Hotel Helvetia & Bristol in Florence, Italy
Set in the center of Florence, the fantastic Hotel Helvetia & Bristol is an essential component of the city's magnificent architectural history. This restored building retains a period feel in rooms awash in lush silks, figured-tile flooring and 17th-century Florentine paintings. Visit the Hostaria Bibendum restaurant, where Chef Roberto Cordisco deliciously interprets Tuscan cuisine, while the sweeping windows of the fifth floor suite make guests feel as if the Duomo is right in their own back yard.
When it comes to exploring the city, there is no better place to begin than at this popular gathering place for artists, celebrities and aristocracy. Pay a visit to the renowned Uffizi Gallery, take in Michelangelo's wondrous statue of David, shop on the Via Dei Tornabuoni, and wander picturesque streets that have changed little since the 15th century. Sunsets are a particular delight, especially when paired with a view of the Ponte Vecchio and the Arno River.

Reviews for Hotel Helvetia & Bristol
Had a fab one night stay in The Helveyia Bristol, relaxed bygone charm and impeccable service. I had a classic single which was beautifully furnished if on the small side but the hotel delivered on all fronts.

My daughter and I recently stayed at hotel for 2 nights. Its was a wonderful experience. The room was beautiful with well appointed furnishings and a large luxurious marble bath. The service was elegant, attentive and friendly. English spoken by all. Every person we engaged from the bellman to barman to concierges were all exceptional with service. It was chilly and rainy and the staff put in a fire in the lounge fireplace upon request. The location was perfect right in between Accademia and Ponte Vecchio. I would give this hotel my highest recommendation. thank you.

We loved this hotel for its fabulous location, friendly staff and great food. Our room was sumptuous and quite large for a European hotel. The staff proudly showed us the antique furniture in our room and told us a little of the history of the area. Great breakfast and dinner. Lobby very comfortable- we sank into the sofas and enjoyed an evening drink each night. Only downside was that only one lift working but otherwise the hotel was quite special. ATM across the road and 10 minutes from all major attractions and shopping. Walking distance to the train station. Would return to this hotel.

This is an excellent property with spacious and comfortable rooms, but the standout was nothing was ever too much for the staff who treated my family so well. Its location ticks all the boxes, being central to all the many historical and shopping attractions Florence has to offer. There is one negative, being the late night crowd noise from the Piazza outside, which is beyond the control of hotel management.

This place is in a fabulous location, just a short stroll to the main piazza, duomo and almost everything else. The staff are amazing with nothing too much trouble, from arranging restaurants, giving accurate instructions on where to find a laundromat and the like. Always a smile on entry or exit.
