Everything about our stay was just perfect. The hotel grounds are magnificent with manicured lawns and interesting sculptures. Service was superb. Every need was attended to promptly and with a smile. Housekeeping, wait staff, front desk, concierge--all uniformly excellent. The hotel is conveniently located; you can walk anywhere. In summary, a 10+.

oh, where should i start with. first of all, this is my first experience with Four Seasons hotels. i have stayed in dozens of hotels in my life. what i saw in here was exceptional. letteraly everything was super perfect. everyone smiles. you can ask any employee about anything and they would happily answers and guide you. Experience from the moment of parking your car until getting to it after the check out was phenomenal. no question needs to be asked in the check in because you'll get a full explanation all amenities, restaurants and room details. room is being cleaned twice a day. bathroom is walkable and neat. concierge was helpful and he even book us restaurants in Rome. they have also a free comfortable shuttle to the center and if you ladies have lots of shopping bags, you don't have to get back to the hotel. they can deliver it to your room while you keep shopping :).when we were checking out. i suggested to the reception lady that my room was noisy since it is close to the stairs if they can provide more insulation to the walls. she took it serious and the manager came to me apologizing and guess what happened? they waived my cars parking charges which was 150euros. i was extremely impressed cause it was only a suggestion! i loved this hotel and the people there and i decided to try out other Four Seasons hotels just from the amazing experience that i have lived with FS Florence. Thank you guys for surprising us with birthday cake for my wife!

This hotel is one my worst experiences in five stars hotel. They do not deserve as many stars. Upon arrival, at noon, my room was not ready. I made my reservation more than two months before. They found me a room around four pm in their annex, across the garden. It was raining cats and dogs, so we refused. I had to receive a fax the following day. They did not bother to handle it to me , let alone put it my room. By the way, the same happened with my luggage I on recovered in the evening of my arrival. The organisation of the desk is really bad. To pay some much money for such a bad service, is not worth it. If I could have avoided that ....hotel.

The quality of this hotel and staff are top notch. Exquisite details. While extremely professional and friendly, I wish the service had felt a bit more personalized. I had notified the hotel in advance that my mother would be celebrating her birthday as we were leaving Italy and thus I wanted to celebrate during our stay in Florence. We had corresponded ahead of time about having a birthday cake in the room and I had asked them to put her name on it if possible; they said no problem. When we arrived there was no cake...I wasn't worried, I thought maybe they were waiting until some point later. On our last evening (our third evening there), I finally messaged them asking whether it was still possible. They said yes, of course, and a cake was brought to our room after we returned from our day out along with some complimentary prosecco. Unfortunately, my mother was unable to enjoy this as she was sick, which I had mentioned to them in my message and should have been evident since she could only eat pancakes and bananas at the breakfast each morning (when the whole buffet and menu was included in our stay). It's not a big deal...it was still a lovely gesture. But I contrast this with our experience at another luxury hotel in Rome just before, who once they found out she wasn't feeling well went above and beyond to offer to send tea to the room, a doctor, brought her a gift to take with her since she couldn't get out and enjoy the city as much as she would've liked, etc. With service like that you felt it was personalized, attentive and proactive. At the Four Seasons it was impeccable service, but only as requested and not tailored at all to the circumstances. Perhaps if we had been a part of the large private event that was going on (that caused the lobby to be closed off several times during our visit for their events) we would've gotten more personalized attention?
