We had the pleasure of staying at this wonderful hotel for 3 nights in May 2026, during a 14 day Italy trip planned and booked by Chris from Destination Masters in Garden Grove, CA. We were met by hotel staff(Michael) upon exiting our taxi. Michael gave us a very warm greeting and immediately attended to our luggage. It was raining that day and he held the umbrella for us as we entered the hotel lobby. We arrived early around 11 am so they were able to get us checked in and held our luggage until the rooms were ready. Michael gave us some welcomed shopping tips as we ventured out to explore Florence on foot. Upon our return at around 1:30, our rooms were ready. We, all four of us got into the smallest elevator up to the 3rd flood. Four passengers, with no luggage is max for this elevator. Our room was spacious and decorated very nicely. The bathroom was elegant and had 2 sinks, a welcomed surprise. Our room had 2 windows which overlooked the alley and other apartments. Not much to see, but we were able to get natural light and the windows could be opened to get some fresh air. The bed was very comfortable and we made daily use of the fabulous in room coffee maker. Housekeeping did a wonderful job keeping our room fresh. The breakfast which was provided had a variety of cold slice meats, cheese, cereal, yogurt, pastries and off course tasty cappuccino upon request. The service was very friendly and attentive. In fact, on our last morning, which happened to fall on my birthday, they presented me with small birthday cake, along with a candle. A very thoughtful and heartfelt gesture. The staff at this hotel, especially Michael made us fell like part of their family. We had a great time in Florence and would highly recommend this hotel. The hotel was in a great location, walking distance to everything, the rooms were very nice and comfortable and the staff was very accommodating.

The location was excellent. It was within walking distance of the Uffizi, Duomo, Ponte Vecchio, etc. The room was clean and a good value. The staff recommended good restaurants to us and twice accompanied us to the restaurant. The daily breakfast was very good. The staff in general was very professional and courteous. I felt very comfortable and safe.

Just spent 2 wonderful nights at the Gallery Hotel Art. It was not my first time here and I come back to this place because it is super comfortable and clean and the staff is always very friendly. Special shout out to Michele, Daniela, and Cristina for making my most recent stay particularly enjoyable! Though the hotel is a stones throw from the Ponte Vecchio, it is located such that it manages somehow to escape the crowds of tourists. It is tucked away on a tiny street and is always quiet. The beds are comfy and their air conditioning is fantastic, especially on the typical hot summer days (and nights) in Florence. I don’t often eat breakfast but Gallery Hotel Art has a wonderful morning spread laid out buffet style. Great espresso too! Also, the hotel serves, as their name implies, as an art gallery and always has some cool contemporary art displayed all throughout the lobby. I’ve stayed at some of Gallery Hotel Art’s sister properties such as the Lungarno apartments and the Portrait Roma and they are also incredible places to stay! However, for good value, I highly recommend Gallery Hotel Art! 😎👏🔥👨🎨

Stylish room with the bed and second bathroom on a mezzanine level. Staff was great. The huge problem is noise. The windows are so poorly insulated you can hear the rain outside — and the cars, mopeds, the drunken tourists walking home at 2am, the street-sweeping machine, the bin trucks at 4am, dogs barking, builders working — everything sounds like it is right there in the room with you.
