The Cove Eleuthera

We had the best visit to The Cove Eleuthera, and would go back in a heartbeat. 3 nights was simply not enough! We flew in from Nassau, and were greeted at the airport by “O”, who is a true local and knows everyone we passed on the road! He shared fun facts about the island and his experiences there, and we could have talked with him for hours! After just 15 minutes, we arrived at The Cove and were greeted with a welcome drink (very good), and our baggage was taken for us on a golf cart. Reception and check in were so easy, and our room was ready early (1pm)! We went straight into the sea after unpacking, and were in awe of the tranquility of the two beaches that seemed to be for our exclusive use. Happy Hour started off right at 5, and Shaquille our bartender was the BEST! (One of us drinks alcohol and the other does not, and he was very creative in making things for both of us). During our stay, we spent time snorkeling, watching the turtles, enjoying the ocean and the water ring floats they put out for guests, and of course resting alongside the pool. We did the sushi class with Joel, who was fabulous and very encouraging, and even tried the local rum tasting with Shaquille. I had a rejuvenating massage with Nan, and I think her hands might be magic! Everything about our stay was delightful, and we ate all meals in the Freedom restaurant, as we ended up not leaving the property during our stay. The only note I have is that the service in the restaurant was pretty slow, so make sure you leave plenty of time/are on island time and *not* in a rush. Every person we interacted with was kind, pleasant, and willing to chat/share their stories with us. We will 100% have to come back!

Nice location on the island, food is decent albeit expensive for what it is. The wine is ridiculously priced, for example one glass of oyster bay is nearly 30 USD (by the time you’ve added tax etc)… that would buy nearly 3 bottles at home, suppose that’s island import life. Peaceful & well kept grounds.

My wife and I have been to many high-end resorts in the Caribbean, including, Boase (Curacao), Parrot Cay (Turks & Caicos), Jade Mountain (St. Lucia), Turtle Inn (Belize) and Belmond Cap Jaluca (Dominican Republic). Our stay at The Cove was the very best. Best because of the combination of exceptional rooms, glorious grounds and scenery, beautiful beach and clear blue ocean, marvelous atmosphere, fine food, and wonderfully friendly and helpful staff. The atmosphere was one of elegance, and quiet. The room and terrace on the beach, the outstanding soft sand beaches, the fine lounges on the beaches, the care and attention of the staff on the beaches and the excellent availability of food and drink on the beaches, were compelling. Even a coconut with straw was offered for free. The staff everywhere, from Concierge to domestics and beach attendants, were exceptional, all extremely friendly and willing to assist. The dining was excellent in all respects, the food was incredible, with unusually large portions, sometimes too much for us. And, the fitness center was inimitable for a resort, spotless with both state-of-the-art machines and dumbells, and fresh fruit, protein snacks and water, with a beautiful view of flora everywhere. Our stay could not have been better.

Great resort, beaches and service. Worth the very high price for those who can afford it. Atmosphere and environment were great!

The Cove is a great place to go relax and feel like you are the only one at the resort. The staff is very special and the location and the rooms are beautiful. The restaurant food is great, sushi was exceptional. We had the best time and would definitely return.
