Reviews for Plaza Hotel Lucchesi
Plaza Hotel Lucchesi is a beautiful hotel in a stunning city. We shared a comfortable and clean room with our teenage daughter. Was unfortunate that our bar fridge and air-conditioning were not working as it would have been nice to cool down a little from the heat. Breakfast was excellent and enjoyed the coffee and pastries. There's a great roof top bar with fabulous views of Florence. There's also a small rooftop pool. Sounded good but we didn't really find it inviting due to size and amount of people around the bar.

We stayed 4 nights at the Plaza Lucchesi Hotel as part of our anniversary vacation in Italy. The hotel has a good location on the Arno River within easy walking distance of the sights in Florence. The breakfast buffet was very good with a lot of delicious items to choose from. We booked a deluxe room with a balcony overlooking the Arno River. A couple of nights there was a huge party going on at the beach across the river with loud music past 12 midnight. Although it is not the fault of the hotel, it made it difficult to sleep at night. The room itself was clean, but it lacked space in the bathroom to put any items and there were no drawers to use in the room itself. The pros of the hotel were the friendly, helpful staff and the rooftop pool area. The view from the rooftop was amazing and they have a great buffet there in the evening. It was very enjoyable to be there to watch a beautiful sunset over Florence. The weather was very hot when we were there and it was a pleasure to have a pool to cool off and relax after a long day of touring. All in all, a great place to stay and enjoy the wonderful city of Florence.

I took my partner to Florence as part of her birthday celebrations and we stayed at this hotel. The service was excellent, the room was exactly what we needed. It was just a shame we travelled in February meaning we couldn't take advantage of the roof top pool. Having said that, we are planning another trip in 2018 in the summer months and I will make sure we stay there again. It is a 5 minute walk into the city centre close to all the sites. If you get the chance, cross the river Arno (the hotel is situated on it's banks) and take a trip up the hill. It is definitely worth it.
Florence is one of my favorite cities. I decided to splurge on a nicer hotel for my family (2 adults, 2 children) and they had a nice family suite. The room was clean and spacious. The lounge was scented by a local perfumery (Aqua Flor) which my wife and I ended up spending a couple hours at. The breakfast was excellent and included lattes, cappuccinos, etc. The best part is the view. The rooftop pool and bar overlooks the river and the city. Simply beautiful view. The stay was at the end of our vacation so we honestly spent just a lot of time on the room enjoying the scenery as the kids were worn out. The hotel is on the east side of the center of town, so it is a few blocks from the Uffizzi and Gold Bridge. Food in the hotel is a bit more pricey than some of the surrounding restaurants. Excellent service. Excellent beds. Really, one of the nicest places we have had the privilege to stay while traveling.

I just returned from a 6 night stay at the hotel. I was happily surprised by the genuine level of service shown by all staff members. My room was gorgeous high ceilings, moldings galore, comfortable chairs, modern bathroom and fabulous king size bed. I will stay here again and will gladly recommend to others. Long healthy walk to centro, extensive breakfast in a dining room overlooking the Arno. Free newspapers, and 2 computers (mac) and printer for guests to use. Elegant lobby and bar.
