a soapy washcloth. Well, as you can see in the posted pics, the floor was FILTHY. I was seriously grossed out. The housekeepers don't have mops or vacuums so not sure how the rooms are actually cleaned especially when there is carpet. This room (845) is well worn. I was disappointed. However - the rest of the hotel was nice and service was really great! I did use the gym and in the middle of the afternoon it was like a sauna. I know they just redid it so they probably need to tweak a few things (A/C). Overall my visit was good, but cleanliness of the room was a real disappointment. Not at all the caliber expected.

Wish I could give the Ritz more 🌟. I hesitated booking due to negative reviews, but from day one we were enchanted by the very lovely and tasteful premises and room and the EXCELLENT PLUS, warm and friendly service from everyone, underlining everyone. From the smiling and helpful front desk staff to the server at Coast who addressed us by our last name, to the valet attendant who offered water bottles when delivering our car, to the maintenance man who came to repair a bedside lamp (it was just unplugged) who asked if he could do anything else for us. I can’t pick out names to commend because every employee was a superstar. If the Ritz had a difficult time during and after covid, as every hotel had, it has risen above and beyond it. It’s a perfectly run hotel. We had room 542, lovely ocean view. The only negatives are the very cold lobby; we weren’t the only ones complaining about it. And we wish the restaurants, especially Coast, had a more varied menu and maybe daily specials? Check my previous reviews, I am a very honest reviewer. Cannot recommend this hotel enough.

Booked a standard King weekend stay at the Ritz Carlton Amelia Island. Rolled the dice and used 2 suite night awards. Upgrade confirmed and was shocked to realize it was the Presidential Suite; best upgrade ever! This hotel is amazing. Staff is friendly and kind

From greeting to check in and everything in between was amazing! Pool, beach, and dining room service were exceptional! The staff were pleasant and one step ahead. Your valet guys were personable, efficient and humorous. My husband thought he left his glasses in our vehicle and after your guys looked for them in the car they spotted them in his collar. !

This is absolutely the best place for a vacation. The property is extremely clean. The staff could not be any better. The activities they offer are amazing. The food is incredible. I don't have one negative thing to say about this resort. The staff from the second you step foot on property is top notch. I could name a few individuals at this hotel whom are amazing and make families like mine feel so fortunate to know them. Nora has become family over the years of visiting this resort. Nick outside is so great with the kids and has such knowledge and passion for nature. He runs daily shark tooth hunts that my kids would not miss for anything. If you get a chance to visit this is a gem.
