Really nicely done, everything you need. Quiet. High quality hotel tucked into a sidestreet very close to the river, train station, and everything you need. Just stayed for one night. The main car rental garage is around the corner, we rented a car to and from here for our trip to the tuscan countryside. The hotel also has a parking garage but we did not use it. Walked to the Westin for beautiful views from rooftop bar.

A five star hotel that also makes you feel like you are a member of their family. A very special experience that you can't find in a big corporate 5 star and yet you get all those perks, with personal warmth. Staying here will make being in Florence extra special. I have stayed here over 20 times and brought participants of my creativity workshop here to stay and have our classes here, as well. They have all LOVED the experience. Staff is superb, reliable and truly want to make your experience special. Shelley Berc, Director The Creativity Workshop

Beautiful boutique hotel. Every bit as beautiful as the pictures on the website indicate. You will not be disappointed. I was here on business and got a good rate. Single room was cozy, but had a queen bed. Mattress was firm and supportive without being too hard. Mattress was in excellent condition, without sags or soft spots. Breakfast was included and was well above average for hotel food. Ended up eating dinner at restaurant one night. Food was well prepared and a reasonable price for what you got. Dessert was very good. I would definitely eat here again. Staff was polite, helpful, and spoke and understood English with no problems. In short, I would highly recommend this “Splendid “ hotel, and would definitely return.

Only stayed one night but wish we could have stayed more. The bed was amazing! It was quiet and the staff was very nice. Location is off the beaten path but that is what we wanted, you could still walk everywhere.

My wife and I were honeymooning in Italy and had originally booked just one night at the Hotel Montebello Splendid. After just a few hours in the suite, we decided to cancel our plans to spend the following night in Maremma and instead stay another night at Hotel Montebello Splendid. The staff was friendly and helpful and the room was luxurious, quiet, clean, and seemingly maintained through magic. We loved it!
