Outstanding stay in the heart of Florence We had an exceptional stay at Portrait Firenze in a Deluxe Studio Suite facing the Arno and the Ponte Vecchio. From the very first moment, the experience felt truly five-star. The staff are extraordinary – genuinely warm, extremely attentive, and always ready to help. Their language skills are excellent, making everything effortless and welcoming. The hotel itself is spotless, fresh, and beautifully designed with a modern yet elegant style. Our suite was perfectly thought through, with a smart layout that made it both luxurious and very comfortable, and the view over the Arno and Ponte Vecchio was simply unforgettable. Breakfast deserves a special mention: a fantastic buffet with fresh, high-quality, and exclusive products, all served in a relaxed and refined atmosphere. We also received excellent restaurant recommendations from the team, which turned out to be spot-on and enhanced our overall Florence experience even more. All in all, a completely positive stay and a new entry on our short list of absolute hotel favourites. We will definitely be back.

One of the more refined and caring hotels I have stayed at. Professional and courteous staff like Vladimir and Modou are excellent reflection of the high standards this establishment provides. The view from the room is unmatched in Florence and the level of service is exceptional.

The staff was overboard friendly and accommodating. I give them a 10 for sure. Above and beyond. Best omelete I have ever eaten , great coffee and not sure how they do it but most of the employees called us by name. We were celebrating ouir 50th anniversary so it was a special time and they made it even better

What stood out most was how intentionally the team tailored their service to our children—acknowledging them, engaging them, and making them feel just as valued as the adults. Visiting during Christmas, the hotel went above and beyond to create magic for our family. We arrived to find a beautifully decorated Christmas tree in our room, complete with gifts from Santa for each of our children—each one thoughtfully labeled with their names. Throughout our stay, the kids received daily notes from “Santa’s team,” filled with sweet surprises and activities, including a special ticket from Santa for the carousel at Piazza della Repubblica. These gestures weren’t just charming—they were deeply thoughtful, memorable, and clearly crafted with care. Mornings began with an immaculate breakfast spread, served by impeccably dressed staff who made each day feel special from the start. Perfectly made cappuccinos, beautiful presentation, and an atmosphere that felt both elegant and welcoming set the tone for the day ahead. The hotel’s architecture and design deserve special mention. Portrait Firenze is refined and understated, with interiors that feel timeless yet modern—luxurious without ever being ostentatious. Every detail feels intentional, creating a sense of calm sophistication that perfectly complements the city outside. And that location—truly unbeatable. Our views over the Ponte Vecchio, watching the gentle flow of the Arno, were mesmerizing at all hours of the day. It’s one of those rare places where simply being in the room feels like part of the Florence experience. Dinner at Caffè dell’Oro was another highlight. The space is refined and elegant, and the food exceptional—the best tartare we’ve had in the city. It’s a restaurant that feels perfectly aligned with the hotel itself: polished, thoughtful, and effortlessly excellent. Guest services were flawless. The team was consistently helpful, friendly, and proactive, assisting us seamlessly with transportation bookings and logistics, always with a smile and genuine care. This was our second stay at Portrait Firenze, and our first with young children—and somehow, they outdid themselves. It’s rare to find a hotel that excels so beautifully at luxury travel while being genuinely family-friendly. Portrait Firenze has become our second home in a city we deeply love. We cannot wait to return.
