This is my third visit to this wonderful hotel. The facilities are excellent, the rooms state of the art with wonderful plumbing (Jacuzzi shower/tubs, etc) and the hotel is quiet and relaxing. The front desk staff is helpful, professional, and uniformly, a pleasure to deal with. My only recommendations are to improve the quality of WIFI, which occaisonally was spotty, and hook up the high quality exercise machines in the gym to cable input.

Rude, inattentive, disinterested reception and staff. For over $500/night, someone could at least greet you at the door and help get your heavy bag up the stairs. Or open the door - at the very least - so that large luggage doesn't have to fight with the space in a tiny revolving door. The staff couldn't be bothered to look up and greet us when we came in late in the evening and upon arriving and departing, no one offered to help with luggage or send us off. Also, we had work to submit and one evening, there were a number of hours with no internet servince. Not even an apology. In sum, the reception staff is inattentive, rude and unfriendly. Need an upgrade!

the hotel is actually beautiful and the room is lovely and comfortable, but the service in this hotel is appalling. we paid over $500/night. at this price tag, it would be nice if someone would help in getting your heavy bag up the stairs and into the hotel. at the very least, open the door so that people with large luggage don't have to use the tiny revolving door. those at reception were short tempered, inattentive and basically, rude. no one greeted us as we arrived and departed from the hotel, and no one could be bothered to look up when we would come back to the hotel late in the evening. the truth is, i don't need someone to check in on me, but even a 2-star hotel is sure to hire friendly, helpful, courteous staff. i had work to submit and needed an online connection and we spent hours one evening with no internet and not even an apology from the staff. in sum, we found those at reception to be rude, unhelpful and incredibly aloof and inattentive.

I stayed here for two nights. Very nice hotel with comfortable and beautiful room as expected from 5 star and the price tag. Loved the shower, good quality toiletries provided, attending staff (they even offerred to do my post card mail and charge to room), and really anything I expected. The reasons I haven't given them 5 star are: 1- Buffet breakfast was a little bit limited for example no fresh tomato and cucamber or any type of salad, only boiled eggs and scrambled are available. They are happy to do omlette but at extra charge. I have always had it done for me at other hotels even 4 star. 2- I was in a ground level room and got noise waking me up at around 8 AM. Not sure if it was from other rooms coming through patio or cleaners starting their work. It was rather annoying even when I was up as the noise was echoed in the room and no I didn't bring it up with them. It obviously takes your first night stay to find out about it all and if you are staying for 2 nights only, it's not worth the hassle even if tvey offer solution.

This is a very nice stylish place close to the Arno shore and at short walking distance to Ponte Vecchio. My room was quiet looking to a nice backyard and fairly large with an elegant bathroom. Breakfast buffet is good quality but the area is not enough for all the customers and you may not have a table immediately available. Staff there was not fast enough to clean the tables and to feed the buffet with the food. This is an aspect to be improved.
