Beautiful Beaches, the staff always says yes.I do not understand why they water the lawn during the day and during the early evenings you have to dodge the sprinklers to get to your room! Hotel is in my opinion is in disrepair, walk ways are not even ,wires are exposed all over the property (see photo). A/C only cooled the room at night we had maintenance there twice! WARNING all the furniture sits 9 inches off the ground with sharp edges, I hit my leg and cut it my wife has a huge bruise on hers (see photos). My suggestion if your looking for luxury accommodations look elsewhere.I wish I would have read this before we booked.

I dont normally write reviews but I do read them often on gauging where I would like to stay. That being said I chose to write this review because of some of he things I see others writing. This place is amazing! Heaven on earth! I have stayed at alot of luxury resorts but this one is special! People are complaining of price, unbalanced tv's , outlet placement being wrong?!?!?!? Forget ALL that! We stayed in a Master cove suite, GORGEOUS! The room simple yet elegant! The food was amazing! The staff is AMAZING! Yes they have 1 restaurant but how many do you need? Yes the closest thing or options are far away but why would you leave?!?!?! One day we took the water taxi to Harbour Island rented a golf cart, had lunch there and walked on the pink sands beach which was beautiful but to be honest the second we got back to the cove I felt better! I dont know how to explain that other than yes Im glad I checked out Harbour island but leaving the cove is only if you want to check other areas out not for something better. And that tale of the billionaires kicking out the millionaires in Harbour Island is dumb! The Cove was better! I will definitely be back and cant wait my ONLY negative is I DONT like little prop planes so if you can do it, take a jet! ;)

I'll admit that for the first 24 hours I was unhappy. We arrived before check in time and went off to have a (delicious sushi) lunch while they prepared the room. It still wasn't ready 2 hours later but eventually they took us to a room in a block which was not what I'd booked. Turned out it was an upgrade, which was nice of them but I was after a very quiet room so they moved us to a semi-detached room at the edge of the property. That night our neighbours in the next door room were partying till 3am, so back to request another room move. However the noisies were leaving and we stayed where we were. So by breakfast on day 2 I was pretty miserable. But then it just got better and better. It's like a bunch of good friends got together to run the Cove. The staff are fantastic and appear to get on with each other, which always makes you feel relaxed. The restaurants are really good, especially the sushi, available lunch and evening. The bar staff, housekeeping, reception all lovely. The friend who picked the location did an outstanding job. The friend who they brought in to do maintenance is pretty slapdash. TVs are mounted on the walls - not straight. Ours was on a frame that was considerably bigger than the TV which made it pretty ugly. The windows have paint on the edges. There is a hideous mess of wire and scaffolding protruding from the water at the edge of one of the sublime bays. No idea why. Pretty soon I got it that this isn't the Four Seasons and relaxed into the flow of a truly remarkable place. Very Caribbean, very relaxing, great wine list - not cheap but eclectic. We'll go back and next time i'll enjoy it from the beginning.

My wife wanted to get away for a few days of R&R. Her requests were pretty simple: 3 hour flight or less from Atlanta, beautiful beach, nice accommodations, outdoor shower, great food! We found all of this and more at The Cove.

By all means pop along for a cocktail at sunset. I would personally hop in a cab and go to Daddy Joes for dinner though, fantastic food and a super chilled Bahamian atmosphere but I find the Cove a bit posey for me....depends on what your thing is. :)
