About the Hotel

Strategically located just 25 minutes from Fès Airport, the Riad Fès exudes an air of refined serenity amid the bustle of the city. A perfect example of Hispanic-Moorish architecture, the stylish hotel is arranged around four distinct patios. Ornate courtyards ranging from sober baroque to dazzling mosaic patterns and an impressive Fassi lamp flanked by artfully carved stucco arches fuse Andalusian whimsy with age-old Moroccan design. Begin your day on the rooftop terrace with a panoramic view of the Medina with its minarets against blue skies and the gentle green curves of the Atlas Mountains beyond. All 30 rooms are individually decked out in sumptuous textiles and warm-hued wooden furnishings. Filigreed bedside lamps next to traditionally carved or tufted precious cloth headboards reflect meticulous attention to detail, enhanced by must-have modern amenities such as air conditioning, flat-screen satellite televisions, and elegant Tadelakt or Italian Carrara marble bathrooms with plush bathrobes and slippers. The Riad Fés beckons you to relax in lavish oriental style at its Spa by Cinq Mondes. Unwind by the outdoor pool, in the cleansing steam of the Hammam or take that much-needed time-out and book a pampering massage.

Amazing interior. Good hotel in Medina

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 3 days ago

We enjoyed our two night stay at this property. The hotel is well situated to explore the souk within the medina. Returning to the hotel felt like an oasis after all the busyness outside. The rooms are all different. We happened to have a Hamman in our bathroom complete with black olive soap. We had group dinners both nights at the hotel. The first night was Moroccan cuisine and all the food was good. The second night was Italian and we were less impressed with the food Service at the hotel is very good.

A Pleasant Stay in the Heart of the Medina

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 4 weeks ago

This hotel is located in the new Medina, which is quaint, but presents challenges as you can't arrive by car. You need to call the hotel to have staff meet you to assist with luggage, but this is a minor issue. The atmosphere at this hotel is magical, reflecting the Moroccan culture. You are greeted with a beverage of your choice when checking in. The rooms are clean and comfortable, although a bit small. Our room had a large bathtub area, which could have been used for additional room space...this is a minor issue though. The staff is eager to please. There is a rooftop bar at the hotel, which offers great views of the city.

Beyond sublime. An unforgettable splurge

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 4 weeks ago

Fes is a very special place. With the oldest medina and so much history surrounding this sandy colored town, we were charmed by the friendliness of the people. But trying to find your way around can be a tad harrowing particularly when your GPS can't quite locate you. Which is why we loved the sanctuary, solice and extreme beauty of one of the most gorgeously restored hotels in the world. The location was perfect, the rooftop deck was surprisingly higher than most other buildings in town giving a clear 360 degree view of the magical sunset. Very friendly staff and a sumptuous breakfast made for a very restful and enjoyable stay.

Stunning property. Gracious, amazing service.

We were staying at another hotel and dropped in by chance for a drink. Glad we did. Stunning property which is atmospheric through lighting and design and visually attractive with a high end finish. Sitting on the rooftop bar, watching the sunset and listening to the calls to prayer will live long in the memory. The view across the medina is superb. The rooftop team led by Abdul couldn't have been more helpful. Heaters and ponchos are provided when it gets cold. We couldn't remember the way back to our hotel so one of the staff escorted us back. Great service. We returned on the 2nd night for dinner. Good food with a mixed menu of traditional French and Moroccan food. Happy to cater for allergies and to combine individual dishes. We will return.

Fantastic Fes Riad

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 1 month ago

We stayed here for 3 nights while visiting Fes. Anwar and Fatima went above and beyond to help celebrate my birthday. In addition, Anwar and Abdul at the bar were very attentive and made sure we enjoyed the rooftop experience. The restaurant manager (don't have his name) went out of his way each morning to make sure we had what we needed, and guided us through the menu. Our room, and the Riad overall, were spectacular!
