This was our second stay here and we were impressed as last time with the quality of the hotel and its staff. The location is great for walking to all major tourist attractions and the hotel offer the added advantage of a free drop off service at certain times of the day. The room was very nice and spacious and we had a huge terrace on which to enjoy the evenings or afternoons.

This hotel was perfect. It is a beautiful hotel with no more than a ten min walk from the train station with plenty of restaurants and small grocery stores nearby to pick up items needed. They also have a courtesy car if you are tired of walking and need a ride somewhere nearby. The best part of this hotel was the staff, it was the best service I have ever received at any hotel!

We stayed 5 nights at this beautiful hotel. We were upgraded, room was big with two bathrooms. Staff was very helpful, concierge Paolo managed to get us tickets to the football match at a very short notice. They also arranged us to the next day chianti wine tour even though we asked it late sunday night. Location is great. Less than 10 minutes walk from train station, close to major attractions and still away from noisy tourist area. If you don't like walk try the hotel courtesy car, we found it very convenient. Breakfast is good and you can enjoy it under glassroof terrace with a view to lovely garden and pool.

This was the third time I've stayed at the Villa Medici and each time I've liked it more. The staff is amazing, always helpful and smiling. Rooms are a bit small if you are used to the upgrades that come with Leading Hotels or Amex Platinum but very comfortable and immaculate. The bathroom is large and the shower terrific. Breakfast was always good (try the waffle maker even if you aren't particularly a waffle person) and the dinner we had in the restaurant one night was fantastic. It is a short walk to most of the attractions in Florence, which makes eating gelato a little more guilt free. The value is there. We had a great stay.

We arrived after having a horrible experience in Uptown Palace Hotel in Milan, we checked in, What a difference! Greeted with a smile, was offered the complimentary upgrade, because we were using AMEX Plat . Restaurant service was great, our waiter seemed excited about all the dishes and almost made us want to try them all, very charming. The food was excellent. Concierge was extremely helpful. All in all what a great hotel should be.
