NH Firenze in Florence - Italy
The NH Firenze hotel is in the Porta al Prato area, close to one of the gates of the ancient Walls of Florence. In front of the hotel is Cascine Park, the city’s biggest green space. And a 20 minute walk, along the Arno River, gets you to the stunning Duomo and the San Lorenzo shopping area.
Our spacious rooms were recently refurbished, giving them all a very modern look. Our Junior Suites offer terraces overlooking Cascine Park, and the Presidential Suite overlooks across the Arno River and the Ponte Vecchio. Enjoy authentic Italian cuisine, with a particular focus on Tuscan specialties, at the hotel restaurant. And, the bar next door is a wonderful spot for after-dinner drinks – your waiter will guide you through the wine list and cocktail menu.

Reviews for NH Firenze
Very convenient Hotel with good service and good location for Firenze sightseeing. We had an excellent stay and I would like to point out the dog friendliness of the hotel. Convenient overnight parking in the public car park.

I ended up extending my stay in Florence and had not hotel booked. I walked into the Lobby and was met by a beautiful, sweet Italian woman who was so helpful. I was sent to my room that wasn't finished being cleaned; but within minutes she met me and apologized. I was then, upgraded to a King Suite overlooking the park for my "inconvenience". I had a nice time in the hotel lobby bar (alone, no one was in there; but I didn't know there was a rooftop until returning home). The whole experience was lovely and I would definitely return. The room was clean, quite and the breakfast was very satisfying.

I can echo CC's recent comments down below and state that it is a good hotel in so many respects. The rooms are clean, tidy and spacious with good facilities. It is close enough to the city to be very convenient, yet away from any noise which might spoil one's sleep. However, I expect that he is disappointed, especially regarding the roof-top terrace. I can most certainly confirm that he is correct when he says the roof-top is often closed even though the weather is good. Apparently it usually only opens June to August and in the evenings only. It would be also be nice if guests could use it in the daytime. Chris appears to be saying that one of the reasons he and his lady chose the NH Firenze was because they were looking forward to the prospect of experiencing the special roof-top ambience. I can understand why he feels somewhat disappointed because of the many photos and very-much-publicised roof-top terrace, because we were too. Sorry, but I have to agree with Chris, but yes I do agree in other respects you have a very nice hotel. You have almost everything right. Thank you for our stay.

A really nice hotel, the room was really big and clean. Location is really close to everywhere. Breakfast buffet are really various of choice. Really happy staying here. Will book here again next time.

This hotel is clean, the staff are friendly, and the location is decent and within walking distance to the city center. However let's be real- to call this place a 4star hotel is an exaggeration. At most this is just a glorified 3star hotel. Upon arriving, there was no porter or anyone to greet us outside the hotel. No one to help us with our luggage up to the room either. The lobby was decent but it reminded me of the 70s in its style and flow. The common area of the hotel such as the hallways are dreadful. You don't get a good feeling being in this hotel- it doesn't feel like you're in Florence. Rather this hotel lacks a soul. There's no charming presence here and it just makes everything feel down. Our room, while it was clean, had a couple of housekeeping issues that were quickly resolved. However the rooms (and the hotel) are in dire need of a renovation. The bed sheets are super scratchy and the towels aren't soft and comfortable. Pretty much, if your simply looking for a roof over your head and a clean room, then you're fine here. If you're expecting something more, look elsewhere.
