Thanks Leela for a splendid and mesmerising experience; it was indeed a serene stay. The beach is very peaceful and is a perfect place for relaxation. The staffs are very helpful and courteous. They made our stay very comfortable. The buffet at “The Restaurant” is well spread and the food is sumptuous. We had gone there for our wedding anniversary; “The Leela” made it a memory to cherish. Thank you.

Top notch! For the most part. I have stayed at all of India''s leading hotels, both in Goa and in the major cities....however...i had not yet stayed at the Leela Goa! Wow! Where to begin.... First off, a heartfelt ''Thank You'' to General Manager Mister Nair, his Rooms Division Manager Mister Kapoor and their devoted excellent staff! I felt right at home at the Leela Goa. There are many other excellent hotels in Goa, and i have stayed at both Taj Hotels, at The Planet Hollywood, and so on. But the Leela Goa is truly in a league of its own. Naturally therefore it is the recipient of several Conde Nast Traveller Awards, and also why the BRICS conference was held here a few years back. The plot of land is huge and beautiful. The biggest asset is that due to smart planning by the first builder, the beach is private. This thankfully means no loitering, no rowdy youths, and, thanks to daily cleaning crews truly clean beaches! There is the general beach area which is lovely and then there is the Club private beach which is the ultimate in privacy and offers more tranquility. The only drawback is, (something the Hotel cannot obviously do anything about), is the loud neighbouring bar/restaurant which halfway through the afternoon starts pumping out some heavy base music, at least the two afternoons/evenings i was there. When eating at the lovely seashore Restaurant Susegado, that does disturb a bit, unless ofcourse you like it, in which case it can be enjoyable. The Tiger prawns are really tasty there by the way. The breakfast is amazing! Just the way the fruit is cut is a work of art! Compliments to all the excellent team at "The Restaurant"". The various buffet options are great; and the eggs benedict are really awesome. If you stay in a Club suite you can enjoy the tranquil excellent Breakfast at the Club. The staff at all the Restaurants, the bars, and anywhere on the property deserve a big hand of applause. It is obvious that they have been very well trained! I had an excellent pedicure and manicure in the Salon, which i can reccommend. Now, despite all this excellence, it is my duty also to be honest about some small points of possible improvement. The beds are very firm..i clock in at 95 KG and still it was quite hard. They most kindly provided a duvet on top of the matress but still i did not sleep well. If i may, my advice would be to get the 3 or 4 centimter thick top matress they have at many luxury hotels all over the world. That way you can keep the strong firm matras and need only invest in this add on. However, i understand the intricaties of central purchasing for a big brand like the Leela so perhaps that is not feasible to do. I have still not had a proper caipiriha in India. It is made with Cachaca, a very specific Brazilian drink. Here it was made with rum which does not work. ( Yes, Cachaca is made from fermented sugar cane, but it is totally different from rum ).. It is like serving someone dahl made of peanuts instead of red lentils..... I had hoped the Leela would make it how it should be. Perhaps it is not possible to import cachaca due to trade regulations? If so i feel it is better not to offer than than to disappoint. I would have loved to sleep hearing nature, however the mosquito sliding doors can not be locked/can be opened from the outside; and it would be great if there were a latch/small lock added so one could sleep without the a/c if one would wish to do so. Though the property is very well guarded it still would not feel safe anywhere in the world to sleep with sliding doors that are not latched/locked. The bmw 5 is great for the airport private pick up, however being tall, i wounded my head getting out and i feel, if i may be so frank a great place like the Leela Goa would look cool with a nice SUV for the guests availing of the luxury pickup. For instance a X5 or mercedes ML.. Just a thought. I have spent several days debating what to do about the compulsory tripadvisor choice for 4 or 5 stars. I feel sleep, food and drink are the pillars that determine the experience. Now, on many levels the excellent Leela Goa is a 5 star experience , but for me the bed was too hard, so that influences things heavily, (and the drink was so not a caipirinha that i left it untouched ), ( also the Pasty chefs were excellent, but i feel more of the other food/ Restaurants could work on improving the quality of the food to come more close to the standards of the Leela Mumbai and Delhi), so i regret i have to go for the 4 stars, which says nothing about the all round level of satisfaction. Having said that, once again my heartfelt thanks to the GM, the Manager and all the excellent staff. The Leela Goa is top notch! Thank you for a wonderful stay! God willing i hope to be back soon!

This was my birthday and as I live in Goa, I've seen all of things. But it's always good to stay in a place where you feel special. This was a sudden plan and I decided to spend a night at The Leela's with my wife. From the moment you enter the main gate to the reception and to your room it was all great. You feel you are special and the property is well spread in lush green property as most of the property is covered in Greenery. The rooms have a great view as you can see the pictures. Also the property has it's access to the beach directly , with golf course , badminton and tennis court, entertainment lounge and biking track. Overall it was a nice stay and will denitley come once again and a big thank you for the lovely cake and a bottle of champagne in our room upon arrival. Special thanks to Sandhya Anil, Kim, Vimal and many more as all were welcoming towards us.
