We spent 2 nights on Capri, 2 nights in Positano and finally 2 nights in Firenze at this hotel. It was our least favorite of the 3 hotels we stayed at. Firstly location cannot be beaten, at the Ponte Vecchio, near the best shopping and the musea. Also great to explore the quieter Oltrarno area across the river. Staff were overall quite nice but not overly helpful. Breakfast was excellent with great coffee. Now the not so good Room: we stayed in room 605. We really wanted a balcony but in hindsight I wish we had picked a hotel with a better price but bigger room and forgo the balcony. What we got cannot be called a balcony. There was no furniture on it so we could not really use it. it had no privacy and barely a view. I would honestly not book those rooms and pay the extra for the outside space. Room itself was small which we had been told at booking so that was fine. Bed was big and comfy. Bathroom was tiny. Loo behind door which was uncomfortable. When we arrived loo seat was broken. It got fixed next day. Wardrobe and drawers did not close properly Room noisy with church bells Smoke wafted in from smokers on balcony next door. Room was not overly clean with layers of dust on lamps. Hotel itself: the whole hotel, rooms and common areas, needs a refurb. Walls are scuffed, woodwork looks scruffy and carpets are stained. Lampshade in our bedroom for example had some material hanging of it. I think this hotel wants to be quite trendy so they played loud ambient music at breakfast. We asked them to turn it down, it was so loud. Staff: breakfast staff were lovely. Reception staff was ok. When we arrived we asked concierge about Gucci museum who told us it was closed. We went anyhow and it was open. I would not stay at this hotel again. I love the Ferragamo brand but lets keep the beautiful shoes separate from this hotel which I found not classy and not great quality.

A huge thank you for having us! We had a wonderful 2 nights in this hotel. Front office personnel were , warm, welcoming and helpful. They were able to provide great walking tips & gave us directions to drive in before the trip. Well maintained, spacious and pretty guest room with full modern facilities. Breakfast spread was average. This was an excellent and compact building with great thought placed into furnishings and guest comfort .

You can't get any better than the Gallery Hotel Art. First the location...literally just a few steps from the Ponte Vecchio bridge. An easy walk to everything and everywhere. Next the staff...they are wonderful, gracious and professional! They couldn't do enough to provide us with an enjoyable visit. Our flight was a bit delayed so I e-mailed them to let them know and immediately received a response from the rooms manager (Stefano Manca) that our room is waiting for us and not to worry. Upon our arrival, we were personally greeted and brought to our absolutely beautiful room. It was not only spacious and comfortable but beautifully decorated. I have been a guest in many fine European hotels but the Gallery Hotel Art ranks upon the very best. Staying in such a beautiful hotel with a wonderful staff made our trip so much more enjoyable. We will absolutely be back to Florence and plan to make the Gallery Hotel Art our home base once again. Thank you!!

We wanted a special hotel for our 40th wedding anniversary and we weren't disappointed. The hotel is modern and situated a stone's throw from Ponte Vecci. However it is up a side street which is very quiet. You don't feel as if you're near a major tourist attraction. We were contacted before our visit and I stated we were celebrating our anniversary. When we arrived we were upgraded to the penthouse suite which was very spacious with everything we needed for our perfect stay. In addition we had a roof terrace which had the best views overlooking the city, (Room 707) In addition to this we received a bottle of champagne. All the staff at the hotel were friendly and were always helpful when recommending restaurants etc. We would definitely stay here again and would have no hesitation in recommending it to others. Happy hour at the bar is also worth a visit. Thank you to all for making our stay so memorable!
