My husband and I spent the weekend in Grand Rapids to explore the Gerald R. Ford Presidential Museum. We chose this hotel, not only for proximity to the museum, but for a bit a Tower luxury and quick get-away. We were not disappointed. We were given really good service from the front desk from the check-in to check-out. A quick request for more blankets and towels was met within 10 minutes. Late check-out was honored. We had a two very nice breakfasts downstairs at the Wolfgang Puck Kitchen, albeit the Wolfgang Puck restaurant for dinner left us wondering why we spent our money there. Would not go back. Pool was nice, but crowded with a loud beer party on the lounge chairs late Saturday afternoon. (No kidding!) Fitness room was adequate though some TVs seemed not to work. Staff on duty very polite! But the Tower suite was really nice with astounding views of the river and downtown Grand Rapids. Quiet and private, tucked away from the rest of the floor. The tub/shower/jacuzzi in this room was enough to pamper anyone. Bed was super comfortable, though the LR was rather bland, but serviceable. Linens were special. Housekeeping great! Had fridge but no microwave. Security seemed to be adequate in this very busy hotel. Bellman got us a taxi right away even though he had a lot of small families and their vans/SUV's jockeying for position at the noon checkout. He was a master at this! If we come to Grand Rapids again, we would definitely stay at this Hilton. Nice, nice memories!

My husband and I were staying at a different hotel downtown and had an unpleasant experience so after one night there we decided to move over to the Amway. Best decision ever! Every staff member from check-in, bellman, valet, and even the janitor were so professional and nice. The room was spacious and clean with a gorgeous view of the river. I am extremely impressed and would definitely stay here again!

Everything about my stay was exceptional. My room (on the modern/contemporary side) was near spotless. The bed was amazingly comfortable and the fitness center was by far the best I've used in all of my travels. I was going to rate the hotel a 4 because of the overpriced restaurants, but because the food was amazing it's not worth decreasing the overall rating. Would definitely recommend.

Have stayed at the Amway Grand a number of times; each time in a different room style -- all quite pleasant. In the older tower, I have had basic and upscale, all with a touch of history and very nice. In the Tower (along the river), the room was more modern; the view of the river, pleasant. The Amway also has excellent restaurants, and is connected by skyway to numerous other venues. I highly recommend it.

Everything about my stay was wonderful. The staff was extremely helpful and nice. They did not at all seem to be "putting on" a nice face. They were all very professional. The food was very good also.
