I was married March 24, 2017 at OBB. I have never been to the Bahamas before and I was very nervous planning a wedding via e-mail. I went back and forth with emails with Roschel numerous times before the wedding. Her emails seemed short and there wasn't a lot of explaining in them. I figured I would get a plain wedding with the very basics. When I got to OBB it was so windy we couldn't have the reception and wedding outside liked planned. There was a note on the door that said "Wedding in Progress" and when I looked inside I figured someone else was getting married there also because the room was decorated beautifully. When I found Roschel she said that the room was for my wedding. Her and her staff had the room decorated more beautiful than I could of ever imagined. They had lit candles on the tables, beautiful center pieces, the drapery was gorgeous...she had even hung "Mr." and "Mrs." signs on my husbands and mine chairs. The indoor venue used for my wedding was also decorated beautifully. She went above and beyond what I could of ever imagined. I had originally thought they were a little expensive, but after receiving such great service and having every last detail thought of taken care of, I gave her extra money to give to the staff. The reverend did an amazing job and the photographer was amazing also. I am so glad we chose OBB for our venue, it could not have been more perfect.

We stayed on our boat in the marina. They are still repairing after Matthew. No power at the dock, but everyone is very pleasant. We had dinner at the restaurant and it was great. We met 2 other couples who were in the marina on boats and we all had dinner together. The Grouper was cooked perfectly and when I asked for a taste of cracked conch the waiter brought a plate for all to share, compliments of the restaurant. We had a good time. They have a gym which is under renovation but very usable. The beach views were great and they allowed fishing from anywhere on the property. It was very interesting to watch the locals fish. They are all so friendly and willing to explain what they are doing. Staff is very pleasant and friendly. I would recommend visiting.

We drove out to the west end to see everything and came upon this resort. WOW were we impressed. Loved the colors, cleanliness and location, absolutely beautiful resort ocean front and has a marina too. It's right at the far end of the island so all you can see is ocean and peacefulness. We had a great lunch at the restaurant beside the resort as well. I strongly suggest to check it out and see this place. Next time we are in Freeport i'm sure it will be here.

If you are looking for a peaceful environment, nice people, and excellent food, this is the place. However, although the rooms are good, we found some discrepancies that require attention (i.e. broken safes, TV remote control inoperable, sidewalks and pathway needed fixing, no music available or entertainment at night). Understand, that the last hurricane did some damages, but the information needs to be available for people to know.

My wife and I rented a unit from a private owner, and we spent a lovely 2 weeks in April, reading, enjoying the quiet and the beautiful ocean views from our unit. All units look onto the beach and ocean. No waves here, so great for sailboat or kayak which are free for use by all guests. Pool is lovely and beach is soft white sand, no rocks. One definitely needs to rent a car to get here as it's in the northernmost part of Grand Bahama Island. The property is very safe, and the food was quite good at the beach bar/restaurant. Never ate in the formal restaurant, so no comments on that. This property is very secluded/isolated, so if you like getting away from it all, this place would be for you. Internet reception is good and units are equipped with fridge, stove, and outdoor barbecues. A small grocery store is about 5 minute drive south, and is a bit pricey, but we bought everything we needed from the Freeport area before driving up to OBB.
