As a former Ritz-Carlton employee (2000–2013), I have a deep appreciation for the standards, values, and commitment to excellence that define The Ritz-Carlton brand. Having spent many years as part of the Ritz-Carlton family, I understand the dedication required to create experiences that feel effortless, personal, and memorable. Our recent stay at The Ritz-Carlton, Amelia Island was exactly that — a beautifully orchestrated experience from beginning to end. Most importantly, it was made possible through the thoughtfulness of my former colleague from The Ritz-Carlton, New Orleans, Scott Berglund, who is now the Director of Meetings and Special Events at The Ritz-Carlton, Amelia Island, a role he has proudly held since 2009. Scott and I share a history with the Ritz-Carlton family, and it was incredibly special to see his continued commitment to the brand’s legacy of excellence. His care in arranging our experience was evident in every detail and reminded us why the Ladies and Gentlemen of Ritz-Carlton are truly what make the brand exceptional. From the moment we arrived, we were enveloped in an experience that was beautifully maintained, thoughtfully curated, and unmistakably Ritz-Carlton. The perfectly manicured grounds, pristine facilities, exceptional food and beverage experiences, and genuine warmth of the Ladies and Gentlemen created exactly what my husband and I needed — a relaxing and restorative escape less than an hour from our home in Jacksonville. I believe Horst Schulze and Simon Cooper would be incredibly proud of the Ladies and Gentlemen at The Ritz-Carlton, Amelia Island. The culture of service excellence, attention to detail, and anticipation of guest needs that they helped establish is clearly alive and thriving at this resort. As someone who had the privilege of working for Ritz-Carlton, it was incredibly rewarding to return as a guest and experience the magic from the other side. We absolutely love everything about The Ritz-Carlton, Amelia Island. Every time we stay here, we’re reminded why this property continues to be one of our favorite luxury hotels. The atmosphere is elegant and relaxing, the grounds are beautiful, and the overall level of service is what you would expect from a Ritz-Carlton. We want to recognize one of their newer employees, Lorena, who truly made our stay memorable. She was absolutely amazing. One of the things we appreciated most was that she spoke excellent English, which allowed us to communicate all of our needs without any difficulty. Unfortunately, we had several interactions with other housekeeping staff members who either spoke only Spanish or very little English, making it extremely difficult to explain simple requests or ask for assistance. At a luxury hotel like The Ritz-Carlton, clear communication with guests should be a priority. Lorena completely changed that experience for us. She was kind, professional, attentive, and genuinely cared about making sure our family was comfortable. She was especially wonderful with our baby girl and went above and beyond to make our room perfect. After a previous misunderstanding caused by the language barrier with another housekeeper, Lorena personally made sure everything was taken care of. She even delivered the items we needed herself. That level of care and personal attention is exactly what defines true Ritz-Carlton hospitality. Thank you to the entire Ritz-Carlton, Amelia Island team for another wonderful vacation, and a very special thank you to Lorena for turning what started as a frustrating situation into an exceptional experience. We can’t wait to return, and we hope to see her again on our next visit.

We stayed here at this oceanfront property on Amelia Island with nicely appointed oceanfront suites and excellent dining options over the 4th of July. Overall: 4.7/5 Room: We had an oceanfront suite in the north tower. About 1050 sq ft, with 1.5 baths, and long balcony that could be accessed from living room or bedroom. Bathroom was very large with a soaking tub. The only minor complaint is while the bathroom itself was very large, the shower itself was very small - you would not want two people in there at once. Dining We drank/ate at oceanfront Coquina restaurant several times. The tacos are excellent, and the staff at the bar are absolutely great. We had dinner at Coast and it was excellent. Filet, scallops and some cocktails were all on point. Derrick was a great server. We ordered room service for breakfast. It was fine, but nothing extraordinary and the order wasn’t entirely correct. Not a big deal but for $80 you kind of hope it’s at least accurate. Lobby bar was fun and servers were absolutely on it. Beach Beach itself is quite nice. Lot of chairs/umbrellas out there. The beach crew is efficient and helpful. The one thing we would politely note is the food and drink service at the beach was quite slow everyday to the point of being non-existent. It happened to us both days and hanging out other random guests, they noted the same thing. I know they are working hard but 30 minutes+ to get a drink isn’t quite what you normally get at other Ritz properties. Location The property itself is lovely with dunes, turtles, beach, pool and sports activities onsite. Staff/service Generally the staff was the usual excellent Ritz level standard. Front desk, lobby bar, coquina and coast all were 5/5. The main room for improvement is the beach service, but may be understaffed given the number of chairs and physical distance to beach bar and coquina to bring food and drink down to beach. We had a couple little hiccups (incorrect room service order, incredibly slow service at beach, etc) that were generally well addressed.

It’s a fantastic experience and definitely worth every penny it costs. Arrived in Ritz Carlton Amelia smoothly and safely. About 35-45 minutes from the airport. Greeted by welcoming reception staff like Shanika . Got a well appointed room with a balcony overlooking the pool and the ocean view. Ushered personally by Kathy , manager of the Executive Club Lounge. She brought us to our room and so gracious to welcome us to the lounge. Whom I met Stephanie , reservation specialist. Thanks to both of you and absolutely delighted our entire stay. You both lead your whole team of the Ladies and Gentleman of the Executive club lounge. Glad to meet Gwyne , Janeen, Lowell , Chase , Celeste , Lawrence, Robert and Amado every presentation were great, and the entire team was very professional and I’m grateful for all your impeccable service. The best thing that I got out of the resort and able to have fun with the free Benz suv for more than 4 hours to visit Ponte Vedra beach. Bellmen like Huy, Lawrence and Bell and more like Sofia. In addition to the most spectacular views of the resort, overlooking the ocean. The beautiful amenities at the Ritz Carlton Amelia were luxurious and comfortable. Attended the wedding of my friend in this amazing place where all guests were ecstatic. The reservation I had with the Michelin guide fine dining restaurant was exceptional. Watched sunrise and sunset. Most enjoyable time was well spent in shopping to a lot of their in house shops. I loved the entire vibes of the resort and definitely recommend this property for all occasions. Really enjoyed seeing all different walks of fashion and food and relaxed atmosphere. I’m glad to stay at this resort Highly impressed Totally recommended for all occasions. Thank you Ritz Carlton in walking the coastline then shopping til we dropped 🤩

We are here as a family for a few days. Great service. Better Ritz Carlton than others we have visited in Florida and worth it. I just want to show the pet policy so no one is confused or deceived. I read other dog reviews on this site. They did not specify as a service dog and that may be my mistake. If you are not certified as a service dog you are pretty much extremely limited. It was a serious point of contention when we discovered this on day three. Even signed up as club level it was “persona non grata”pretty much and it was done in an embarrassing way. I do believe this is a beautiful resort and we have been treated very well and will come back. I just want everyone to see this photo below of their pet policy. . It pretty much tells you that your dog cannot go anywhere almost on the resort unless official certified service, not even ESA is granted way.
