Reviews for Gallery Hotel Art
Get a room that overlooks the courtyard. It was super quiet there. Comfortable beds, nice spacious bathroom, helpful desk staff. We could easily walk everywhere in the city. You can even read Ferragamo's autobiography in your room before you go to sleep.

We spent two nights at this beautiful property. The location is perfect, just one block from the Ponte Vecchio and withing walking distance of the best museums, attractions and shopping in Florence. The staff was incredibly helpful, they even secured last minute tickets for us to the Uffizi. Rooms were small, but beautifully appointed and immaculately clean. The lobby and public spaces are very chic. We had dinner in the on-site restaurant, Fusion, and had an incredible experience. Great craft cocktails, fun vibe and delicious food. I would certainly recommend and stay again! Bravo Gallery Hotel Art for a job well done.

Hotel is located less than two blocks from the Ponte Vecchio- you can't get more central than that. location, location, location. Quiet respite from the bustle of Florence- quiet rooms with modern furnishings- beautiful.. Warhol exhibit is a bonus- they have some items on loan from a private Gallery Staff is helpful and very accommodating, they went out of their way to make our stay a pleasure.

I had really high hopes for this hotel as it is part of the Ferragamo collection of hotel. However, it failed in every aspect except for location which is literally next to Ponte Vecchio. Here's where it failed: Service: non-existent. Failed on so many levels. I would go as far as saying that one of the front desk staff was just blatantly not helpful (I took a picture of him and will try to upload it to this review at some point and will share the store below). A few mins after we got into our room, the power went out, either for the entire floor or entire building. We weren't sure what happened and called the front desk to find out. We got a very impatient non-answer which basically didn't tell us anything. We opened the door and there were massive confusion on the hallway from guests in other rooms... no one was able to get an update from the hotel. Not great Room itself is nothing to write home about. What I really didn't like is that they didn't even bother giving you a free bottle of water - and that to me, is BASIC amenity. While I don't expect to have it free flow like a 5 star, there should at least be a bottle/person when it comes to 4 stars. (I stayed at another 4 star for work the week before and it was 2 bottles/person/day - and the rate was cheaper than this one by half). When I called front desk to ask if we can drink tap water, the answer I got (from a lady) was "NO! drink from the mini bar, 4 euros/bottle" and she hung up. I ended up walking to the corner gelato place to buy water - 4 Euros for either 6 or 7 bottles? Then on my last day there, we wanted to see if we can change our train ticket to an earlier time. At the front desk, there was only a bellman (slightly older gentlement) and a guy who was wearing a suit jacket and presumably was at a higher position/proper front desk staff. Guy w the suit jacket just pretend he didn't hear anything and left the bellman struggling to understand what we were saying. Bellman didn't have the best English - which is understandably - he struggled to understand and occasionally asked the guy in the suit to help. Guy in suit was able to answer all his questions b/c he heard THE WHOLE CONVERSATION. However, he refused to speak to us directly, continued in Italian and left the bellman to struggle thru the whole episode. When it was all done, we sarcastically said "thanks for your help" to the guy in suit and he put up the biggest fake/insincere smile and said in great English "anytime". (bellman called the train company - told us we weren't able to change the tickets. We logged online later and turned out, we CAN change the tickets. This was a lot of time wasted to accomplish nothing w the front desk). Oh - and their internet connection wasn't always stable. And the room was noisy as you hear everything that was going on outside on the street. All in, I would never stay at this place or any other Ferragamo place again. It wasn't expensive all things considered but it was overpriced for what it delivered (or didn't deliver for that matter).

The price we paid for the room was exorbitant and totally unjustifiable . The only reeedeming features were the comfort of the bed and pillows ,otherwise it seemed as they were resting on their laurels . In a word , disappointing.
