Reviews for Bernini Palace Hotel

Great location, and excellent Staff. Impeccable!

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 3 days ago

My fiancée and I chose to stay at The Bernini Palace Hotel and were very pleased with the entire experience. Not only was the hotel impeccably clean with a very professional staff, it was well appointed and well located to every thing we wanted to see, with the river being only a few blocks away. Lorenzo was amazing, always knowing the best places to go, how to get there, and sometimes able to make a taxi appear on immediate request. The place felt “solid”, like it was built by craftsmen who cared. Breakfast was great, and they are really good at little details… like leaving chocolates on your bed each night. If you’re trying to decide where to stay for your visit to Florence, I’d highly recommend staying at the Bernini Palace Hotel.

Do Yourself a Favor

After multiple requests, the general manager, David, didn't have time to meet with us in person to help resolve a significant issue. Fortunately for you, dear traveler, as he still had the time to send me an email to rate our experience, I will oblige. Here is my advice - stay at the Corte Calzaiuoli Elegant Suites. We canceled our rooms at Bernini Palace for the latter part of our trip and are happy to say the staff and accommodations at Corte Calzaiuoli restored our faith in exceptional customer service! The rooms were beautiful and the nightly rate was less expensive! A win-win after an incredibly unfortunate experience at Bernini Palace Hotel.

Historic gem right in the heart of Florence

The Bernini Palace Hotel is a beautiful and historic gem located right in the heart of Florence. From the moment we stepped into the foyer, we were welcomed by a warm and elegant atmosphere that set the tone for our stay. The service was truly exceptional—we felt genuinely cared for throughout our visit, with staff attentive to every detail. The hotel’s charm lies not only in its history and location but also in the way it makes guests feel at home. If there is one small point to mention, it would be the breakfast, which could have been a bit more refined given the five-star standard. That said, the overall experience was wonderful, and the combination of service, atmosphere, and location makes this hotel excellent value for money. I know for certain that we will be back.

Beautiful hotel in the heart of Florence.

This is a beautiful hotel in the perfect location in Florence. You can walk everywhere. When I booked there was a promotion on the website, if you booked directly you received an upgrade and vouchers. Upon check in staff knew nothing about this, which was a shame, but it was satisfactorily rectified The rooms don’t all have baths, so if you like a bath you might want to double check. The concierge were amazing and recommended some great restaurants. Pre booking is essential. Beds need thicker duvets for winter as it was freezing in the rooms.

A perfect weekend

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 2 weeks ago

We had a three night stay from Saturday to Tuesday in a junior suite looking towards the cathedral. The room was lovely and spacious. The bed was comfy and we sat a couple of times with the windows open listening to opera singers performing in the nearby squares in the evening. Breakfast was a good selection buffet with a la carte options at an additional cost. The bar had a good selection of drinks with an extensive cocktail menu, all reasonable prices for a five star hotel. Staff and service throughout the hotel were exceptional. This is a really well positioned hotel for all the sites and restaurants. My only comment would be that most of the museums are closed on Sundays, except the first Sunday of the month, when they are free.
