Grand Cayman Beach Suites once was the site of the Hyatt Regency Grand Cayman Resort, which was situated on 90 beachfront acres. In 2008, the property transformed into a small enclave of just 53 suites. That means there’s ample room to spread out and enjoy the surroundings, namely the unending stretch of powder-white sand known as Seven Mile Beach. The hotel is home to the island’s largest Red Sail Sports branch, making wind surfing, ocean kayaking and land activities a breeze. Suites are equipped with a kitchenette that includes a fridge and microwave, but self-catering types take note: Wine Spectator named beachside restaurant Hemingway’s one of the three best restaurants in the Caribbean.
