The enduring style of the lodge, enhanced by the nature that surrounds it, has made Tu Tu’ Tun a gathering place as magical as the Rogue River. With almost a life of its own the lodge has made easy the opportunity to let down, breathe in and escape – perhaps to dream.

Shameful and greedy business. BE VERY CAUTIOUS if attempting to book here. While on a fabulous road trip throughout Northern CA and OR, my husband and I noticed that a storm with heavy rain was heading our way. After several active days on the road, Tu Tu Tun Lodge looked like a nice place to chill, have some good food and enjoy a spa treatment or two. I only had my cell phone so I called rather than trying to book online with my little screen. After talking with the woman about room options, I gave her my credit card info and booked a room. I then asked her if I could book the dinner reservations and spa treatments with her as well. She said that while she could help with the restaurant, the spa was closed. I initially thought she meant it was closed for the day but after a couple more questions realized it was closed for repair or renovation. I quickly realized we might not want to spend so much money to sit in a room and watch the rain. I asked her to hold off on booking the room until I could talk it over with my husband and get back to her. She said, "No, I asked permission to charge your card and you granted it." and she reminded me that all calls are recorded. I said that it was only 30 seconds ago and I didn't realize the spa was closed. She said that it states it on the website. Well, take a look yourselves. It says "Stay tuned for the reopening of our seasonal spa." On top of a lovely spa type photo. Hard to determine that on a cell phone. I asked to speak to a manager. She said that maybe a manager would call when they get in. After several hours and no call, I called back. The same woman answered and said that she had talked to the manager and there will be no refund because we were outside of the 14 day cancelation policy. It was 30 SECONDS after! It seemed like a booking agency who didn't want to loose their commission (looks like $189 service fee). I am currently disputing the $678.00 charge with my credit card company. Beware.

Shame on this business. We booked flights on the airline the lodge advertises on THEIR website to get to the hotel. After spending two days at the airport with the flight be delayed endlessly and eventually canceled, there was no way for us to get to the lodge. We were so looking forward to staying there but they would not let us reschedule for another date. They were happy to take our money though. We weren’t asking for a refund, just a chance to reschedule to actually experience the place. They said no and were completely unapologetic. I’m still waiting for a call from supervisor and it’s been 3 days. How do these people sleep at night?? Thanks for completely screwing us over. I will be actively telling people not to give you business.

We have stayed at TuTuTun many times and loved it. This visit was our first with the new owners. It is not the same place. The landscaping is overgrown and full of weeds. The handrails on the stairs are very rough and splintery. We stayed in the Steelhead suite. We always stay there or the Chinook suite because we prefer to cook our own meals rather than be stuck with the overpriced meals and beverage now being offered. Our kitchen was overrun by ants. We notified the front desk and the response was "Oh" Registration is now in what was the Library, separated from the hallway by a curtain. Wine storage has now taken over the previous office and front desk. All the chairs in the lounge are covered by tacky fake furs. There no longer is an evening Happy hour with free hors d'oeuvres. That was always the highpoint of the day with guests gathering by the fireplace for conversation. When we told the registration how much we enjoyed that time, the response was "There are lots of great hors d'oeuvres available in the restaurant." Bar prices are exorbitant with a surcharge The scenery is now the only wonderful thing about the Lodge

I enjoyed two quiet nights at the lodge and it was relaxing but lacked the kind of intimate and stimulating atmosphere that an actual luxury hotel would offer. I stayed in one of the glass cabins. I enjoyed the heated floors but did not like the idea of the toilet being inside of the shower.. the bed was comfortable but honestly the room was tiny, I don’t think I would get this room if I brought my partner. Also there was no WiFi/service in the one I stayed “the falcon”. It was difficult to get in touch with my family. I had to get out of my bed and walk all the way to the lobby just to send texts, so that was annoying. There is lots of space to walk around and enjoy privacy which I did enjoy. I loved sitting by the rouge river and walking around. The reception made me feel a bit awkward as I ordered the smores and they didn’t really want to set it up for me both nights unless I annoyed them about it. I felt disregarded through communication and service. I’m not used to that at all. The restaurant is okay , I had great service from Morgan. She was very friendly and kind, she recommended plenty of hikes and scenic views for me , and made sure I got everything I needed. She really helped me feel comfortable I appreciate her. This is also a place for an older crowd like 50+. I’m in my 20s… id say this place is only luxurious for someone that has never been to any nice places. I don’t think it’s worth it at this price point in my opinion.

I attended the Winemaker Series this past weekend featuring Walter Scott Wines, and the experience was absolutely superb. The wine on its own was outstanding. The food on its own was outstanding. But together, the pairing elevated both to another level. The setting is pure Oregon dreamscape. Tucked away along the river, the lodge feels like a true escape. It’s calm, grounding, and quietly beautiful. You can feel your nervous system slow down the moment you arrive. The chef deserves special recognition. Exceptionally talented, thoughtful, and precise. Every dish felt intentional, balanced, and deeply satisfying without being showy. You could tell a lot of care went into how the food supported the wine rather than competing with it. We especially appreciated his explanation of each dish and the emphasis a place on buying local. Overall, this was a five-star experience in every sense. Incredible food, exceptional wine, a stunning setting, and an atmosphere that feels restorative. Tutin Lodge is a place I’ll be thinking about for a long time.
