Reviews for Hotel President Wilson
You have to pay extra for the Sauna and very expensive! Usually in a five star hotel you can use the facility of the Spa but not here! Rooms need a renovation, bathroom very old and windows dirty!Staff at the reception and roof top bar are not friendly and yes i am SPG member.

Very pleasant hotel with great and very stylish rooms, a very good star restaurant and a great breakfast offer. I can only recommend it even if the prices are normally quite high. It is worth the money.

Although they say lake view but some rooms are partial lake view Lower floors rooms with full lake view have some white tents in the front blocking the view Rooms with private elevator are very noisy We had to pay double the price to change rooms with better view and a higher floor Very dirty swimming pool No mirror or place for makeup in the room A good 17 minute walk to the centre buffet breakfast does not have much veriety Excellent service Staff Very helpful and very polite Luxury rooms

Stayed here on business and the location is very good: right on the lake with great views. It's about a 20min walk into the old town. The hotel also offers complementary tickets for the water taxis/ferries. The breakfast was OK and rooms clean. The bed was not very comfortable to be honest - lumpy. The bathroom was very small and the walls extremely thin, I could hear the man next door snoring. The staff were lovely though and fetched me toiletries as I had forgotten to pack some essentials.

The Hotel sits almost at the end of Hotel Row facing Lake Geneva although only one end of the rectangular building has a full view of the Jet d'Eau. (The famous postcard worthy geyser). The rest of the rooms look at the street that runs perpendicular to the lakefront. The Hotel is sleek and modern with lots of chrome and glass with polished wood accents. The Staff is friendly enough and helpful enough although when I checked into the Ritz Carlton, Laguna Niguel I was handed a flute of champagne and greeted by name. Oh well, I was happy to be here notwithstanding that I was just another rumpled tourist to the staff. Maybe the expectation bar was set too high (by me) for top tier hotels. I was given room 218 which had a sliver of a view at the Lake and an unobstructed view of the pool and the construction crew noisily building a "Paladium" (whatever that is). The room was nice, large, spotless and had a lovely bathroom with a civilized stand alone (or make that sit alone) Bidet in it. Alas, because I whined about the construction, I was changed to room 819. This room had a smaller sliver of a view and looked out directly at the apartment building across the street. Yes, it had a Bidet. (It was a garden hose). My bad for moaning about the first room. The Hotel boasts one of the top restaurants in the City, (Bayview), and maybe it is although it was closed when I was there, leaving only a Lebanese themed restaurant in house as a second choice. Don't forget to bring your portable book light, flash light app on your phone or candles as the bulbs in the room are all 6 watts. Be prepared, breakfast is not included in your room rate, but a full breakfast can be yours for a mere 47 CHF (about $45 USD) per person so you better be hungry. The Hotel was in decent location for touring, but not as nice as staying across the Lake in the Old Town section. You get a free Metro Pass for your entire stay and that's cool. The Amenities and the Bed were sumptuous. All in all I was happy enough here.
