Stamford Grand Adelaide in Glenelg, Australia
Though South Australia may be revered for its temperate climes, savory fare and fine wine, its capital of Adelaide, surrounded by verdant parklands and the slopes of the Mount Lofty Ranges, is even more celebrated as one of the most refined cities on the continent. In this lovely resort town you'll enjoy a relaxing break by the sea at Stamford Grand Adelaide, a superb beachfront landmark that offers elegant accommodations, authentic regional cuisine, a heated outdoor pool and spa, and panoramic views of the coastline and the majestic Adelaide Hills.
You'll be gloriously entertained in Australia's young and vibrant "Festival Capital," which annually hosts several gala events. Start at a leisurely pace with bicycling, sailing, nearby golf and tennis, or fishing off the jetty that fronts the hotel. See the city from a gondola ride along the River Torrens, browse the colorful shops of Central Market, and set aside a day to tour the area's premier vineyards in McClaren Vale, Coonawarra, and Barossa Valley. South of the city, explore Kangaroo Island and its permanent sea lion colony or travel north to the Flinders Ranges region, an area of rugged beauty that borders the outback.

Reviews for Stamford Grand Adelaide
We were staying in the CBD and used the tram to get to Glenelg (it stopped right outside the hotel). We immediately thought how attractive the hotel looked and decided to stop for a drink once we had explored the seafront and the pier. Really pleased we did! The staff were lovely and the beer was good - as a bonus there was a duo playing really fantastic music. The atmosphere was amazing and as a result we had a few more drinks than we intended, If the rest of the hotel is as good it must be a great place to stay.

We had a three night stay with 2 days away and then another night on our return. Booked a city view room which was great, very large with two beds and a good sized bedroom. On our return we were given an upgraded room not only with a sea view but with the panoramic window in the centre of the hotel. This room was even better than the first. In both cases the beds were really comfortable and sleep quality excellent. Buffet breakfasts were excellent with a large choice of hot and cold food. The pool area was very good but would benefit from more sun loungers - there were only four. Hotel staff were very friendly and helpful and special thanks to the concierge who arranged for our cases to be stored between visits.

Great hotel to spend a weekend at. Rooms are very well presented and clean. Breakfast options are excellent. Staff very polite and courteous Location is perfect and negates the need to use your car whilst there as there is a tram outside the door if you want to visit the city. Parking in nearby streets is easy and saves having to use the hotel car park which is expensive. Bike storage left a bit to be desired though.

A fantastic venue at a very expense price. The rooms were very clean and tins as expected for the price. The food and service once again were done at a great standard, however we were attending our convention as middle class attendees with a family and couldn't fit into one standard rate.

Very good stay. The staff were attentive to the needs of both my wife and myself. I can only say how excellent the service was, The room was great, clean and well appointed and the bathroom had all that was needed.
