Sofitel Gold Coast Broadbeach

Excellent location. Great hotel if you wish to experience the Gold Coast and be close to shopping at Pacific Fair and the restaurants of Broad Beach. The service was 5 star all the way from the moment we checked in. We rang the hotel before check in to see if our room was ready and even though it was not the team was happy to call us once the our room was ready. The rooms were spacious for two people we did have a rollaway one night but apart from that for a couple its perfect. The rooms were very clean. Amenities are as you would expect in a 5 star hotel. The hotel is on top of a Woolworths which is great for snacks and the Woolies has a sushi bar which is great it you want a light meal. Room service was done through an app but it was easy to use and the food was great. The hotel is close of Pacific Fair shopping centre, the Casino and also the tram to Helensvale. There are plenty of restaurants and the Kurrawa Surf Club is across the road, become a lifelong member for $10 and enjoy member prices on food and beverage especially if you plan on heading there more than once. All in all we found the stay excellent. Pro Tip if you are planning to eat at the local restaurants do a quick search of what's available and book as the restaurants are very busy in that area.

Our family had a wonderful stay over New Year period. Our room on Level 20 overlooked the river, Star casino and convention centre. The view was fantastic. The location of the hotel was perfect for our needs...close walk to Pacific Fair shopping centre, Casino, beach and variety of stores. The buffet breakfast was one of the best we have eaten at. There was an enormous variety of hot and cold choices. It was delicious. We also enjoyed the pool on Level 3 as well as playing at the tennis court. The hotel provided all racquets and balls. We loved the complimentary cold teas at the front desk, as this was so refreshing after being out for the day. Big shout out to Vodim at breakfast who provided excellent advice on breakfast options. Also big shout out to Andy who welcomed us upon check in.

A+ gold member on Step rate stayed over 5 nights for vacation. I got upgrade to an ocean view but there was two construction crane at the front so I asked to be downgraded to the riverview room, which in the current state is much better than the oceanview. Breakfast was good, standard western option with some asian option as well. We had lunch and dinner multiple times in the restaurant due to A+ and credits from Step booking. The waiter in each case was excellent and the food was excellent. A+ discount makes the cost more comparable to eating at restaurant outside. Location is good, right in the middle of broadbeach with multiple dining options, so you are not limited just to the hotel itself. Will come back again next time in gold coast.

We stayed at Sofitel Gold Coast Broadbeach for seven nights over the New Year period and honestly, I think this hotel is a bit of a hidden gem. We secured a great rate that included breakfast, which was excellent. The standout of this hotel is absolutely the service. Every single staff member we encountered was outstanding. During our stay I became unwell, and the hotel manager, Lucas, went above and beyond to help us — his care and professionalism truly made a difference and will not be forgotten. Breakfast was another highlight. The team there were fantastic, even during what is clearly the busiest time of year. Despite staying over New Year’s Eve when the hotel was essentially fully booked, everything felt well managed and enjoyable. The location is unbeatable — truly location, location, location. Everything you need is literally downstairs, and the beach is right at your fingertips. You couldn’t ask for a better spot in Broadbeach. The pool area did get busy, which is to be expected given the time of year. It could be difficult to secure a lounge, particularly under shade, so I would suggest adding more shaded areas. That said, the pool itself is amazing, and the pool bar was excellent — drinks were always easy to order, and the staff kept things moving smoothly. New Year’s Eve was so well done. The live DJ created a fun pool-party atmosphere, and from our hotel room we had a perfect view of the Broadbeach fireworks at both 8pm and midnight, which was such a bonus. One thing that really impressed me was how quiet the rooms are. I had the best sleep — no noise at all from other guests or outside. Just peaceful and comfortable. We stayed at Sofitel Sydney Darling Harbour about a month ago, and I would honestly rate this stay as far more enjoyable overall. I’m surprised by some of the harsher reviews — our experience was excellent, and I genuinely couldn’t fault the hotel. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would absolutely return and recommend it to others.

Elanor from the reception greeted us this morning at 7 am and was absolutely charming and even allowed us to park our car in front of the hotel . She must not have realised that the French tend to sit and eat much longer than others and it did not occur to us to tell her. Mea culpa. 2 hours later when we returned to our car we found a note from the police telling us that we were not allowed to park in front of the hotel more than 10 minutes. I spoke to Michael, I believe he was the concierge and apologised for the trouble we may have caused. Michael could not have been more gracious and explained the parking dilemma to us.
