About the Hotel

Strategically located just 25 minutes from Fès Airport, the Riad Fès exudes an air of refined serenity amid the bustle of the city. A perfect example of Hispanic-Moorish architecture, the stylish hotel is arranged around four distinct patios. Ornate courtyards ranging from sober baroque to dazzling mosaic patterns and an impressive Fassi lamp flanked by artfully carved stucco arches fuse Andalusian whimsy with age-old Moroccan design. Begin your day on the rooftop terrace with a panoramic view of the Medina with its minarets against blue skies and the gentle green curves of the Atlas Mountains beyond. All 30 rooms are individually decked out in sumptuous textiles and warm-hued wooden furnishings. Filigreed bedside lamps next to traditionally carved or tufted precious cloth headboards reflect meticulous attention to detail, enhanced by must-have modern amenities such as air conditioning, flat-screen satellite televisions, and elegant Tadelakt or Italian Carrara marble bathrooms with plush bathrobes and slippers. The Riad Fés beckons you to relax in lavish oriental style at its Spa by Cinq Mondes. Unwind by the outdoor pool, in the cleansing steam of the Hammam or take that much-needed time-out and book a pampering massage.

Another Amazing Moroccan Accommodation

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 3 days ago

We did a tour of Morocco. We stayed in many remarkable places. You should read the entire sequence of our reviews. We got amazing service at every accommodation we stayed at in Morocco. Funny thing here. As our driver approached Riad Fez, he called ahead to alert them that we were approaching. The hotel asked how much luggage we had. He told them that we had one backpack and one small bag. The hotel responded, “that is not possible, they are in the Royal Suite.” But our driver assured them that we are unusual guests who travel extraordinarily light. This was the most opulent room we had in Morocco other than Royal Mansour in Marrakech. All the rooms in our suite were huge.

Riad Fest - Exactly where you should stay in Fes

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 2 weeks ago

My wife and I stayed at Riad Fes for two nights during a 10-day trip to Morocco and we wish we would have spent more time there. The room was fantastic, the service was top notch. Everything about this hotel felt relaxing and was of superior quality. The restaurant was terrific for breakfast and dinner, and the rooftop bar has wonderful views. Highly recommend staying here.

Most beautiful hotel in the world

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 2 weeks ago

This is probably one of the most beautiful hotels in the world, the detail of this old palace is mind blowing, the service is excellent, is small, so it has to be booked, months ahead. It made us feel as part of that time of the Medina of Fes, it complements the experience and the times, it does not get any better than this!

"Enchanting Stay at Riad Fez: A Hidden Gem in the Heart of the Medina"

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 4 weeks ago

During our three-day adventure in Marrakech, we had the privilege of staying at La Mamunia, a renowned resort celebrated on Netflix's "Inventing Anna." From there, our journey took us to Fez, a city that held mysteries and excitement for us. With anticipation and a keen desire for an authentic experience, we chose to stay at Riad Fez, a member of Relais & Chateaux. Our arrival in Fez, close to the stroke of midnight, was met with a delightful surprise: the hotel had arranged a complimentary driver for us. The initial moments, involving a drop-off at a parking lot and a walk through a narrow alley led by a hotel staff - Mouad with a wheelbarrow for our suitcases, felt like a scene from "Homeland" — uncertain yet thrilling. However, any unease dissolved the moment we stepped into the Riad and were greeted by Anass, whose warm smile and polished demeanor assured us we had made the right choice. The Riad's beauty was immediately apparent, with its elegant architecture and a secluded room that promised privacy and serenity. Anass and his team, including the incredibly accommodating concierge service, were pivotal in enriching our stay. They adeptly handled our queries, seamlessly arranged dining reservations, and ensured our transportation to various restaurants, some of which included a charming walk escorted by a porter or a convenient pickup service. The personal touches didn't stop there; my husband and I indulged in relaxing massages from Hanau and Raga, both of whom provided exceptional service. Under the watchful eye of General Manager Nicolas Grau, the dedication to excellence was evident. Anass, Anwar, Hiba, Zahra - front desk, Sufein, Hanane, Anour - server at breakfast and the rest of the staff went above and beyond, making every interaction memorable. The rooftop terrace offered breathtaking views, adding to the allure of Riad Fez. Zakaria was really helpful with our bags. Located adjacent to the medina, the Riad’s location was ideal for exploring the heart of Fez. Thanks to Anass's meticulous planning, our exploration was worry-free and thoroughly enjoyable, with special mention to Mariam for her guidance in navigating the intricate maze to the Riad. This hidden gem, once discovered, revealed a sanctuary of peace and luxury. Our departure from Riad Fez was bittersweet, marked by the genuine warmth and professionalism of the staff. Our stay was not just a visit but a journey into the heart of Fez, accentuated by impeccable service and a deep sense of belonging.

Oasis in Fes.

I can’t imagine a better place to stay in Fes…or most anywhere. The Riad is beautiful, clean and very well maintained. The staff, from the moment we walked in the door, were all exceptional. Meals were authentic and delicious and again, the staff was flawless. The rooftop bar has a beautiful view of Fes and people staying elsewhere came for its uniqueness. April is a great time to be there as the days warm and evenings cool. We were there for 4 nights and would highly recommend the Riad.
