Bernini Palace Hotel

Can’t fault our recent 4 night stay at this hotel which is well situated in the old city just behind the Palazzo Vecchio. The service was first class from start to finish with friendly and welcoming staff. Our room on the 5th floor was stunning - the bed was comfortable and the bathroom was a good size with lovely soft towels and quality toiletries. The hotel was formerly a palace and the breakfast room reflects its original use. The food offered at breakfast is varied including plenty of hot and cold, sweet and savoury options with local Tuscan items. We were visiting for my husband’s 65th birthday and we were unexpectedly surprised with a bottle of Prosecco that evening and they couldn’t have made more effort to make it a wonderful holiday to remember. Would highly recommend a stay here and we will definitely stay here if we return to Florence.

A beautiful traditional luxury hotel for a very reasonable price. The whole place is a joy to look at. The room was fabulous. Pristine bathroom. Breakfast is very good and in one of the best breakfast rooms I have ever seen. A free welcome bottle of Chianti is a bonus. Aircon seemed quiet and modern.

Ideal location, a minute’s walk from the Uffizi, very peaceful atmosphere inside (although this may have been because of it being less than half-full), rooms pristine and elegant, great variety of food at breakfast. Too hot to sleep well on first night (impossible to have windows open as too much noise outside) but the heating was subsequently turned down once I pointed the problem out (air-con was apparently not available, presumably that’s saved for the warmer months). Staff very friendly, although being quoted 140 euros by the concierge for him to organise a car from the airport seemed a bit unnecessary - we got a taxi for 28 euros instead!

Another perfect stay at Bernini Palace! From the moment you book your reservation everything is taken care of beautifully - Lorenzo contacted me to see if we needed any assistance & booked our airport transportation. Federica took care of us every morning for breakfast - always ready with our cappuccino & even Prosecco for our special holiday. We can’t wait to book our next trip - the Bernini Palace experience makes visiting the magical city of Florence absolutely wonderful! Grazie Mille!!
