The Best Hotel Experience We Have Ever Had I travel a lot. My wife and I have been fortunate enough to stay in some truly incredible hotels and I can say without hesitation that our experience at the Rocco Forte Hotel Savoy in Florence was one of the absolute best hotel experiences we have ever had. The hotel itself is beautiful, our room was absolutely fantastic, and the location in the heart of Florence could not be better. But what makes the Savoy extraordinary is the people. I honestly don’t think I have ever experienced this level of genuine hospitality. Everyone we encountered was warm, gracious, funny, engaging, incredibly professional, and just plain NICE. Nothing felt rehearsed or transactional. They made us feel like we were guests in their home rather than customers in a hotel. Vittorio, François, Sotir and Emily deserve special recognition. They were absolutely fantastic and made an already wonderful stay something we will never forget. This trip was especially meaningful because we were in Italy celebrating my wife’s 60th birthday. The staff went so far above and beyond for her. On two separate occasions they surprised us with champagne or wine and a beautiful card wishing her a happy birthday. These weren’t things we asked for or expected—they simply paid attention, cared, and made her feel incredibly special. That is hospitality. There are beautiful luxury hotels everywhere. You can build a gorgeous lobby, create spectacular rooms and offer every amenity imaginable. But you cannot manufacture genuinely wonderful people, and that is what makes the Hotel Savoy so special. We arrived as guests and left feeling like we had made friends. To Vittorio, François, Sotir, Emily and the entire Savoy team: thank you for the kindness you showed my wife and me and for helping make her 60th birthday trip something we will remember for the rest of our lives. Absolutely exceptional. Five stars doesn’t begin to cover it. We will be back.

The suite was spacious and had a beautiful view of the historic Florence. No other hotel has a better location if you’re sightseeing. The service was impeccable and the concierge recommended excellent tour guide and restaurants. The breakfast at Irene was also an excellent way to start the day. I couldn’t have imagined a better location, service, and room quality combination.

We had a wonderful stay at Hotel Savoy with our family. Everything was perfect from beginning to end, but what stood out most was the exceptional service. Every member of the team was friendly, professional, and attentive, making us feel truly welcome throughout our stay. It was a beautiful experience, and we will definitely be back. Highly recommended!

I lOVE this property. It's so luxurious and elegant. Fine linens, beautiful marble and furnishings. The recent renovations are exceptional. The first night is always spent in the suite with Room Service! The Bar Artemisia has such a magical vibe, it feels like you drinking in the renaissance era! Highly recommended for Florence adventure!
