One of our must do's when we have guests visiting Cayman. We go into the hotel bar and have Gin & Tonics . Amazing with elderflower ! Humus is really good as well plus the cuban sandwiches .

I was a solo traveler over the Christmas holidays. From the moment I arrived I was questioned why I was there alone. And throughout my stay there almost every day the staff made comments about it. The room was lovely and the beach was very pretty. The sunsets were gorgeous. After being questioned every day for a week why I was by myself, I requested to speak with the manager of the hotel. She was very nice and I had a good conversation with her and gave her some feedback about how it made me feel. I would not recommend this hotel for solo travelers. Especially over the holidays. The holidays can be difficult for people for a variety of reasons and being questioned every day with comments like, why are you traveling alone? Oh you’re here by yourself, you’re so brave, and why are you by yourself? It made me feel terrible. The holidays are difficult time for me and the constant reminder that I was by myself made me want to leave early. The overall experience was disappointing and I would not return to the Ritz Carlton Grand Cayman again.

Stayed here for five nights in an Ocean front room; beautiful resort with very nicely designed rooms and public areas, very elegantly designed, new and nicely maintained. Multiple dining options on site, I tried all and all are very nice (there are many mosquitos for outdoor seatings so repellant is a must). St June has a nice beach view, Seven great for breakfast, the Italian restaurant has a great vibe, and the afternoon tea lounge is gorgeously designed. Services very very good, from the lobby, to the restaurants, to the housekeeping - very warm hosts and hostesses. They go out of their way to help.

Spent a week here and my entire family loved every part of it. The website is extremely informative but I'll highlight a few of the great experiences we had. First off, I booked this stay through American Express Fine Hotels and Resorts Collection. That led to a room upgrade, free breakfast and a couple of other great perks that elevated our stay even more. The room is spotlessly clean and the beds were extremely comfortable. The entire property is maintained very well. Tours: We did the mangroves kayak tour and it was great. I highly recommend. We did it with our two children (ages 9 and 6) and it was beautiful and informative. Two marine biologists took us out and made it fun and educational. So glad we did this. We also booked an excursion that went out to Sting Ray City, Snorkeling and Starfish point. It left right from the dock on property instead of us having to drive to a dock. I highly recommend booking this way. The cost difference is negligible and the group is much smaller. Staff: Excellent. Quite possibly the best. The absolute best of any hotel I've stayed at on any continent. They have this adorable game for children to play in which they have a threefold with different flags from around the world. Children are supposed to find employees from each of the different countries and talk to them about their home country (all employee name tags have flags on them). It was such a fun way to meet new people and learn so much. My children never left the room without their papers and must have stopped to chat every single person we encountered. Fantastic idea! Food: Excellent. The breakfast buffet was a great way to start the day. Extremely high quality and a wide variety of choices. The selection would change slightly each day. There are menu items to order, but we found buffet to be the way to go. We did not have a chance to eat at every restaurant on property, but the ones we did were excellent. I'm not a fan of only staying on a single property, but, you could if you wanted to. Beach food options were also excellent. Little things: We of course came with our own sun protection products, but, it was nice to see that sun bloc and aloe could be found in multiple locations near pools and the beach. We are currently booking our next trip and will be staying at this Ritz-Carlton GC again. No other property can compare.
