Location is pretty good and room decent. But nothing to brag home about. It was clean and balcony had views of ocean but overall it was just an okay experience. A lot of construction going on and pool was small mostly the birds enjoyed it as bird bath.

We were told well in advance of our trip to Lauderdale that if we arrive early, just call the hotel when we arrived and they would try to accommodate us and if not, we could store our luggage and use the pool. Well we arrived earlier than expected and were told that the room was not available. So we tried to buy time with lunch at the hotel. My guest was generously paying for our stay and also used the valet - they told him that he could park for free for an hour. When we checked again on the room after lunch, the room was not ready; odd because the hotel did not look busy (it was after the Easter season). The pool was being remodeled and not available for 3 days - very disappointing and contrary to what they told me. A manager eventually agreed to accommodate us for the room although it was almost check in time. What I didn't realize was when my guest left, he was told by the valet that he would be charged $15 for valet service or he would not get his car - even though he was originally told he could valet for free. I have never heard of such rudeness. Although the view of the ocean was great, the final incident of no cold water in the shower forced us to find another hotel. At $350/night this was way to pricey for this kind of service. We left.

We've stayed in far better maintained two diamonds. First, the room. We stayed in a king room with an ocean view. When we checked in we were informed that booking through a third party, you don't receive any housekeeping services, unless you pay extra. Really?!! We've never heard that before and it would have been helpful to be given that information beforehand. The room appeared to be nice upon entering, but once you actually start looking, it is not. Lacking in maintenance, furniture and cabinets beat up. Bed is in poor quality and needs to be replaced. Overall very tired looking! In the bathroom the shower is on a slide bar that doesn't go higher than 5 feet! Unfortunately whomever placed the furniture in the room saw fit to give the television and dresser the view of the ocean as opposed to the bed! And the lack of lights with working light bulbs! Overall this hotel is in dire need of an update. Definitely not 4 diamond!!

Beautiful room. Especially love the covered balcony overlooking the ocean with the Queen studio. Really beautiful bathroom - with big tub and separate spa shower. Great pool on the ocean. Excellent restaurants in the hotel. Going back.

I recently booked a week at the atlantic hotel in fort Lauderdale-I was in the city for business. while the room was nice beach front cell phone service in the hotel was virtually non existent-also there was construction being rendered which was not told to me when booking-so waking up early to sounds of drilling and men on your ledge and balcony all day was disruptive- plus the pool was closed for two days and limited the other 4 days the hotel did give me basically 300 off my stay-but again if you need your phone and want an accomadating staff look elsewhere-will never be back
