Reviews for Four Seasons Hotel Firenze

Wonderful accommodations with warm service

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 2 days ago

Excellent accommodations combined with warm service contribute to this hotel being among the very best. I thoroughly enjoyed my 4 days at this hotel and rued having to leave to our next destination. Our room was well designed with thoughtful touches like a wireless charging pad, usb a and c charging ports and a tv (while never used) designed right into a mirror, leaving the room much less cluttered. The closet areas were also well designed and lit. Our bathroom was excellent with a soaking tub, walk in shower and private wc. What really began to separate this hotel however is the service. Antonio brought so much joy to breakfast and lunch. Our interactions with him always left us in a better mood than when we started. I wish I could recall all the staff we met with, but a few other notables would be Leon the pool attendant, the front door staff, the bartenders at the pool club and the atrium. Whoever hired and trained the staff here should also be commended for they’ve done an excellent job of assembling a top notch team. I cannot wait to return to this special city and hopefully find my way back to this Four Seasons hotel.

Home away from home

We have been coming to Firenze for the last 25 years and spent a lot of time at the Four Seasons in Firenze. We stay in an apartment close by, but come to the hotel quite often during the July & August time period. We come to the pool, the gym, the restaurants, on a regular basis. If you haven't been there, make a point to stay as it is a spectacular property. The grounds are amazing and the history of hotel goes back to the late 1400's when it was the elegant Palazzo Gherardesca. It became a Four Seasons in 2008 and I can assure you they have preserved all the charm of the Renaissance. It has such obvious beauty but we continue to go back for the wonderful relationships we have forged over the years. It starts with Pasquale Mazza who is just a wonderful human being who has become a dear friend. Pasquale does everything with the "anything is possible" mindset and does it with pleasure. I cannot tell you how much he means to our family! Bravo dear friend and well done once again. Barbara & the concierge team go way above the call of duty. Barbara does everything so effortlessly and always with a smile! She makes sure every request will be taken care so you have no worries. The entire concierge team is amazing!! The Spa team is another extension of excellence. Lucia, you made our time so special as you have done for so many years...I just feel thank you is not enough but Grazie di Coure! Kristina and the entire Spa team are so wonderful to interact with all summer, I want to thank you for everything. The team at the pool...WOW! Another great summer at the piscina! Danielle and his team really did such a wonderful job each day we spent at the pool, I cannot say enough how you made our relaxing time so special. Leon, was a champion and so professional! You really treated my family so well all summer long. Mateo and Dimitri always made sure my daughters had what they needed so I thank you as well. Mario is always so calm and cool every time we are dinning at Al Fresco which is most every day! Thank you my friend Mario. You are the best! The new fish restaurant is superb on the other side of the property and want to thank Antonello and his team for making things special each time we were with you. The bottom line is that the Four Seasons Firenze makes you feel like you are with family and they do it at the highest level! This wonderful paradise is a must stay if you are visiting Florence! Until we see you again. Bravo/Brava ben fatto!! The Gasparello Family!

Our family had an amazing stay at Four Seasons Florence! The property is exquisite and truly breathtaking. The service was exceptional — thank you to the manager and entire staff for their prompt and efficient service. A special mention to Alberto at breakfast, who was simply outstanding! It was a wonderful stay, though far too short. Four Seasons never disappoints — we can’t wait to return! — Imraan Salajee & Family

Great food; disappointing view and service.

The gardens are beautiful but I was not able to walk in them because of the stone pathways. Make sure you get a garden view. We did not book the correct room because our view was awful - a dingy alley. The spa was wonderful. The massage therapist, Valentina, was superb. I had the best breakfasts of my life. All the breakfast servers, especially Connor, were amazing. We were in Florence to visit out granddaughter and wanted to treat her to the excellent breakfast in our favorite restaurant so I made reservations so we could be assured of that room. Unfortunately when we arrived (on time) to breakfast there was no table available for us. Our choices were to sit in the hallway or outdoors ( it was 50 degrees outside). Such a letdown for a breakfast that cost us well over $200. Eventually we were seated in another room by ourselves. It was disappointing as I had heard how wonderful the service was. I think guests staying there for more than a week and eating most of their meals there should be assured a table that they reserved. If one reserves a table it should be there for them. Also although there was minestrone on the room service menu we were unable to ever receive it at the restaurant for dinner. This made no sense to me. We were seldom offered water to go when leaving for an outing which I think was poor. Upon returning home after dinner one night we were instructed (very strongly) to go to the front desk. We just wanted to return to our room but were not allowed to until we finally told them our name and room number. I guess we didn’t look fancy enough? This left a very bad impression on me. In conclusion, although the food was wonderful and the room was huge I could not help but compare it to the JW Marriotts we have stayed at where we are always felt welcome and appreciated. A little too snobbish for my taste. Our next visit to Florence will be at a Marriott property.
