Our party of 3 stayed here for 3 days/2 nights. It is wonderfully located—right by the Duomo. We could walk everywhere—all the museums including the train station with ease. The rooms are large and the service is impeccable. Breakfast is served in your room. For people who want good quality at a good price, this is perfect. You will have to climb a flight of steps to get here...but worth it!

While the hotel was centrally located, the Host was insulting and rude who claimed to not understand English when it suited her convenience!! While the rooms were spacious and nice, the walls between the rooms were thin and there was a fair bit of noise from the bathroom adjoining our room. There were conversations at the entrance which we could clearly hear and there was no regard for guests! There are also 2 sets of steep flight of stairs which was clearly not disclosed at the time the booking was made. My friend and I had requested the Host to help us to bring down the luggage while leaving as the steps were pretty narrow coming down. The host did bring the luggage down and while we were waiting for our taxi to arrive told us to "get out"and stand on the road. Clearly she has no training in hospitality and lacks soft skills. The Hotel is probably suited for someone who has no problem with climbing a steep set of stairs!! While the room was good, we left on a rather bitter note!

No issues with the room itself, however the manager of this B&B was discourteous and appears to lack some fundamental customer service skills. Most basic requests were met with a rude or ambiguous response – e.g. when I had informed her that I would need assistance carrying my luggage down the steep flight of stairs as I had a bad back (lack of a lift facility was not disclosed anywhere on the B&B’s website and I would not have booked to stay there had I been aware of this), she dodged the request without confirming whether assistance would be on hand. A disappointing response to a request that seems simple and not unreasonable. When my friend and I checked out, she barked at us to wait for the taxi outside and slammed the door behind her without so much as a farewell or question about how we found our stay. We were also disturbed in our room various times during our stay, due to overhearing a number of loud arguments she had with others outside our room. Points to note for anyone thinking of staying at this B&B – the walls are thin so you will easily hear noises in surrounding rooms and may be disturbed. Also, do not even think about booking a room there unless you have no problem with carrying luggage up and down steep stairs without a lift. Also, compared to my experience staying in numerous hotels in Europe trips for six years, the customer service shown by the manager is below par.

The room was fine. It was clean and quiet. We enjoyed eating breakfast in our room. The wifi did not work in our room and that was frustrating as we were trying to schedule the next day's activities. It is a tad hard to find because it isn't marked very well. Check in and check out was efficient. They allowed us to leave our bags for a few hours. Reception is up a long flight of stairs. That wasn't a problem for us but it could be for people with large bags &/or limited mobility. Could not beat the location!

Large room, quiet and dark. Great location - the Duomo is right out the door, Academia and Uffizi are within walking distance. The weakness of this hotel is the lack of common space. Your breakfast is delivered to your room each morning because there is no other place to gather. Breakfast was pedestrian and just the minimum. Yippy dog day and night, not friendly either. Staff were not at all helpful or friendly. You felt like you were a bother to them by being there. Did not feel like this was a guest centered establishment. Would not stay again.
