Expectations not met entirely
Great location. Beautiful hotel. Room is nice and quiet considering it being in a busy area. Clean. There can be improvement in housekeeping with providing sufficient towels at times. Requests made for ironing shirts were met but with (English) communication difficulties. Breakfast buffet was not very inspiring, it was not quite 5 stars. The staff generally are polite. Need friendlier staff especially in breakfast room. Our car pick up to airport was 15 minutes late with only explanation given but no apologies at the time. We received an email apology and a refund of that car trip afterwards. I can accept that. It is a shame with some negative experiences because the hotel is actually very classically beautiful.

Luxury hotel in excellent location
The Bernini Palace is a luxury hotel perfectly located in the heart of Florence with numerous restaurants and bars in easy walking distance of the hotel. All the main attractions are a short distance from the hotel.The hotel offers a comprehensive buffet breakfast catering to all taste’s with friendly and efficient staff in attendance. The hotel has an excellent bar serving a wide range of drinks and a restaurant offering a fine dining experience.The concierge service is excellent in arranging museum visits and restaurant bookings and is worthwhile contacting before your visit.

Needs some work to live up to 5 star expectations
It is old and I mean old. Dark and depressing. No satellite TV. Rough linens and hard towels. And the staff were not particularly nice. Very disappointed and not up to par for the price we paid for a supposed 5 star hotel. Very very disappointed.

Perfect picturesque hotel, great location, great service!
We were blown away by the top notch, GORGEOUS Bernini palace in the city center. Plenty of shops, historical buildings, and restaurants just STEPS from the door. The concierge was waiting to open the door and greet you at the hotel entrance, and Lorenzo at the front desk welcomed us with a tour of the hotel, gave us a map, answered our questions, made dinner reservations for us for that evening, and made sure we felt very taken care of. The rooms were spacious and clean-very attentive room cleaning/towel and linen swapping. Complimentary water in the room, chocolates on the pillow at turn down service were a great touch! The included breakfast was the best I’ve ever had-everything from eggs, to sausage, cakes, pastries, fruit, cereal, cheeses, meats-all wonderful. It would be a dream to stay here again!
