We've just enjoyed such a great week at Nonsuch Bay Resort. Beautiful, airy, well equipped accommodations; charming helpful staff; delicious meals; idyllic sailing - what more could you ask?! The resort beach did have the seaweed issue - but the ground staff were constantly on it and also the resort laid on extra shuttles to Green Island - which is absolutely a little bit of paradise, which is fragile and needs protecting. There are many interesting animals within the resort for the sharp eyed - humming birds, mongoose and large ground lizards on Green Island. We hired a car one day - nice trips to the Caribbean Turners and Darkwood beaches. The island on the whole is not heavily developed, which is really nice. Main beaches have very few people. All the staff at Nonsuch were out of this world. We had the tail end of a tropical depression for a day or two, but still we had a great time!!! Many thanks for a brilliant holiday which we hope to repeat one day!

We've just returned from our 4th time at Nonsuch Bay. Yet again, it was fantastic. It has the largest and cleanest accommodation you could find, a peaceful setting, great staff and lots to do without having to listen to an entertainment club pump out awful tunes by the pool. We stayed in 711 which was as good as 311 (identical layout), the beach cottages and the third row ground floor 2 beds. Neither is preferable. They are all fantastic. With 3 kids we utilised the Kids Club a fair amount and, as always, it was incredible. At 8, 6 and nearly 3 our kids can really make the most of Nonsuch. Especially the 8 year old who, thanks to Mickey, has finally got the sailing bug. Our 6 year old prefers the pools but enjoys the fact that Kids Club isn't some rigid schedule and is very much flexed depending on what the kids feel like doing. They are happy for her to do the bigger kids activities or do something else with her little sister. The staff are simply lovely and so competent with kids. Thanks to Natasha, Claudina, Glenna, Esther, Celine, Anika, Sharmet and Alisha for everything. The food has gone up another notch. The menu changes often and the breakfasts and lunches were amazing. Sheena and Avela do a great job and a special mention to the semi-hidden guys in the kitchen who do an amazing job cooking in the hottest place on earth. Lavanie stands there most days in full chefs whites by a huge grill cooking pasta and stir fries and a huge smile on her face. Marcus Marcus Marcus. What would that place be without him. He never stops smiling. He serves endless Antiguan Delights at the pool even when you had planned on sticking to water. He even worked through his lunch break to take our son fishing. The relationships our kids have with the staff after visiting so often is quite special. David and Everton run a right ship at the bar. They are fab. The booze is good quality and not cheap awful all inclusive booze. Canadian Club, English Harbour rum, Baileys etc... Zell was brilliant coming into our apartment daily to clean it. She even came to the pool to say goodbye to our youngest. The pools are lovely. I don't particularly care for a beach but it does the job. If you want pristine white postcard beaches then go to the West coast but beware that you will have NO WIND and will be insanely HOT. Unbearably so. You don't feel too hot at Nonsuch because you have the constant breeze. If it disappears for a day it is stifling and sweaty and you are so pleased to get it back the next day. Obviously there is seaweed on the beach since the Caribbean is swamped by it at the moment but they have staff clearing it by 9am every day. On one bad seaweed invasion staff worked through the night to clear it. This isn't a Nonsuch problem but a Caribbean problem. If you want to effectively have a honeymoon with children and for your kids to have a wholesome, exercised packed, friendship filled holiday then Nonsuch is the best place on earth. It's easy, comfortable, relaxing and good for the soul. Hence why we will be back next year. Thanks to everyone there for everything you do so brilliantly.

Firstly, I read many reviews about Nonsuch Bay prior to jetting off with my family, but nothing prepared me for just how delightful this place is. If you like a peaceful holiday, with the added benefit of wonderful water sports, the most fantastic food, lovely spacious apartments and the best staff, who all end up feeling like friends, then Nonsuch is the place you have been looking for. We arrived to be met by a lovely air conditioned car, driven promptly to Nonsuch where Michelle greeted us with a big smile, rum punch and a cold cloth. When we saw our apartment and realised it was more like a villa, we were ready to really settle into our two week break. We enjoyed trying out the sailing (although not naturals) loved the speed boat trips to Green Island (we saw a turtle) and my daughter went kayaking. All this is part of the 'All Inclusive'. They had a big problem with seaweed while we were there, Mother Nature will not be controlled. The beach team worked tirelessly to clear it day and night but in the meantime the hotel laid on hourly trips to Green Island where the waters were pure Caribbean Green and the sand white, so we actually felt it worked in our favour. I always worry that the food choices will become boring during a two week All Inclusive stay. I can honestly say I never ate the same thing twice (except for my fried eggs cooked fresh each morning by Lavanie). The quality, choice and quantity were all top notch. Schena (who brought fresh mango in for me when she heard how much I love them), Marcelle always greeted us into the restaurant with a smile and friendly chat. Maxine, Charmaine (who loves to dance) and Chris all looked after us so well. David and Everton behind the bar kept the drinks flowing. David will make you a specialised cocktail if you ask, you don't have to stick to the menu. And Marcus, in his fabulous sunshade hat, delivers drinks to you either by the pool or on the beach. Thanks for my introduction to an Antiguan Delight Marcus! And for the kids, there is the lovely Natasha. My children were a little too old for the kids club, but Natasha is loved by the children who attend. She worked everywhere, bar, sailing, moving bags as well as kids club, to ensure we had a first rate holiday. Finally I have to mention Kathleen from house keeping, who greeted me with a hug and a smile. The whole team kept our room spotless, I liked the clean bowl of water they left by the front door so you could freshen up your feet! In honesty, we feel a little bereft to be home, which is a sure sign we had the best time. I know I will be back, and I can't wait.

The hotel is amazing, indeed we are returning next year. Pros * spacious accommodation to a very high standard * friendly, helpful staff * excellent water sports available * quiet swimming pools * small resort but everyone is friendly * superb food- menu is changed every two days but has several options on it so different meals every day. Also children can order chicken nuggets if fussy. Cons * there is a lot of seaweed but this is cleaned up daily and free trips to Green Island more than make up for it Suggestions for improvement * make sun bed area around middle pool bigger * serve cocktails around pools and beach hourly Only downside was we had to ask for a late check out 24 hours before leaving( all UK flights leave early evening) and were informed that they were fully booked so had to check out at 12. We then asked for a shower room and was told to ask the morning of departure. When we did this we were told no shower room available, then when we checked out at 12 we were asked if we wanted a shower room!! This was so disappointing as we had packed away everything and had a wasted afternoon sitting in reception waiting to leave. The hotel needs to have shower rooms, even if families can just book them for an hour. Have managed to find a slightly earlier flight home for next year so we don't have the same problem next year. Very few mosquitoes, only my youngest got bitten. Tarantulas only come out when it's raining and we only saw one!

Room, food, staff, private beach, sailing and the 'All Inclusive Deal' excellent: For a 4* hotel (BA Holidays rating) it was great and easy to award a 5* TripAdvisor rating : we will return in 2018. The only negative was the seaweed in the sea although the hotel staff did an excellent job in keeping the beach clean.
