Riad Fes, Relais & Chateaux in Fes, Morocco

Strategically located just 25 minutes from Fs Airport, the Riad Fs exudes an air of refined serenity amid the bustle of the city. A perfect example of Hispanic-Moorish architecture, the stylish hotel is arranged around four distinct patios. Ornate courtyards ranging from sober baroque to dazzling mosaic patterns and an impressive Fassi lamp flanked by artfully carved stucco arches fuse Andalusian whimsy with age-old Moroccan design. Begin your day on the rooftop terrace with a panoramic view of the Medina with its minarets against blue skies and the gentle green curves of the Atlas Mountains beyond. All 30 rooms are individually decked out in sumptuous textiles and warm-hued wooden furnishings. Filigreed bedside lamps next to traditionally carved or tufted precious cloth headboards reflect meticulous attention to detail, enhanced by must-have modern amenities such as air conditioning, flat-screen satellite televisions, and elegant Tadelakt or Italian Carrara marble bathrooms with plush bathrobes and slippers. The Riad Fs beckons you to relax in lavish oriental style at its Spa by Cinq Mondes. Unwind by the outdoor pool, in the cleansing steam of the Hammam or take that much-needed time-out and book a pampering massage.

Cuisine at the Riad Fs equals the sophistication and exclusivity of its surroundings. Secure a seat on the patio near the reflecting pool at L'Ambre restaurant. Serenaded by the tinkling fountains and soft sounds of traditional music, feast on a modern interpretation of fine Moroccan cuisine such as pastille of pigeon and shrimp tajine. You do not need to leave the hotel in search of a nightcap. Instead, retreat to trendy L'Alcazar Bar located on the Andalusian Patio, which is reminiscent of the Alhambra. For oenophiles, the Riad Fs houses a Wine Bar featuring a comprehensive selection of exquisite Moroccan vintages. If you are looking to take home more than store-bought souvenirs, partake in a Moroccan cooking class hosted by the hotel's chef. Before learning how to assemble a delectable three-course meal, follow your instructor to the town's busy souks to pick the best and freshest ingredients. No matter how you choose to spend your time, each experience is certain to be special at the Riad Fs.

This hotel has an elegant ambiance. It's truly breathtaking. You walk into the narrow medina streets and are immediately wowed by this hidden gem. The property is pristine! The bold colours of fushia and royal blue make you feel like you are in a luxurious palace. The staff is amazing. Our luggage got left behind in Canada at our connection. We landed in Casablanca and came straight to fes. The front desk was extremely helpful in helping us track it down. Anytime we asked them to call the airport or check in to see what the status was they were very prompt. In addition to this they gave us toothpaste/tooth brush and any other toiletries we requested. Mohammed and Junior thank you for all you help with our luggage. We ended to getting our luggage on day 3. Having a gorgeous hotel with superior service helped diffuse the situation with our luggage. This riad location is easy to get and out of. I would highly recommend this place!! Check out the pics below!

I stayed two nights at Riad Fes in June. My room was stunning: both the high ceilings and stained glass arch above the door were breathtaking. The decor is modern and elegant. The lobby is gorgeous. More important than the hotel itself, were the incredibly warm and kind employees. Junior checked me in and treated me like a valued guest throughout my stay. And I was so touched by Awa, the Manager: I struggled with heat illness while there and not only did she call me from her home one evening to check on me, she also packed a container of wet towels on ice for me to take for the road when I checked out. I was moved by the kindness and hospitality I experienced in Morocco in general, and the employees at Riad Fed stood out. I am already trying to determine when I can make another trip back and I will most certainly stay at Riad Fes again.

We had a great stay at riad fes. It is a true 5 star hotel. The room was perfect and very clean. The pool was fantastic and bigger than your typical splash pool in most riads. The food was very good and the entire hotel is just beautiful. Almost all 5 star hotels we visited in Morocco didnt have a fridge in the room, but riad fes was one of 2 that did. If youre in Fes this is the place to stay!

We had a wonderful stay in Fez, a city like no other. Narrow streets open up to beautiful building interiors...none more impressive than Riad Fez. We were given the royal suite which was great and includes a large terrace with sweeping views of the old medina. The staff are uniformly terrific and thank you to Abdu, Salma, Mohammed, and Fatima for being so nice to my family.

Beautiful hotel. The location is great as it it is very close to one of the main gates in to the medina. The highlight is the view from the rooftop bar. It looks out over the medina & is magical. Rooms are a good size. Breakfast is good. Lowlight was dinner. Not a great meal & the restaurant lacks ambience. The hotel is beautiful & the restaurant could be better located to take advantage of the older part of the riad.
