Reviews for Plaza Hotel Lucchesi

Excellent service,great room.

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 2 weeks ago

The service was excellent, if you asked for anything they did it and not two days later like some hotels. ALL the employees were pleasant , cheerful and helpful. We were there for Easter, they left chocolate bunnies in our room. House keeping was exceptional. Our room overlooked the water, it could be noisy at times from main road. The rooftop had excellent views but was not open yet Would definitely come back and even get same room on first floor.

Beautiful hotel, great location!

The Plaza Hotel Lucchesi is wonderful - the location along the river is perfect (easily walkable to most locations in Florence) and the rooms are spacious and well appointed. There were so many great little surprises in the room, which made it fun for our kids. The junior suite was great for a family of four - it was our most spacious room in Italy!

Fantastico

The location was perfect on the Arno. Our rooms were spacious. No in room coffee maker but the complimentary breakfast was excellent. The wait staff at breakfast was so attentive! They had lots of fresh fruit, eggs, charcuterie, and pastries. They even gave us coffee in to go cups. The concierge made our reservations for the Uffizi and Accademia which saved us time.

The hotel wrote me an email uoon review of photos, aplogized i had discomfort waking up to such scenario, an insect Larve - Pupa, informing the Housekeeper did not find anything !and rejected my refund. I find sleeping in dirty sheets and waking up to the larvae of an insect more than *discomfort * and the insinuation i share distruth as per the Housekeeper, who did not see the larvae, as shown to hotel.

Great Hotel with amazing view

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 2 months ago

We just checked out of this fantastic little hotel. We booked the deluxe with balcony with the best view over the Arno river. Check in was smooth and quick. Assigned room was on the fourth floor. The room was simply furnished and cleanly decorated. Bathroom was functional and a decent size for Europe. Rooftop bar was the absolute show stopper for this hotel. It is well done with a good variety of drinks. Table, chairs, couches with a stunning view. We spent every spare minute up on the terrace. Staff were friendly and efficient for the italian standard. We did not eat on the roof top. The only down side to this hotel was the recommendation of the concierge. Sent us to a very touristy restaurant overlooking Duomo. Menu was very average and the "sellers" were everywhere. We did ask for something more local not too touristy. Found our own places after that recommendation. I highly recommend this Hotel and would stay here again.
