Reviews for The Ritz-Carlton, Amelia Island

Heavenly

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 4 days ago

This hotel is amazing! Exceptional staff, facilities, accommodations and dining. 5 star! A++++! Special kudos to Joanna and Kristi in Guest Relations. They were gracious, informative and generous prior to and during our wedding anniversary stay. The over-and-above diamond tiara award goes to Kaeyler at the front desk. She is THE BEST. Her enthusiasm and sincere desire to deliver an amazing stay radiates. Such a pro! The Ritz Carlton Amelia Island was well beyond our expectations. We shall return.

SPA experience

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 5 days ago

The 50-minute facial was underwhelming. I also added a collagen mask and scalp massage for an additional $100. The “collagen mask” was simply a sheet mask (a $60 sheet mask) that repeatedly slid off my face while the provider attempted a scalp massage. Unfortunately, the scalp massage itself was very minimal—it felt as though oil was applied to my scalp with little actual massage. I’ve had significantly better scalp massages at my hair salon. Given the added services, I expected the overall experience to last longer; however, the appointment remained only 50 minutes. This made it feel as though portions of the facial were either omitted or rushed. Overall, the experience was very disappointing. As a local, I love the hotel and the spa facilities, but the services provided do not meet the standards expected of a five-star hotel. I have received better facials at local spas and chains for less than half of the cost. Unfortunately, I will not be returning to the spa.

Great but not as great as our first visit. Had some issues with the room and spa but Camille you are the Ritz!! Thank U

Arrived Christmas Eve left 1-3-2026 It was very busy worse than summer. Had several massages, a facial, haircut and had some problems but the Spa Mgr., Camille made everything wonderful and special thank you. I wouldn’t go this time of year again. Our room smelled so we bought several candles to try to hide the smell. We had an oceanfront suite, beautiful view but the smell was like stinky feet. Our housekeeper was wonderful Diane she even gave us a candle. Our server, Avery at Tidewater was excellent. We love this place the employees make it special as well as that view. It does need some work and more staff.

Great Stay Near Fernandina Beach!

Having the opportunity to stay at the Ritz-Carlton, Amelia Island during the holiday season was truly special, especially during New Year celebrations. The property caters to families and offers many activities to relax or be active inside. Even though there is no active service in the beach due the winter season, you can still use chairs to sit and stare directly at the ocean, which can be truly relaxing. Staying in Club Level was worth it. For those who have big families, it can be extremely worth it. The Club Lounge offering five different food presentations, plus attention to detail can be priceless during a stay at the Ritz-Carlton. In addition, the direct ocean view rooms in Club Level, with a small balcony, was quite wonderful and relaxing during our stay. A guest room is around 400 stq. ft., and bed, bathrom, and other amenities were more than worth it. I did not get a chance to visit their restaurants, but did get a chance to visit their spa during our entire stay. Jacuzzi, steam room, sauna, relaxation room for men and women, social room, and an outdoor pool and jacuzzi made this stay extra special and relaxing. It was crowded, but overall the qualitfy of service provided by each Lady and Gentleman was top notch. Finally, valet parking is $40 a day. I would recommend this hotel for its location, relaxing ambiance, and attention to detail that is provided by all of its team. I will definitely come back in the near future!

A Ritz Resort Experience

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 1 month ago

An excellent experience. Well-appointed rooms with great views and all the amenities you could possibly need. The property is a bit older but it has been well-maintained. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The restaurants were very good and the location is amazing. Amelia island beach is absolutely stunning: fine white sand, gentle waves, walk for miles... If I have one complaint, it's that there were a lot of kids there, which made our stay less peaceful, but that's not the hotel's fault. They cater to lots of families at that holidays and have everything set up for the kids to enjoy. So, if you're looking for a nice couples retreat, this probably isn't it.
